755.Brother Li's Ambition (I)
After getting off the plane, Zhou Fangyuan soon saw Brother Xiao Li.
"Haha, Xiaoyuan!"
Brother Xiao Li laughed loudly, hugged Zhou Fangyuan when he came over, and patted him the back a few times to show his enthusiasm.
Zhou Fangyuan also patted the other party's back enthusiastically.
"It's been a long time, Brother Li, how is it, how are you doing?"
"Hey, I don't know yet, that's it, it's you, you've been so great in the past two years, you got up all of a sudden without making a sound, and my old man told me more than once that he wanted me to learn from you. ”
Brother Li said happily.
It's not that he's talking about it, it's not necessary yet.
The main reason is that he thinks that Zhou Fangyuan can be regarded as his own discovery, even if he only discovers part of it, it has his own credit. No matter how successful Zhou Fangyuan is in the future, if he can remember himself, then he has face. On the other hand, he felt as if he had been forgotten, particularly faceless, and his face was not good-looking. Zhou Fangyuan's rejection of him before made her a little unhappy, but he didn't say anything. I think back then, when Zhou Fangyuan was just beginning to develop, he wanted to buy Blizzard games, and it wasn't Brother Xiao Li who came forward to take the lion's share? Later, he sold the remaining shares of Blizzard to him at a fairly cheap price, so to speak, in the process of Zhou Fangyuan's rise, Brother Xiao Li played a role in making peace with Lengda, but now it is difficult for the two to meet. I haven't seen each other for a long time, and everyone has become angry.
But fortunately, Zhou Fangyuan's current performance made him relaxed.
"Brother Li, which manor do you want to buy? You didn't tell you when I asked you before, but now you can say it. ”
"Hey, Xiaoyuan, hey, actually, our plan has changed......"
A few minutes later, Zhou Fangyuan let out a low sigh.
"You want to buy five big villages? Brother Li, you're not crazy, are you? ”
"Of course I'm not crazy, in fact, I was going to buy a random winery from the beginning, don't you want to participate in it? With you, I am sure to buy the five major wineries. ”
Brother Xiao Li had an expression of confidence in his chest.
According to him, he still knows a lot about the five major villages.
"I'll give you a brief ...... first",
Next, Brother Xiao Li told him about the situation of the five major villages.
In the French wine circle, there are not many estates that are truly world-renowned, and they should be collectively called the first class Bordeaux chteautes in France.
The Bordeaux Premier Winery is located in Bordeaux, southwest of France, which is the wine center of the world. The first vineyards are: Lafite, Latour, Margaux, Rouge and Mouton.
In 1855, the classification system of Bordeaux wine in France was regarded as the bible of wine in the minds of many people, and many wine lovers took him as a reference to the understanding of Bordeaux wineries, and I wonder if people always have to line up a large category of products in their hearts, and the classification system has been produced since 1663, but it has not yet been officially released. This classification is used to determine the quality and price of the wines, based on the four top Bordeaux estates of the time: Margaux, Latour, Aubien and Lafite.
In 1855, France was under the reign of Napoleon III.
King III wanted to take advantage of the Paris World's Fair as an opportunity to promote Bordeaux's wines to the world, and he wanted the wines of the whole country to participate in the exhibition. He asked the Bordeaux Wine Chamber to prepare an exhibition to introduce Bordeaux wines and classify Bordeaux wineries. It's like poking a hornet's nest, because all the wineries are self-righteous, and there can only be one winner. So the Bordeaux Chamber of Commerce entrusted the blame to the Syndicat of Courtiers, an official organization of wine wholesalers, who had divided all their estates into five levels, including each Girond's wine producer.
Two weeks later, the Syndicat of Courtiers came up with their classifications, which included 58 wineries, 4 first class, 12 second class, 14 third class, 11 fourth class and 17 fifth wineries. The first class of the vineyards are: Lafite, Latour, Margaux, and Rouge Smile. Almost all of the Rank Cru is from the Médoc, with the exception of the Red Face, which comes from the Graff appellation. The fact that the other appellations are not included, and that all the selected châteaux are concentrated in the Left Bank of Bordeaux, and that Châteaux Cheval, which was already famous in the 18th century on the right bank, is not included, which has to be shown to be very limited in this classification system.
