Chapter 69: Telling the Truth
With the order of the prefect of Suzhou, the errands who were standing on both sides of the lobby immediately stepped forward and tied up Yu Fei'er. [Ran^Text^Library] Yu Fei'er hurriedly explained loudly to the Suzhou prefect: "My lord, didn't you admit it just now, this round of lake water rise is not a natural disaster, but *."@樂@文@小@说 Judging from the trail, it is very likely that the rise of the lake is the work of the demon road, and its purpose is to force adults to obey. Now, my lord, you still want to send someone to invite that demon Dao to come out of the mountain, don't you just fall for the trick of that demon Dao? Your Excellency, if you insist that the rise of this lake is related to the river god, haven't you ever thought about how this heavenly immortal can do such a thing that disregards the lives of the people in the human world? Only a person with a bad mind would do such a rebellious thing. Adult, you must trust the trail and let the trail find out the reason why the lake is rising. My lord...... My lord...... If this demon road is not removed, Suzhou City will never have peace!"
But no matter how Yu Fei'er persuaded him, the prefect of Suzhou was still determined to ask the immortal in Longdong Mountain to come out to help. With a wave of the prefect of Suzhou's hand, those servants immediately escorted Yu Fei'er out of the lobby.
After Yu Fei'er was escorted out of the lobby, the leading official immediately came to the prefect and said with concern: "My lord, you just said that you wanted the little ones to go to Longdong Mountain to invite the immortals out of the mountain, but now the water level in Zhenze Lake has risen sharply, maybe the small boats have been overturned in the lake by the big waves set off by the lake before they get close to Naxishan Island." ”
After listening to the words of the leading officer, he immediately took out a few talismans from his arms and handed them to the leading officer, and said: "Here are a few talismans left by the immortals before, as long as you stick these talismans on the boat, you should be able to enter and exit freely in the Zhenze Lake as usual." ”
The leader took the talisman from the prefect's hand, although he was unwilling in his heart, but he didn't dare to disobey the lord's order, so he had to take a few of his subordinates out of the prefect's yamen and invite the immortal in the Dragon Cave Mountain.
Let's talk about that Yufei'er. Escorted all the way by the messenger gate, Yu Fei'er was taken to the cell where he had squatted the day before. As the guards pushed Yu Fei'er into the cell and locked the prison door, one of the officers said to Yu Fei'er: "Little Taoist, I see that you will not be able to get out of this cell door this time. With that, the officers left the prefect's prison.
Looking at the distant figures of the servants outside the prison door, Yu Fei'er sighed and said, "Ahem! There is such an ignorant prefect in Suzhou City, it seems that the people of Suzhou City will inevitably suffer another catastrophe this time." ”
"I didn't expect that you, the little Taoist, had only been out for a day, and now he was arrested again. Listening to the tone of the messenger just now, maybe if you come in this time, you will never want to go out again, and there will be no more good food and drink to serve you. I'm looking at you, I'm still worried about yourself!" a voice came from the corner.
Yu Fei'er quickly turned around and looked in the direction where the voice came from. It was the disciple of Longdong Mountain who was locked up in the same cell as him the day before yesterday. Seeing the disciple of Longdong Mountain, the anger in Yu Fei'er's heart did not come to a place, and he immediately said to the disciple of Longdong Mountain in a mocking tone: "Xiaodao, can I go out, how can I worry about you." I think you should think more about whether you can get out. By the way, didn't that Suzhou prefect always regard your master as a life-saving bodhisattva? It stands to reason that as his disciple, you should be treated with courtesy, so why do you still suffer in this prefect's prison? Could it be that you have done some kind of adultery and plunder before?"
This Suzhou prefect does not believe my truth, and he has to take this life-saving Bodhisattva as a life-saving Bodhisattva. I think this prefect of Suzhou will die sooner or later at the hands of my master. No, no, it should have died at the hands of that person. Listening to Yu Fei'er's words of mocking him, the disciple of Longdong Mountain not only did not get angry with Yu Fei'er, but instead became angry with the prefect of Suzhou.
Yu Fei'er originally wanted to use these words to test the disciple of Longdong Mountain and hear why he was locked up in this prefect's prison, but who would have thought that this disciple of Longdong Mountain would say such inexplicable words after listening to his words of mocking him. From the complaining words of this disciple of Longdong Mountain, Yu Fei'er could tell that this disciple of Longdong Mountain not only knew some secrets about his master, but also told this secret to the prefect of Suzhou.
