Thirty-seven, three things for goodness

The good times are hard to last, and the prince is abolished

It was logical for 02020202 Daishan to become the heir to the Khan. In terms of grandeur, Dai Shan is Chu Ying's younger brother and is the son-in-law; in terms of elder and younger, apart from Chu Ying, he is the oldest among Nurhachi's 15 sons; in terms of military merits, he is the author of the most military merits among the beylers; in terms of power, he is the "big beyler" among the four major beylers of the adjugator, ranking first; in terms of strength, he is second only to his father Khan in the red and red flags. But things have always had two sides, Dai Shan, as the crown prince, is the most competitive, and he is also the easiest to become the target of public criticism. Three things happened in the fifth year of the Mandate of Heaven, and these three things were fatal to the "prince" Dai Shan.

02020202 first incident that shook the crown prince's throne was the revelation of the ambiguous relationship between Daishan and the eldest concubine Ulanara. In March of the fifth year of the Mandate of Heaven (1620), Khan's concubine Tayincha reported that Taizu's fourth concubine, Ulanara Abahai (the mother of Dolgon), had twice prepared food for Daishan to eat, and Daishan "received and ate it". Moreover, the eldest concubine sent people to Da Baylor's house two or three times a day, and was discharged from the hospital two or three times late at night. In the course of the trial, the ministers of Zhu Beile also said that they had all witnessed the great fortune of the great fortune and the elder brother of Dai Shan when he used the banquet or the political discussion. Taizu hated and annoyed this, but in the end, because he had spoken first, he wanted to hand over the young sons and Dafujin to be raised by the eldest brother, and the Manchus have always had the custom of step-marriage between the father and the son and the wife of the mother, and there is no conclusive evidence to prove how Daishan misbehaved, so Taizu is not good to directly punish Daishan, so he can only find a charge of stealing property from Dafujin and leave him. Although Dai Shan, who is the crown prince, has not been convicted for this, but from the old tears of Taizu when he counted the sins of the Great Fortune and Jin in public, it shows that Dai Shan, as the crown prince, broke the heart of his father Khan. And after this incident, Dai Shan's prestige also plummeted.

02020202 Secondly, in the process of moving the capital to build a residential land, Dai Shan's false filial piety made Taizu see clearly his greedy and selfish side. In March and April of the fifth year of the Mandate of Heaven (1620), when the Later Jin Kingdom was preparing to move from the Boundary Domain City to Salhu City, Taizu inspected and designated the residences of each Belle to build mansions. Daishan saw that his eldest son Yuetuo's housestead was better than his own, and Khan's homestead was smaller than his own, so he proposed that he ask Khan to live in his homestead because "the dwelling he renovated is wider and better than the land renovated by Khan". After Taizu agreed, Dai Shan successively asked Mang Gurtai and Amin to ask for his life, saying that the place where he lived was small and he intended to occupy Yue Tuo's homestead. In the end, Taizu decided, "I still live in the place where I renovate." Since you think that the place you renovated is good, you can take your young sons to renovate and live in this good place. That is, Taizu still built a house and lived in the original renovated place, and gave up the spacious land to Daishan. In the historical materials that record the whole thing, there is no single word of Taizu reproaching Dai Shan, but his heart must be disappointed in what Dai Shan did. At this time, Taizu had just abandoned the concubine for only a few days, and Dai Shan did not check it like this, although the palace system had not been strictly established at that time, but the homestead of his father Khan should not be inferior to anyone. After this incident, it should be conceivable what Daishan's status in Taizu's mind is.

02020202 soon, there was another incident in which Daishan abused his ex-wife's sons Yue Tuo and Shuo Tuo, and this incident eventually evolved into the fuse for the abolition of the position of Prince Daishan. In the process of fighting for the homestead above, Dai Shan's attitude towards his eldest son Yue Tuo has been seen, and his attitude towards his second son Shuo Tuo is even worse. On the third day of the ninth month of the fifth year of the Mandate of Heaven, Shuotuo, the second son of Daishan, suddenly disappeared, and some people said that he "defected" to the Ming Dynasty. Before it was determined whether Shuoto had defected, Daishan insisted that Shuotuo had the intention of defecting, and after finding Shuotuo and making it clear that he had not escaped, Daishan was still stubborn and knelt down to Taizu five or six times to beg Shuoto to be killed. Daishan's request was naturally refused, and instead, Taejo released Shuoto.