Within this classification system, there is also a priority for wineries of the same level, for example, Mouton is the first place in the second class of wineries. But this approach has drawn a lot of criticism. In September 1855, the Syndicat of Courtiers sent a letter to the Bordeaux Wine Chamber explaining that there was no precedence within the same rank, and the Chamber revised the list to put it down in alphabetical order within the Unified Domaine.
Since 1855, there have been many changes in the name of the winery, the owner, the vineyard and even the quality of the wine. There are now 61 wineries in the estate. Of course, even if the winery changes its name, if it is historically a Graded Vineyard, it will still maintain its status as a Prestige Vineyard. The only change was in 1973, when Baron Philippe was upgraded from a second class to a first class. It has also formed the "five famous villages" that are now known to the world.
Although the red wine is divided into the old and new worlds, and the wineries are also divided into various grades, and there are countless evaluations of various sizes, but in the final analysis, it is the five major wineries that are the most famous.
Château Lafite, along with the neighbouring Château Mouton, is one of the estates of the richest and most powerful Rothschild family in the world. The Rothschilds are a prestigious financial family in Europe and even in the world. It originated in the early 19th century by Meyer Brown. A. Bauer. He and his five sons, known as the "Roche Five Tigers", have opened banks in Frankfurt, London, Paris, Vienna, Naples and other famous European cities. The largest financial kingdom in the world at that time was established. In their heyday, their power to turn the clouds and rain made the princes and nobles of Europe bow down. To this day, they control the world's major gold markets.
By the end of the 18th century, Château Lafite had established itself.
U.S. President Thomas Jefferson once visited Château Lafite and became a lifelong customer. With the advent of the horrors of the French Revolution, on 30 June 1794, the Ségur family ended their ownership of Château Lafite, which was bought by a Dutch consortium in 1797.
In the first half of the 19th century, Château Lafite was taken under the control of the Vanlerberghe family and further enhanced its quality, including the great 1795, 1798, and 1818 vintages.
On August 8, 1868, Baron James Mayer Rothschild bought Château Lafite for 4.4 million francs and renamed Château Lafite Rothschild. However, Baron James died three months after buying the winery, so the winery was inherited by his three sons. The relationship between the grape pest and the two world wars in the 20th century was like a cycle of success and disaster. During the Second World War, Château Lafite was occupied by the Germans, and its cellars were heavily plundered. Today, however, Château Lafite has largely recovered and is still one of the most famous wineries in the world.
In the case of Château Latour, the château is located at the mouth of the Crème de la Cité in Bordeaux. Originally built by the English in the 15th century to protect against pirates, this castle became a battleground during the Hundred Years' War.
The Château de Latour was opened up as a vineyard in the 16th century. In 1670, Louis XIV of France bought the "Château Latour", and in 1677, due to marriage, the garden fell into the hands of the Cossell family. It was not until 1695 that Marigosso married the Duke of Alexandria, the heir to the "Lafite estate" at the time, that the Gösso family took the "Latour estate" as a dowry, and Latour became the property of the Siegel family.
However, with the fall of the Siegel family, the "Latour Estate" and the "Latour Estate" were inherited by the eldest daughter and her son, and later his son handed over the "Latour Estate" to the three wives and sisters, and the "Latour Estate" and the "Latour Estate" were officially separated.
At the time of the French Revolution, the Count of Cabanna of the Siegel family still owned a quarter of the property rights of the "Latour Estate", but because the count was in exile abroad, the revolutionary government bought up the fourth of the property rights, and after several changes, the fourth property rights were purchased by the Baowang family. In order to avoid the manor being divided, the Baowang family established a legal person in accordance with the law, so that the "Latour Manor" would not be divided due to inheritance issues.
In this way, the "Latour Estate" was owned by three major families, Rodiron, Cole and Baowang.
It was not until 1963 that the Bowlust family sold 79 percent of Latour's shares to the British group of Piason Harvey. Twenty-six years later, in 1989, the Pleiades Alliance, which had become the proprietor of the Harvey Group, bought back the shares of Latour in the hands of the British Piason Group. In 1993, French Pino, the owner of the French department store Juzi "Spring" department store, bought the main control of the "Latour Estate", and the current owner of the "Latour Estate" is this French Pinot Monast.