What kind of secret could it be? Yu Fei'er immediately asked tentatively: "This Suzhou prefect is obedient to your master, and your master can't help him yet, how can he still harm his life?"
"You won't believe it, the current host of Longdong Mountain is not my master at all, but ......" The disciple of Longdong Mountain stopped talking.
Yu Fei'er hurriedly asked, "And what?"
The Dragon Cave Mountain disciple glanced at Yu Fei'er and asked, "Little Daoist, don't be in a hurry to ask me first, you better tell me about yourself first, why were you locked up again?"
Yu Fei'er held back the curiosity in her heart and told the Dragon Cave Mountain disciple in detail what had happened this morning. When this Longdong Mountain disciple heard that the water in Zhenze Lake was now rising rapidly, he stood up with a "poof", his expression was flustered, and his mouth kept saying, "It's over, it's over, that thing is really going to happen." ”
"What are you going to know? Tell me. Yu Fei'er hurriedly stepped forward and grabbed the hand of the Dragon Cave Mountain disciple and asked.
"Little Taoist, my hands are about to be pinched off by you, let go. After his wrist was grabbed by Yu Fei'er, the disciple of Longdong Mountain screamed in pain and begged for mercy loudly.
"Of course you can ask me to let go, but you have to tell me all the truth you know. Yu Fei'er replied.
"Alright, alright, let go. As Yu Fei'er let go of his hand, this Longdong Mountain disciple hurriedly retracted his hand into his arms, kept rubbing it, and at the same time did not forget to say in his mouth: "You little Taoist, you don't look big, how can the strength in your hand be so great?"
"Stop talking nonsense, talk about it. Yu Fei'er urged.
"Just say it, I'm afraid that if I say it, you won't believe it. Just over 10 days ago, I told the prefect of Suzhou the truth that I knew, and after listening to the truth I said, the prefect actually said that I was deliberately fabricating the facts and slandering my master, and then he put me in this prefect's prison. Cough!" Speaking of this, this Dragon Cave Mountain disciple couldn't help but sigh.
"What kind of truth did you tell the prefect of Suzhou, and why did he put you in this prefect's prison? Yu Fei'er urged.
"Little Taoist, don't worry, listen to me slowly, if you want to explain this matter, it will start with a painting that my master accidentally found five years ago. Speaking of this, this disciple of Longdong Mountain immediately entered his own memories:
It was one night five years ago. That night, after dinner, my master, as usual, went to the library of the church to read the books left by my ancestors. Just as my master was taking out an ancient book from the shelf, a piece of paper that had been folded like dried tofu suddenly fell out of the ancient book. My master hurriedly bent down and picked up the piece of paper from the ground, and when he opened it, there was a picture drawn on it: there was an island in the middle of the blue lake, and on the island stood a temple, and there was a hill behind the temple. Although the area of this hill in the picture is small, you can still faintly see the words "fairy cave" carved on the rock wall of this hill. In addition to such a painting on this piece of paper, there is also a couplet in the upper left corner, the upper couplet is: "Three passes through its door to the void of Xin Ren Guijia", and the lower couplet is: "Eight years in the outer Pingcheng River Han Jianghuai". And just below this couplet, there is also a poem: "On the stone wall of playing the piano, turn over an immortal."
This picture on the paper, together with this couplet, and this line of poetry, seems to be what the painter intended to express? My master thought about it all night, but he never understood what he wanted to convey in this painting. So the next morning, my master gathered all the elders and disciples of the sect together. As soon as my master showed the painting he had stumbled upon to all the people present, the elders and brothers in the audience immediately began to talk about it. After some discussion, they finally agreed that the painting on the paper was most likely painted by some of the ancestors of the church. But I didn't agree with them when I saw this painting, because this couplet in the painting gave me a sense of déjà vu, as if I had seen it somewhere not long ago. So, I took this painting and said to my master, "Where does the disciple in this painting seem to have seen it, let the disciple think about it again." With that, I looked at the painting again and again.
As I focused my attention on the small temple in the picture, I finally remembered that I had seen this couplet in a temple just the other day. As for this temple, it is located in the northwest corner of our Xishan Island. Speaking of this area in the northwest corner of Xishan Island, there are weeds here, in addition to snakes and insects from time to time, it is said that there are often ghosts here. Therefore, a long time ago, our patriarch in Longdong Mountain left a testament: there is a demon in the northwest of Xishan Island, and the disciples must not enter, otherwise a catastrophe will come. In order to warn the disciples in the Dragon Cave Mountain, do not enter this area. However, just a few days ago, I actually broke into it by mistake, and my behavior ended up harming my master and bringing a catastrophe to Suzhou City.