02020202 the matter did not end there, and Taizu began to investigate the treatment of Daishan's two ex-wives' sons. At this point, Dai Shan did have a ghost in his heart, so when Taizu personally asked Dai Shan about the assets given to Shuotuo's people, Dai Shan did not dare to answer positively, but said that Shuo Tuo had committed adultery with his concubine. Taizu immediately interrogated the witnesses himself, and it turned out that Shuotuo had been falsely accused, and that the assets of Daishan's sons Yue Tuo and Shuotuo were worse than those of other half-brothers. This made Taizu deeply hateful, because Taizu was deeply abused by his stepmother when he was a child, so he himself paid great attention to his sons, and the treatment given to Chu Ying and Dai Shan, who lost their mothers at a young age, was particularly generous. Therefore, Taizu angrily rebuked Dai Shan and said, "You are also the son of your ex-wife, why don't you want to think that I am not closer to you? Why are you deceived by your step-wife and abuse your adult son? Not to mention that I have always treated you as a specially selected and good subordinate for you to be in charge of, why can't you give the good subordinates to Yue Tuo and Shuotuo like me?

02020202 what Taizu said next involved state politics, saying that Dai Shan listened to his false words of succeeding Fujin and wanted to kill his own son, since he dared to kill his own son, then how will you treat other brothers in the future? If you have the heart to kill your own son and brothers, what qualifications do you have to be the king of a country? Taizu's words are very similar to what the eldest son Chu Ying said before, but there is a detail worth noting at this time, when Taizu wants to abolish the position of the crown prince of Daishan, he no longer has any objections like the abolition of Chu Ying, when Taizu reprimanded Daishan, only Mang Gurtai made it clear that he was on the side of his father Khan, and the rest of the ministers of Beile were all wait-and-see. Therefore, Taizu ordered Amin, Huang Taiji, and Huerhan, one of the five ministers, to make a clear statement, saying that if you think that me and Mang Gurtai are wrong, then Huang Taiji, Amin, and Huerhan should swear on the spot. "If you swear", then the two of us will admit our mistakes. If you don't swear, then why are you still sitting on Dai Shan's side? Hurry up and make a decision! The above three people immediately stood on Taizu's side. Then, Taizu announced, "The crown prince is now abolished, and all the officials and subordinates of the dictatorship will be seized." At this point, Daishan lost the position of crown prince.

On September 28, 02020202, Dai Shan, who had been deposed as a concubine, personally killed Jifujin, who had caused a dispute, and sent someone to Qilu, saying, "If Father Khan is reborn without the death penalty", then please ask Father Khan to allow him to confess his guilt. Dai Shan's action of repentance and rehabilitation was forgiven by Taizu, but because Zhu Beile had agreed to abolish Dai Shan's crown prince, in order to alleviate the contradiction between Dai Shan and Zhu Beile, Taizu ordered Dai Shan and Zhu Beile to swear separately to express their ignorance. So Daishan and Zhubeile each made an "oath".

02020202 the end, Taizu made Amin, Mang Gurtai, Huang Taiji, Derge, Yuetuo, Zilharang, Azig, Duoduo, Dolgon, and Daishan Belle as "Heshuo Ezhen". He pointed out that those who become "Khan" in the future will accept the gift of Bahe Shuobeile and "eat their contributions", and in government affairs, Khan must not act arbitrarily. "Khan inherits the mandate of heaven to govern, if any one of them wants to do evil and disrupt government affairs, the remaining seven Heshuo Zhen will be humiliated, and they will be killed." If a person who lives a strict and moral life, is diligent in his administration, and is just, even if the Khan of a country wants to depose or demote him out of "his own selfish grudge", "the other people of the Seven Banners may not give in to the Khan." This shows that after the two failures of the pre-establishment of Chu Ying and Dai Shan's heirs, Taizu's original intention began to change significantly, and the initial model of establishing the idea of co-governing the country with Shuobeile was produced. In March of the seventh year of the Mandate of Heaven (1622), Taizu formally established the system of co-governance with Shuobeile in Liaoyang, stipulating that the king of a country would be elected from Heshuobeiler, and Heshuobeile had the power to promote, recall, and change the monarch. Therefore, the Great Belle Daishan and the other Heshuo Beylers stood on the same starting line, that is, they had the qualifications to become the king of a country after the death of Taizu.

