All sentient beings need to do is follow his enlightenment to remove their confusion and eliminate their karma, and they will all be able to become Buddhas in the future. ”

"So, didn't the Buddha create the eighteen layers of hell to punish sentient beings?"

"Naturally not, how can I punish sentient beings for no reason if I am a Buddha, I am compassionate?"

"But I don't believe this," the man was very stubborn, "for example, if someone does something bad, there must be an official to arrest him and punish him, right? If no one takes care of it, the bad guy will never go to prison by himself." Hell is the same, if there is no god or Buddha to control it, will anyone walk in by themselves?"

"Hell is not a prison, it is what all beings feel in their hearts. Think about it, isn't the place of extreme trouble and suffering hell? When you are in pain, is it like being in hell? Who decided that you would go to hell? If you are at peace in your heart, happy, happy, and have a positive attitude, it will be like you are in the Pure Land, and who will decide that you will ascend to the Pure Land?"

"Good causes feel good results, and evil causes suffer evil results, just like flowing water downward, not who can decide, but the good and evil of people's hearts, and the pull of karma. ”

Seeing that the Dao man was silent for a while, Jiang Liu'er continued: "All the suffering in hell is felt by the karma of sentient beings. So, hell is full when there is only one person, and it is full when there are tens of millions, but for those who are pure in heart, hell does not exist at all, but for others, it is real. So, everything is in your own heart. ”

"Couldn't the Buddha save these beings?" someone asked.

"The reincarnation of all living beings is controlled by their own karma, and they can only save themselves. However, the Buddha will use wisdom to guide you to free yourself from your troubles and complete your self-salvation. The Buddha does not sit idly by, he is a sage of great compassion and wisdom, and he would rather suffer himself than atone for the sins of sentient beings. Jiang Liuer replied.

The Buddha not only goes to hell, but also lives in hell, not only abstinently, but also always enjoys hell, not only in hell, but also in hell of majesty. ”

"Jizo Bodhisattva also made a grand wish: all sentient beings will be exhausted, and Bodhi will be proven, and hell will not be empty, and he will not become a Buddha. Jizo Bodhisattva could have become a Buddha before the immeasurable eons, but he was willing to go down to hell as a bodhisattva to spend all living beings there. ”

At the foot of the altar, someone was moved by the great wish and compassion of the Jizo Bodhisattva, and asked, "Isn't it true that the Jizo Bodhisattva will never become a Buddha?"

Jiang Liu'er smiled slightly: "This is the difference between a bodhisattva and sentient beings." Such a great heart of compassion and a great vow to do it knowing that it cannot be done. If ordinary people can do it, then just this thought is a bodhisattva. ”

"What exactly is a bodhisattva?" someone asked.

Jiang Liu'er sighed a little in his heart, this was the question he had asked Elder Fa Ming when he was a child, and now someone asked him this question.

"Bodhisattva is an abbreviated name for the Sanskrit pronunciation 'Bodhisattva'. Bodhi, the meaning of enlightenment, wisdom, and the Tao, and the meaning of Satan, sentient beings, sentient beings, and Bodhi Satana means 'all sentient beings in the Dao, sentient beings in the Dao, sentient beings in the Great Awakening, and sentient beings in the heart of the Dao'.

"Whoever has a great aspiration wants to redeem himself and all sentient beings from the sea of suffering and attain happiness, and to free himself and all sentient beings from the cycle of birth and death, so as to attain complete enlightenment. Such a person is called a bodhisattva. ”

"In this case, ordinary people can also be bodhisattvas?"

"Yes, a bodhisattva is an ordinary cultivator, and ordinary people can also be bodhisattvas. When a mortal realizes the suffering of sentient beings, sympathizes with the suffering of sentient beings, and then sets out to relieve the suffering of sentient beings, this is a bodhisattva. In this world of samsara that we live in, in addition to the immeasurable and endless sentient beings, there are also countless bodhisattvas who have come by taking their vows. ”

"Dare to ask Master Xuanzang, who are the bodhisattvas who came with a wish?" someone asked curiously.