"Ahem!" Recalling this, the Dragon Cave Mountain disciple sighed, and his face couldn't help but show a look of guilt and fear. Yu Fei'er hurriedly comforted him and said, "Brother Dao, don't be afraid, no matter what you know, you have to tell me the truth, I will definitely believe what you say, and I will keep it a secret for you." ”
If I hadn't strayed into that forbidden area before, I wouldn't have led my master into that temple, and I wouldn't have had the series of things that happened later. It's all my fault, it's all my fault!" the Dragon Cave Mountain disciple complained to himself, and then he began to recall what had happened before:
In order to refine a unique elixir, I had been looking for a medicinal herb called "Whole Worm" on the island for some time. To put it in layman's terms, this medicinal herb called "whole worm" is actually what we often call a scorpion. Since this medicinal herb is very rare on Xishan Island, I searched almost the entire Xishan Island and failed to find this medicinal material, but I did not give up because of this. Finally, one day, I stumbled upon the forbidden area in the northwest corner of Xishan Island. At that time, I completely forgot the ancestral teachings of my own teaching, and stepped into that forbidden land. Shortly after I stepped into the area, a large scorpion appeared in the middle of a weed not far from me. Overjoyed, I immediately chased after it, but before I could get close to the scorpion, the scorpion that appeared in the weeds seemed to have spotted me and immediately fled towards the depths of the forbidden area. At this time, I only had this scorpion in my eyes, where was I willing to stop, and immediately followed this scorpion and ran all the way to the depths of the forbidden area. I was about to catch up with the scorpion when a dilapidated temple suddenly appeared in front of me. The scorpion quickly slipped into the temple wall and disappeared from my sight.
When I came to the outer wall of this temple, I began to look along the outer wall of this temple to see if there was a gate to enter the temple. As I had circled the outer walls of the temple for almost half a circle, I finally found two broken wooden doors in front of one of the gatehouses of the temple. Then, I raised my head and looked above the gatehouse, only to see a wooden plaque hanging obliquely above the gatehouse, due to the perennial wind and sun, the handwriting on the wooden plaque was difficult to distinguish. As I looked to the sides of the gatehouse, I saw that many of the bricks on both sides of the gatehouse had collapsed, revealing wooden beams that had been corroded black. The gatehouse looked crumbling, and the cold gave the impression that it was going to collapse at any moment.
After seeing that the two wooden doors in the gatehouse were in a state of concealment, I hurriedly took a few steps forward and pushed the two doors open with my own eyes, and the sound of "creaking" came from my ears. Although I knew very well in my heart that the sound must have been produced by the friction of the hinges of the two wooden doors, the sound sounded to my ears as if it were coming from the depths of the temple.
With the "creaking" sound caused by the friction of the wood, a gust of cold wind suddenly rushed towards me, making me shiver, which finally reminded me of the ancestral teachings in the sect. Thinking of the ghosts here, I couldn't help but look up at the sky. Unexpectedly, the sky had already darkened at this moment, and I couldn't help but feel a little worried in my heart, and the whole person was stunned outside the door, pushing the two doors with my hands, not knowing whether I should go in or leave here?
Just as I was hesitating, I suddenly noticed that the scorpion was crawling on a stone slab in front of the main hall of this temple. I gritted my teeth, mustered up courage, and lifted my legs and stepped into the temple. But it turned out to be the same as before, the scorpion seemed to know that I was chasing it, and when I was about to approach it, it quickly fled into the main hall. Seeing that what was about to slip away again, I hesitated for a moment, then gritted my teeth, and immediately followed the scorpion into the main hall of the temple.
Hearing this, Yu Fei'er couldn't help but interrupt the memories of the disciple of Longdong Mountain, and asked, "Brother Dao, what kind of temple is this, and what kind of immortals are enshrined in the main hall of this temple?"
Anyone who hears this will have the same questions in their hearts as Yu Fei'er. So, after this Longdong Mountain disciple enters the main hall of this temple, what will happen to him next? Please continue to pay attention to Chapter 70 of "Xuan Wu Feiyang": Seeking Immortals.