On August 11, the 11th year of the Mandate of Heaven (1626), Taizu died of illness. According to records, at the critical moment when the throne of the Khan was vacant, the two brothers, Yue Tuo, the eldest son of Dai Shan, and the third son, Sakhalian, came to the mansion of their father Dai Shan together and advised his father, "The country should not be left without a king for a day, and it is better to make a big plan as soon as possible." The four Baylors (referring to Huang Taiji) are virtuous and crowned the world, deeply in line with the sacred heart of the first emperor, and everyone is pleased, and they should succeed to the throne as soon as possible". Dai Shan's attitude towards this suggestion is that this is also my long-standing wish. The next day, when the ministers of Zhubeile were assembled, Dai Shan told the proposal to Amin, Mang Gurtai, and Bel Abatai, Dege, Zilharang, Azig, Dolgon, Duoduo, Dudu, Shuoto, Hauge, etc., who were also the Great Beylers, and everyone had no objection, so the "conjunction" asked Taizong to ascend the throne, and Taizong "followed" after repeated resignations. In fact, the background of Taizong's accession to the throne is not as simple as recorded in official historical records. Huang Taiji is the eighth son of Taizu, born to the third concubine Yehenala clan, and is also a descendant. Among the "Four Baylors", he is the youngest, but his prestige is quite high, he is not only "extremely brave, quite feathered, and the generals are all elite", but also in the Zhubeile there is a "only literacy cloud" said, that is, the highest cultural literacy. In the process of seeking the throne, Taizong has always been unwilling to be lonely. If he was still a supporting actor in the struggle against Chu Ying, then Dai Shan's deposition as the crown prince was directly related to him. As mentioned above, there was a case in which Taizu's concubine exposed Dai Shan's ambiguous relationship with the eldest concubine in the Boundary Domain, that is, some scholars believe that it is very likely that Huang Taiji, who has a heart of contention, instructed the concubine to do it "behind his back".

After 02020202 moved the capital to Liaoyang, Taizong's struggle for the throne intensified, and it is recorded in Korean historical records that Taizong "relied on his father's preference and harbored a plan to kill his brother". Taizu's younger brother Adun once secretly told Dai Shan that Huang Taiji and others "will want to try you, and the opportunity is imminent, so you must be prepared." Dai Shan ran to Taizu and cried, Taizu summoned the three major Baylors to question, and the three of them "said nothing to themselves", and finally closed the case by chaining Adun to an iron lock and imprisoning him in a high-walled room. In view of this, Taizu swore to heaven with the princes and nephews of Daishan, Amin, Mang Gurtai, Huang Taiji, Dege, Zierharang, Azig, Yue Tuo and other princes and nephews that they would not allow their descendants to "start killing". It can be seen from this that Taizong has achieved an advantage in the competition for the throne, and Dai Shan's strength lies in his ability to judge the situation, after the tempering of the vicissitudes of the world, his heart is firm, and he no longer covets the throne, so there is a scene in which Dai Shan supports Taizong's accession to the throne in the previous article.

02020202 is the most senior Da Belle Daishan because of the "support", which greatly bridged the emotional rift with Taizong during the struggle for the throne, and for a long time, the brothers not only got along well, but also got along well. For example, during the Tiancong period, every New Year's Day, Taizong always led Zhubeile and others to the mansion of the eldest brother Daishan, personally came to the door to congratulate the festival, and sometimes rewarded each other with banquets.

On the second day of the first month of the sixth year of 02020202 Tiancong (1632), Taizong held a banquet to entertain Daishan and Mang Gurtai. When the two of them were summoned, Taizong personally greeted them outside the gate of Qingning Palace, and invited "two Baylors to go first". When seated, Taizong asked Dai Shan to sit in the middle, "Dai Shan to cross the words", asked Taizong to "sit in the middle", Taizong said, "out of the palace and sit, the court is also in the court; Although Taizong repeatedly gave in, he was kind and "fixed". Finally, on a couch, Taizong and Dai Shan sat on the left and right. When Zhonggong Fujin Zhezhe and Zhongfu Jin worshiped Dai Shan on New Year's Day, Taizong left his seat and stood aside, Dai Shan did not know why, Taizong explained, I am the head of this family. When wives and concubines worship their brothers, they should not sit together. After the banquet, Taizong wanted to leave the seat and personally deaf the lord to Dai Shan into wine, "on behalf of the good", Taizong that is, "kneeling on the couch, holding the jade to serve the good, kneeling on behalf of the good, drinking less, turning to Mang Gurtai, after drinking, on the gold to drink". On the banquet, Taizong "drank the good three, and drank the reckless Gurtai one", and at the same time made the Zhubeile who attended the banquet "hand in the wine", originally Taizong and Dai Shan were not good at drinking, but this time it was "entertaining each other, all drunk", that is, toasting and drinking with each other, drinking red and red, very happy. After the banquet, Taizong also "gave Dai Shan with the royal black fox hat, mink fur, mink coat, golden belt, and boots; Four days later, that is, on the sixth day of the first month, the Great Belle Daishan invited Taizong to "be fortunate in its first place and set up a feast" in the New Year. On this day, because Dai Shan vigorously persuaded him to drink, he also "entered the knight many times". During the banquet, Dai Shan also "drove to the good fortune", specially offered 2 saddle horses, 1 empty horse, and participated in the banquet Bel Yueto, Shuotuo, and Sakhalian also offered horses, but Taizong only accepted the horses offered by Dai Shan. The above historical facts show that Dai Shan knows a lot of depth and treats each other with courtesy in everything, so that even if there is a misunderstanding between the two brothers, it will disappear.

