Five-axis linkage is the direction of the development of CNC machine tools. Five-axis linkage is to add the rotation of the tool to the three-coordinate machine tool, so that it can be processed with polyhedral and curved parts. Curved surface parts are widely used in electric power, ships, aerospace, molds and other fields, and the processing of such parts has always been a difficult point in machinery manufacturing. A machine tool that can process such parts is undoubtedly very important.
In addition, the application of five-axis linkage technology can also increase milling on the basis of the original CNC lathe, making it a turning and milling compound machining center, so that a machine tool becomes two, which can not only save space, but also save the turnover and transportation time of the workpiece between different manufacturing units, and improve the processing efficiency.
At present, many foreign machine tool companies are eliminating traditional CNC lathes and vigorously developing turning and milling compound machining centers. As a company focusing on lathes, Qinji also felt the pressure, but because of the limited conditions, it was unable to carry out research in this area, and Zhao Zhaoxin, Xia Min and others were also quite anxious.
