Chapter 90: The First Quidditch Match
Despite what Evan said, Hermione's face was still as gloomy as the dim sky outside, and she couldn't believe that Professor Lupin was actually a werewolf, the news was simply shocking!
"I mean, you two, is there something you're hiding from us?" Ron looked at Evan and Hermione suspiciously.
Hearing his words, Harry and Colin nodded in agreement.
Evan and Hermione looked at each other awkwardly, Hermione wasn't sure if she should tell the news that Professor Lupin was a werewolf, since both Dumbledore and Evan believed him, she should keep it a secret for him. What's more, Professor Lupin is a very friendly person, and he doesn't resemble the legendary murderous werewolf at all.
Hermione quietly kicked Evan under the table, motioning for him to answer Ron's question.
Before Evan could think of what to say, he saw Oliver Wood come over with an angry face, and the rest of the Gryffindor Quidditch team gathered over.
"Bad news, we don't play Slytherin tomorrow!" he said angrily, "Professor McGonagall just told me that our opponent tomorrow is Hufflepuff. ”
"Why?" the rest of the team asked in unison.
"Slytherin's excuse was that their Seeker's injured arm wasn't healed yet. "But they did it for the obvious reason they were doing it, they didn't want to play in this weather, thinking it would ruin their chances."
Hogwarts has been stormy for the last few days, and as Wood speaks, thunder can be heard outside the castle.
"Slytherin Seekers?" said Angelina, surprised.
"It's Draco Malfoy, his arm was injured in the first week of school by Hagrid's Hippogriff, the Hippogriff Buckbeak!" Ron whispered, "but it was all that guy's doing, and if I were Buckbeak, I'd give him a hard slap on the head." ”
"There's nothing wrong with Malfoy's arm!" Harry said angrily, "He's pretending!"
"I understand, but we can't prove it. Wood said bitterly, "They used this as an excuse to go to Professor Snape."
"I knew it was him!" Harry and Ron shouted in disgust.
'The problem now is that we've been practising with Slytherin and tomorrow we're playing against Hufflepuff and they're quite different. To add insult to injury, they have a new captain and Seeker Cedric Diggory this year. ”
As soon as he finished speaking, Angelina, Arya, and Katie suddenly smirked.
"What are you laughing at?" said Wood, curious, unimpressed by this carefree behavior.
"You mean that tall, pretty-looking boy?" said Angelina.
"The strong, little-spoken one. Katie added, "It's fascinating indeed. ”
They started giggling again, and Wood and Fred looked unhappy.
"He doesn't talk much because he's so stupid that he can't say two words at the same time. Fred said impatiently, "Oliver, I don't understand why you're worried, the Hufflepuffs are easy opponents to beat. The last time we played them, it only took Harry five minutes to catch the Golden Snitch, remember?"
"We're playing in completely different situations!" Wood exclaimed, his eyes protruding slightly, "Diggory has a strong squad and he's a great Seeker! I'm just worried that you're going to think that, we can't afford to underestimate the enemy! We've got to get the main thing going, Slytherin wants to see us make a mistake, we have to win this year!"
Wood's voice was so loud that most of the auditorium turned their heads curiously to look at it.
"Oliver, don't get angry. Fred was a little alarmed and said, "We're going to take the Hufflepuffs seriously, we're serious!"
"All the training, at three o'clock this afternoon, all the players gathered at the Quidditch pitch and we had to come up with a strategy. ”
No one spoke, and everyone nodded palely.
Following their gaze, Evan saw a raging storm outside the window, and silently prayed for these guys in his heart.
Evan could understand Wood's feelings, this was his last year at Hogwarts, and he was going to win the Quidditch Cup anyway. Since Harry joined the team, the Quidditch team at Gen Ranffindor has been the strongest in the school, but in the last two years, they have been plagued by various accidents and ended up missing out on the Quidditch Cup.
To be more precise, it was Harry who had been having accidents, who told him that in addition to being a great Seeker, he also worked as a savior, and if it was because of him that Gryffindor didn't win the Quidditch Cup this year, Wood would have been able to kill Harry without Voldemort's move.
That's right, kill him by looking at him!
The sudden training camp lasted until seven o'clock in the evening, and as soon as Evan persuaded Hermione not to tell the story that Professor Lupin was a werewolf, he saw several of them crawling into the common room soaking wet, everyone looked tired, and after saying a few words, they went back to the house to clean up and go to bed.
The next morning, at about five o'clock, Aven woke up, awakened by the sound of the wind howling outside the castle, and he could hear the rumbling thunder in mid-air, the sound of the wind crashing against the castle walls, and the sound of trees breaking in the Forbidden Forest in the distance.
He walked out of the bedroom sleepily and saw Harry already dressed, sitting quietly in front of the common room fireplace with his Light Wheel 2000.
There was no fire in the fireplace, and the whole common room was gloomy.
"Morning, Harry!" Evan walked over with a huff, "When did you get up?"
"Good morning, Aven!" replied Harry, worriedly, "about three o'clock, I was woken up by Peeves, who kept blowing wind on my neck. ”
"And you've been sitting here?!"
"yes, I found out that Crookshank Hill wanted to sneak into our dorm, and I sat here to keep it from getting close to the boys' dorm, and Blob needed to rest. ”
"But you need to rest too!" said Evan in surprise, "in another three hours, and you'll be flying all day in this weather outside." ”
"I'm not sleepy, Aven, I have a sense of foreboding. Harry waved his hand weakly, "That big black dog, that unknown I saw it in the direction of the Forbidden Forest when I was training last night, and it was watching us train in the woods. ”
"That's just a stray dog!" Evan couldn't understand what Sirius was making a mess of in this kind of ghostly weather.
According to a normal person's thinking, shouldn't he find a place to shelter from the rain and lie down honestly! But judging from the current situation, Blake seems to be abnormal.
"But this is the third time, and I can't see the same stray dog all the time. Harry sighed and said, "You know Black is after me, and I'm scared if that ominous means death."
"There's nothing to worry about a stray dog, I've seen it many times. ”
Harry's words alerted Aven as he suddenly remembered what would happen during this tournament, he looked at the sky outside and added, "Harry, you need to conserve your strength now, if anything, I'm worried about the Dementors."
"Dementors?!" Harry looked up, his face instantly pale.
"yes, those guys aren't too far from the Quidditch pitch, and the cheerful atmosphere on the pitch is delicious food for them, if they come over," Evan paused and continued, "You'll need to get your wand ready, and besides, how are the Patronus charms doing?"
"Not good, not much progress!" Harry shook his head, "I don't seem to have any happy memories to think about. ”
Over the next few hours, Evan accompanied Harry to practice the Patronus Charm a few more times, but no matter how hard he tried, Harry could only release a blurry white mist.
Evan sighed, although this power could not drive away the Dementors, it was stronger than nothing, and it should be able to resist for a while, enough for Harry to land safely.
Besides, Dumbledore was also present during the game, and in front of him, Evan really didn't think that more than a hundred Dementors could do anything.