In December of the fourth year of 02020202 Tiancong (1630), Taizong led Zhu Beile and others to "hunt in the Jidun place", and the Mongols under the Dabeile Daishan made a mistake when shooting the roe deer, so that they shot Taizong's "imperial clothes", and Daishan "rushed forward", not only worried about Taizong's safety, but also afraid that Taizong would misunderstand that he had the intention of murder, so he was so anxious that he cried and complained, "The upper is entrusted by the public, this slave mistakenly shot the imperial clothes, and touched the skin, what can I do?" Therefore, Daishan and Yue Tuo wanted to shoot Mengke, but Taizong stopped the two. However, Dai Shanwei insisted on killing Mengke in order to show his loyalty, so that Taizong had to make Yang Guli responsible for guarding Mengke. Later, Taizong believed that this person was indeed shot by mistake, and only "whipped a hundred and released it", showing full trust in Dai Shan.

During the years of 02020202 Tiancong and Chongde, Dai Shan, as a father, was very unfortunate and sent away 4 sons successively. At this time, Taizong will do his best to comfort him deeply. In June of the fifth year of Tiancong (1631), Barama, the fifth of Daishan's youngest sons, died of illness at the age of 24. Dai Shan lost his beloved son and was so sad that he lost his diet. At that time, there was a big outbreak of pox, and all the Belles were afraid of being infected, and "none of them were dying". Taizong, who was avoiding acne in the "acne shelter", heard it and immediately said that he wanted to visit his brother. Dai Shan repeatedly sent people to ask for a stop, but Taizong still came in person. For this reason, Dai Shan "waited ten miles away", because he had not eaten and sold for many days, so he was "waiting for Dai Shan" by two attendants. Taizong Zhi, seeing this scene, couldn't help but "whimper", but instead Dai Shan comforted Taizong "don't mourn", and said that Balama died early and could not "serve the above", which was very regrettable. Taizong stopped his grief at this time, and persuaded Dai Shan to comfort Dai Shan with Taizu's testament that "it is advisable to stop mourning and strive for national politics", and "personally drink wine with gold", please drink two cups of Dai Shan, and persuade him to eat, because it was the height of summer, he immediately "split two melons" and let Dai Shan "eat it".

In May of the first year of Chongde (1636) in 02020202, Sakhalian, the third son of Daishan, died of illness, and Taizong "accompanied Prince Daishan of Heshuoli and Prince Yue of Shuocheng to watch fishing in the Hunhe River" to relieve Daishan's worries. In May of the fourth year of Chongde (1639), Daishan's two sons, Yue Tuo and Ma Zhan, led the army to conquer the Ming Dynasty and died in the army. The bad news came, Taizong sat on the ground and "cried", Dai Shan was "off the horse and servant" and cried bitterly, for a long time, Taizong ordered to help Dai Shan on the horse, and in the process of crying and walking, Dai Shan again "cried under the horse", Taizong "immediately waited", so that the two of them "supported and rode on the horse". After the funeral, because of Daishan's "family mourning", Taizong "is the prince and the kings, Baylor, Beizi, and ministers", went out of the Desheng Gate, "fished in the Hunhe River, and set up a feast" to comfort the good. Generally speaking, Dai Shan does not have the heart to compete for the position, so he has also won the respect and courtesy of Taizong, but this does not mean that there is no contradiction between the two brothers, but compared to the brotherhood, it will not hurt the muscles and bones. 02
