Chapter Seventy-One: Practice

It wasn't until Ma Guo practiced the harrier skill, and after Du Feng checked that it was correct, he began to teach the next exercise.

Liuhe Neigong is a combination of movement and static, moving the body, and stillness is the mind. It's mainly about the coordination of movement, breathing, and mind. If there is no one to teach these things, it is absolutely easy to make mistakes just by reading books and practicing them by yourself, because the most important breathing method is not guided, but it is easy to practice problems, such as improper breathing and causing qi to diverge.

After a series of six exercises were taught, and the test basically met the requirements, Du Feng told him the song recipe of his internal exercises, so that he could memorize it. Every martial arts, internal skills, has his song recipe, which is like a kind of artistic conception transmission and practice points of the kung fu, telling you what kind of meaning this kung fu is, what kind of practice requirements.

For example, the four sentences of Yun Longgong's songs: Longli sea and air are as quiet as clouds, swallow clouds and spit out fog with both palms, grasp clouds and mist and swallow yin darkly, and swallow three invisible qi all over the body. If you combine the movements you have learned, you will be able to understand the meaning of this song.

Lift both hands to the ribs, palms up, slowly stretch out, palms down, bend forward, knees straight, slowly exhale, then raise your head and straighten up, fists into fists to the breast, inhale full of breath, hold your breath instantly, swallow three breaths into the lower dantian, and finally push and exhale before the fist becomes the palm.

This is Yunlong Gong.

By the time I was done, it was already past eight o'clock in the morning. Du Feng told him that he wanted him to practice more first, which is a compulsory course every day, and after practice, he could go to the gym and do some ligament stretching exercises, and at the same time explained that he needed to practice slowly and gradually, not to rush. After a few days, I will teach him the Hongquan of the Qingcheng faction.

Since then, Equestrian has been getting up at 3 o'clock in the morning every day. Began to practice Liuhe Nei Gong for more than an hour. Then go to the top of the mountain to collect air and exhale. At five o'clock in the evening, he practiced Liuhe Neigong for another hour, which was completely in accordance with the schedule of ancient practice. In the free time, because I haven't learned any martial arts moves yet, I either do the basic practice of martial arts, or go to the library to borrow books to read.

He felt that there were so many things to learn, and there were also many things to practice. There is a lot of truth to that. A martial arts master can teach you the ropes of practicing, but if you don't practice and just know, it's not useful at all.

Fortunately, he has now passed the "500 Questions on Martial Arts", and he has already understood the basic things, which contains a lot of guidance on self-cultivation of martial arts, and many things do not need to ask Du Feng why and how to do it at any time, and he himself basically understands what is going on.

Now is the time to lay the groundwork, for him. Now the basis is on the flexibility of the body, strength. Basic exercises such as endurance, because I have studied in the gym club before, so I still have some understanding of these basic exercises.

In the past few days, he has also come into contact with some people in the gym, and gradually learned that there are still a few people like him who make money to learn martial arts, some are curious, some are because of physical reasons, some are big and some are small, and of course there are old ones, but there are very few, mainly for self-cultivation. They are all wealthy families, and the younger ones come here to practice for two months during the summer vacation, and then go home. It's the same as hiring a private tutor.

Because of his ability to see inwardly, after a few days of practice, he soon had a preliminary understanding and control of Liuhe's internal strength. This internal exercise, to put it simply, is like exercising the internal organs through breathing and movement, and the function of the mind is to guide the practice of the qi of the whole body.

The qi here is different from the qi that runs in the meridians. The qi practiced here is the qi of the whole body, not in the meridians, but the acquired qi, qi and blood are one, mutual incarnation and mutual growth, so the sun "qi is the invisible blood, and the blood is the tangible qi." "Of course, the relationship with the qi in the meridians is complementary. Qi is like oxygen in the blood and moisture in the body. Through qi, it nourishes and strengthens the body. This qi, when it is finally completed, will also be partially subsumed into the meridians, adding power to your pulses.

When he looked inward, he could clearly see that when he breathed, the internal organs seemed to be being beaten and stretched by qi. Of course, it is not the kind of barbaric tempering, but the gradual tempering. It's like kneading dough, it's dirty. The function of qi is to nourish while practicing, and at the same time regulate qi and blood, so as not to practice and get injured.

After the exercise, there will be a feeling of refreshment throughout the body, as if the whole body has been rubbed.

A few days later, Du Feng began to teach him Hongquan. When it comes to Hongquan, many people may not know much about it, but they only know that its boxing is fierce and opens and closes. I know some of the more famous practitioners, such as Hong Xiguan, Liang Kun, Huang Feihong, etc. As for the founders, I don't know. In fact, the founder of Hongquan is a very famous figure in Taoism, Ge Hong. Da Hong Boxing is also a whip boxing. It is a combination of internal and external boxing. Later, with the evolution of history, new changes were added.

What Du Feng taught him was Lao Hongquan, which was made up of five shapes: dragon, snake, tiger, leopard, and crane. There are not many moves, while teaching, I corrected his movements, explained the characteristics of moves, attacks and practice methods, and explained a form every day, almost a week, before I finished teaching Hongquan.

There is also the mixed element pile method, although it is similar to what he taught himself before, but there is a deep truth in it, if Du Feng doesn't talk about it, he won't understand, it turns out that there is a difference between a live pile and a dead pile, and the standing pile is not a station, and it is still necessary to stand alive. The dead pile is completely supported by the muscles of the thighs, while the live pile needs to cooperate with breathing, the use of strength, and the guidance of the mind to stand well.

Standing piles is also for the purpose of rectification, which is also called pulling out the bones, simply put, it is to integrate the strength of the muscles and bones of the whole body.

There are tricks to walking, sitting, and lying down. In the past, others said that practicing martial arts was hard, thinking that it was just physically hard, but when I really practiced, I realized that the body was fine, mainly in the spirit, and there were too many things to pay attention to and exercise, which all need to be put on it. If you don't have perseverance, no perseverance, and a bad foundation, you really can't practice anything.

It's really a little out of this line, and I don't know the depth of this line. I used to watch people practice martial arts, but in fact, it was like that, those movements, I felt nothing, and the fight seemed like an empty shelf. But through Du Feng's explanation, he understood. When practicing boxing, the strength of the fist is contained but not released, and the muscles and bones are trained while practicing. Usually it doesn't seem to have much power, but only when it's really real and fighting, will it exert its strength and beat the power out.

Du Feng also emphasized breathing adjustment, using a very simple analogy, if ordinary people punch a few quickly, they will feel panting, so that their strength will not be able to keep up. So there is a special emphasis on breathing, internal strength. When practicing martial arts, you must keep your breathing smooth and not panting. We must pay attention to the unity and coordination of hands, eyes, body methods, steps, mental strength, and gong, and only by practicing in this way can we make rapid progress.

So far, Ma Guocai has one more thing to exercise every day, Hong Boxing. When I first started practicing boxing, I didn't practice fast, but carefully paid attention to every move and every momentum, experienced the use of strength, and understood where the strength was emitted after each move was issued. (To be continued......)
