Chapter 15: The Kitchen and the Room of Request (Part I)
At 6 a.m. the next morning, Jon Hart woke up from his sleep.
Getting up and looking around, he was now in the Hufflepuff boys' dormitory.
Hufflepuff dormitories are in the form of single rooms, with each person having their own cubicle...... While each cubicle looks cramped from the outside, the space inside is surprisingly spacious.
The suitcase had been brought in, and a glass cage containing two South African spider spiders had been placed on the windowsill.
Jon walked over, took a few dead bread worms from the small box next to the cage, and threw them into the glass cage...... He doesn't really care about the health of these two spider "pets", as long as they can last until around Halloween!
After a brief wash and a quick Hogwarts robe, he made his way to the Hufflepuff common room.
It was empty now, after all, it was about a quarter past six in the morning. Warm sunlight shone through the windows on the herbarium specimens placed in the common room, which were placed here by Professor Sprout, the head of Hufflepuff!
Jon had no intention of staying in the common room, and he walked through the circular underground tunnel, out of the barrel, and back to the basement hallway of Hogwarts.
Hogwarts rules prohibit wandering around the school at night...... Jon also doesn't have a big killer weapon like an invisibility cloak or a living point map, so he can calmly explore the school at night.
But that didn't stop him from getting up at six o'clock in the morning to wander around the same quiet campus, which didn't break the school rules and the lights were a little brighter.
Jon's first stop, choosing the ...... next door to the Hufflepuff common room Kitchen.
He wanted to have breakfast first, but at this point, the restaurant must not be open.
"Yesterday Gabriel said that the kitchen is in this hallway......"
Jon muttered to himself as he looked around.
Soon, he found a portrait of a silver bowl full of fruit.
Jon held out a finger and gently scratched the large green pear, which squirmed and laughed, and suddenly turned into a large green doorknob.
Passing through the door, you are greeted by a room almost the size of the dining room, surrounded by a stone wall lined with glittering copper pots and basins, and a large brick fireplace at the other end of the room.
"Sir...... Hello...... Sir...... "A little thing sprang towards him, "What do you have to say?"
An ugly "little monster", a house-elf...... It has two large bat-like ears and a pair of prominent green eyes the size of a tennis ball. Even with a certain amount of mental preparation, Jon was almost taken aback.
"Hello!" Jon adjusted his mood slightly, then held out a hand to the house-elf, "I'm Jon Hart, a Hufflepuff student, can I come here and ask you for breakfast?"
"Hufflepuff!" the house-elf suddenly screamed, "Welcome...... Very welcome...... My pleasure ......"
Screaming, it gripped Jon's two fingers in fear as its two hands gripped it.
Immediately, six house-elves hurried up from behind him, carrying a large silver tray with a large glass of milk, a cup, and a large plate of biscuits.
"Thank you, thank you very much...... It's not that practical!" Jon said, "By the way, I don't know your name yet." ”
"My name is Klein, sir......" The house-elf said, wiping tears from his eyes, "It's an honor to serve the Hufflepuff students!"
More and more house-elves gathered around, shoving bread, brioche cakes, and pies into Jon's hands.
"Enough, enough, not so much!" Jon said, turning his gaze back to Klein, "Wait, why are you emphasizing Hufflepuff?"
"A thousand years ago, life was miserable for our house-elves...... Lady Helga-Hufflepuff brought our ancestors to work in the Hogwarts kitchens, making sure we had jobs to do and weren't mistreated, so that we could live better than the house-elves everywhere else......" Klein said with a choked up.
"Protecting Hufflepuff is the mission of every Hogwarts house-elf......"
......
Ten minutes later, Jon left the kitchen with a bag full of food in his robes under the watchful eye of more than a hundred house-elves.
It seems that I made a good choice for Hufflepuff, at least I will be able to eat and drink enough in school in the future!
And he seemed to understand why there wasn't any magic in the Hufflepuff common room to repel sneakers, and the Hufflepuff common room and dorms hadn't been broken into by strangers for almost a thousand years...... Because the house-elves are constantly watching the entrance to the Hufflepuff common room, any trespassers will be chased away!
He hadn't gone back to the Hufflepuff common room, nor was he in a hurry to get to class, it was only half past six...... Walk towards the castle upstairs.
The stairs at Hogwarts are complicated, but fortunately you can ask the portraits for directions, and most of them are happy to show him the way...... Rounding the staircase, Jon climbed all the way to the eighth floor of the castle.
It took him more than ten minutes to find the wall on the eighth floor of Hogwarts Castle opposite the tapestry where the troll stick beat Silly Barnabas.
He walked back and forth along the wall three times, and a polished door appeared on the wall!
The door to the Room of Requirement appeared in front of Jon...... Reaching out and turning the brass handle, he pushed the door open.
A dining table appeared in the room, on which a full set of cutlery was arranged.
"Wow, that's amazing!" Jon pulled out the biscuits, cakes, and bread stuffed into his robe and put it on his plate, then picked up the cutlery and began to enjoy his breakfast.
"Maybe I should test what the Room of Requirement has to offer?" Jon thought to himself.
Let's zoom out a little bit from the widest range......
Jon stood up.
"I need a strategic missile silo and an intercontinental strategic missile with a nuclear warhead!" he said silently in his heart: "You don't need to be too powerful, you can make do with the Dongfeng 5, Topol M or Minuteman 3 models!"
