Chapter 16: The Kitchen and the Room of Request (Part II)

The whole hut suddenly began to shake violently......

The table in front of him vanished, along with Jon's unfinished breakfast.

It took half a minute for the shaking to stop, and Jon almost thought it was an earthquake.

However, neither the expected nuclear bomb silos nor nuclear missiles appeared...... In fact, after a violent tremor, the whole hut was empty, and nothing happened!

This disappointed Jon a bit.

It seems that the Room of Requirement should do its best, but it doesn't have the ability!

"Let's change to a lower level...... Jon cleared his throat, "Then a MLRS that can cover the whole of Hogwarts (including the Forbidden Forest) in 30 seconds, either Guardian or Tornado!"

The violent tremors were there again, just as Jon nearly fell to the ground, but a pillar suddenly appeared in front of him, allowing him to hold on and keep his balance.

There is the performance of the Bing House, and that's it.

The expected rocket launcher still hasn't appeared!

"I'm Cao, can't this work......"

"Then change to a lower level...... A Type 59 main battle tank!"

"Still can't you?"

"Type 35 grenade launcher of 87mm...... It's not that hard......"

"Change again...... AK-47 assault rifle?"

"The Type 92 semi-automatic pistol?"

"A bayonet?"

......

"Damn, you can't even make a bayonet?" Jon couldn't sit still.

At first, he thought it was a request for a while, but he didn't react for a while, and deliberately repeated "a bayonet" several times...... The result was the same as before, and after the violent shaking, the whole room was empty.

"You deserve to be called responsive?" Jon glanced helplessly at the wall beside him, "I can't even turn a bayonet and a pistol!"

Suddenly, there were several unpleasant cries from the walls...... A bit like a cry, to be exact.

Then, a table appeared in front of Jon, on which a bottle of Scotch whisky and a wine glass appeared out of thin air...... The bottle poured a full glass of ale into the glass, and the glass flew to Jon.

"I'm Cao, this house is fine!" Jon couldn't help blinking his eyelids after taking the glass of wine: "It's still sad and repentant...... Didn't you say that after 1949 it was forbidden to make fine codes?"

Just as he thought about it, Jon realized something!

Hogwarts was built in 993 AD, or 999 A.D., and if nothing else, the Room for Requirement should have been built around that time!

"Give me a set of Crusader armor and a Tang sword!" he said with a serious face.

This time, the Room of Request gave an accurate response.

A bulky suit of armor, as well as a long sharp knife...... Almost instantly, he appeared in front of Jon.

The armor was so heavy that Jon struggled to lift it, and though it certainly couldn't stop the bullets, ordinary arrows might not be able to pierce it, and the long knives were also extremely sharp, with the hilt engraved with the four Chinese characters "Tianbao Five Years".

Tossing aside the armor and the Tang knife, Jon knew he had guessed correctly.

The Room of Requirement was built almost at the same time as Hogwarts, and its creator was probably one or more of the four founders of Hogwarts. Like the Sorting Hat, powerful magic gives the Room a certain amount of wisdom, but the range of its wisdom and abilities is consistent with that of its founder......

So, anything that was ahead of its time, even a bayonet with a very simple structure, could not be provided by the Room of Request!

Jon used another method to verify this.

He asked Bing Answer House for a few books on "Defense Against the Dark Arts", and immediately the books appeared: "Curses and Anti-Curses", "Common Dark Arts and Their Defense Compendium", "Encyclopedia of Self-Protection Magic", ...... A careful examination of the publication dates of these books shows that they were all published before the 9th and 10th centuries AD.

It seems that these Defence Against the Dark Arts books don't make much sense...... Jon tossed them aside. I don't know how many generations of magic developed a thousand years ago, and it must be very different from now...... Lack of effectiveness, blind learning will definitely take many detours.

With a wave of his hand, the armor, the Tang sword, and the books were gone.

Instead, there was a row of speculums and secret detectors, as well as a large demon mirror...... A large number of Dark Arts Defense devices, though not necessarily effective.

There are also huge silk cushions, as well as several movable dummies.

Raising his wand, he began to practice the petrification spell here......

The only offensive spell that I can use at this stage, although the lethality is not high, I have to practice more proficiently...... In this way, when encountering the enemy, you can have a certain ability to resist.

......

By the time I left the Room of Requirement, it was already eight o'clock.

Morning classes at Hogwarts are half-past eight, and the first class after school starts is Professor Minerva-McGonagall's Transfiguration class, with Hufflepuff and Gryffindor taking it together.

The Transfiguration class was on the seventh floor of Hogwarts Castle, and it only took a few minutes for Jon to arrive there.

The door to the classroom was opened, and it was empty, and it appeared that the first-year Gryffindor and Hufflepuff freshmen were still having breakfast in the cafeteria......

Except for the podium, there was a spotted cat standing.

Jon didn't dare to slack off, and walked to the podium respectfully, and bowed deeply to the cat:

"Professor McGonagall. ”

The spotted cat glanced at Jon and nodded, but didn't take on a human form.

Jon found a front-row seat and opened his copy of Emory Swich's Guide to Transfiguration.

While aimlessly flipping through (the contents of the book had long been memorized by him from beginning to end), he observed the spotted cat on the podium out of the corner of his eye.

Animagus is indeed a powerful magic, and Professor McGonagall has become this spotted cat, not only in the form of a cat, but even in the same physical habits as a cat, so to speak, she already has some of the animal instincts of a cat.

But this magic, to Jon, seemed to mean much.

After all, the transformation of Animagus is limited to non-magical creatures, and the transformation of magical creatures (such as phoenixes, fire dragons, hippogriffs, etc.) will have unpredictable consequences...... Therefore, turning into an animal will not only not make your combat power gain any improvement, but will turn you from a wizard who can biubiubiu to an ordinary animal that can only use claws and teeth.

What's more, normal Transfiguration can also turn wizards into animals for a short period of time, which isn't as effective as Animagus, but it seems to be enough if you only need to turn into an animal...... And there are many kinds of animals, and they are not confined to one animal like the Animagus.

Not to mention that it takes several years to develop Animagus, and after spending a few years, there is still a great chance of failure, and there is still a great danger. There were only seven Animagus registered throughout the 20th century, and it is estimated that there were only about 20 unregistered. It can be said that it is a very difficult magic for ordinary wizards.

To put it simply, the effort is not proportional to the benefit......