Château Margaux has a long history, dating back to the 12th century, but it was not until the 16th century that the Lestonnac family arrived and Pierre de Lestonnac converted some of his farmland to vines in the 1570s. In the 18th century, the Château Margaux consisted of 265 hectares of vineyards, as well as 78 hectares of vineyards.
In the 18th century, Margaux, like most of the Médoc wineries, had a very dark period. But thanks to Berlon's management, Château Margaux has undergone tremendous changes. Berlon revolutionized winemaking, such as picking grapes early in the morning to avoid being covered with dew, and recognizing the importance of the soil. By the 19th century, Château Margaux was already well known. U.S. President Thomas Jefferson placed it first in his individual category. This was confirmed by the classification drawn up by Napoleon in 1855.
In the 1970s, after a series of problems with low-quality wines, the owners of the wineries were forced to sell it in the 50s of the 19th century. The successful buyer who took over afterwards was the French groceries consortium led by Greek André Mentzelopoulos. He transformed it into a successful investment in winemaking, and when he passed away in the eighties of the 19th century, Château Margaux returned to the ranks of top châteaux. In the early 90s of the 19th century, part of the shares of Château Margaux were negotiated and exchanged to the Agnelli family in Italy, but the management remained in the hands of Corinne, the daughter of André Mentzelopoulos, until 2003, when she bought back the shares and became the sole shareholder of Château Margaux.
The story of Château d'Aubion is a story of romance and beauty from the day it was born. In 1525, the mayor of Libourne married his daughter to a wealthy nobleman and gave it to his daughter as a dowry, and it was not long before the Château d'Obien was built. In 1935, the estate was sold to the American financier Clarence Dillon, whose granddaughter Joan Dillon married the Prince of Luxembourg, and the estate became a dowry with his daughter. Although she later remarried, her son Robert, who was with her ex-husband, inherited the princely position and became the head of the winery. The large château stands elegantly and quietly between the green vineyards of Bordeaux.
Aubienne was the first of the best wineries in the Bordeaux region. In the 17th century, Aubian was also the first to start making Bordeaux red wines with a stronger flavor and more durability, and before that, Bordeaux business trips were all light red wines like rosé red, and rarely could be stored for more than one year. In 1666, the young owner of Château d'Orbien opened a tavern "Puntac" in London, which successfully introduced the new taste of Obien to the upper class of London, and "New Bordeaux" also began to become popular, followed by Margaux, Latour and Lafite. Before the 19th century, Aubienne was the most famous Château in Bordeaux for more than a century.
As for Château Mouton, the 1855 Bordeaux wine classification in France was a classification for the wine market, but the only one with a high price point that was excluded from the Premier list was Château Mouton, which was called a "terrible inequality" by the owners at the time, because its vineyards were recently bought by the British and no longer owned by the French. Baron Natanio was not convinced, so he wrote the words "I can't be in the first level, I don't want to be in the second level, I am me, Mouton", which has been passed down for a hundred years.
The owners of Mouton have not given up on this, insisting on the price of a first-class winery, and trying to make Mouton a first-class winery from a second-class winery. This was an almost impossible task at the time, since the conditions for the promotion of the Château were subject to the unanimous approval of the owners of the 53 Châteaux in the 1855 classification, in addition to the elaborate procedures of the French authorities. However, thanks to the insistence of the owners of Château Mouton, almost all of them agreed, with the only opponent being his cousin, the owner of Château Lafite at the time. However, in 1973, Lafite agreed to upgrade it to a Premier Cru by the then Minister of Agriculture, Jacques Chirac. Baron Philippe, who was in charge of Mouton at the time, changed his grandfather's words to "I am, I am, I was, I was, Mouton has never changed", and it became a good story.
Of the five Premier Wineries, only Mouton is open to visitors all year round, allowing visitors to learn about every detail from the planting of the grapes to the bottling of the wine, as well as a tasting of a range of reds, whites and spirits. Stepping into the characteristic building in person is like entering the palace to visit the famous nobles, if you are familiar with Maotong wine, it feels like visiting an old friend.
