Chapter Eighty-Seven: Exile
Vio and Hermione were almost the first to notice that something was wrong??? ? Seeยท?
The tunnels weren't ventilated, but they didn't smell as bad as the junkyards, and, when they were in use, the owner of Duke Honey's confectionery would occasionally open the door in his cellar to change the air in the tunnels.
And now, a strange smell came, disgusting as if it had decayed for hundreds of years, and it soon approached them from a distance.
Vio was shocked, she posted it backwards with "Huo", and then whispered to remind everyone: "Quick, there is something in the tunnel backwards"
But it was too late, and as soon as Vio finished speaking, Hermione, who was sitting closest to the exit at the other end of the tunnel, let out a scream, and then the scream grew farther and farther away, and the sound became weaker and weaker.
"Knox!" Vio and Harry shouted at the same time.
Not to be outdone, Draco lit his wand as well, and Ron had already pounced on Hermione the moment she made a sound, grabbing her, but was still a step too late, grabbing only the corner of her robe and being dragged out.
Several people followed Ron and Hermione all the way through the tunnel, running deeper and deeper, at a corner, Harry who was running in front paused, Vio followed behind and couldn't see the place in front clearly, the wand could only illuminate a small area around, what Harry was standing in front of, Vio didn't know at all.
She anxiously asked Harry what was going on, and Harry hesitated for a moment before starting to run again, and Vio hurriedly followed.
As they ran deeper and deeper into the tunnels, Vio felt more and more strange and didn't quite understand where they were running.
"Harry, where are we going?" Vio tried to keep up with Harry's speed as he tried to say his question clearly, "Can you still see Ron now?"
"That's right, vio, it's another way. Harry said, speaking very quickly. "It seems to have been opened by the guy who came in, and just where I stopped, a hole was suddenly cut into the pit wall, and as I followed, I could only see Ron's leg being dragged in"
Vio covered his forehead, feeling that something was wrong.
"We've strayed from the familiar tunnel, and now this road doesn't lead to Duke Honey's candy store at all, does it?" asked Vio again, with the last hope.
Harry sighed clearly. "That's right. There's no live map, and now I don't know where we're going. โ
Hearing this, Vio glanced back vigilantly, Draco was still following her, very close, he saw Vio looking back at him, and said very dissatisfied: "Santriel, I know I'm good-looking, but you'd better look at the road at this time, I don't want to be tripped by you, you're heavy." โ
Vio gave a fleeting smile, and she knew that Draco was trying to remind her not to worry about him leaving.
Draco would follow, or he would have quit automatically at the beginning.
After understanding this, Vio instantly felt a lot more relaxed.
With Harry in the forefront, Vio suddenly remembered what that suffocating smell of decay deep into the bone marrow had come across it a few times, once at Hogsmeade, when she went to stock with Xiao Luo and Draco at night, and once when she was going to Harry's house during the summer vacation last semester, when she was going to take Sirius back to Santrill Manor.
That aura was the aura of ordinary vampires in the Muggle world who couldn't do magic.
She didn't recognize her immediately, and last time she let the holy vampire Verlinnaeus leave like that.
How would those ordinary vampires know about Hogwarts' underground passages if there was no one to lead them?
Vio frowned deeply.
If this matter has something to do with Linnaeus, and if Hermione has a slight accident, Vio and the vampire will not share the same day.
They followed for a while, and after breaking away from the straight path that had led to Duke Honey, they had been winding and circumventing almost all the way underground, not knowing where the end was.
Hermione and Ron's cries for help were getting weaker and weaker, and it was obvious that they were getting farther and farther away from Vio.
Just when VIO thought he would completely lose them, he suddenly noticed a fluorescent green band of light appeared on the ground.
Harry was the first to notice, and seemed excited, the band of light had led them to the right side before there was a fork in the road.
"That Granger must have done it!" Draco reminded in a low voice behind him. "It's a very useful and simple marker magic, which means she must have gotten her wand. โ
Vio relented, if Hermione got her wand, then the vampires who took her were the ones to worry about!
With such a mentality, the steps of several people became lighter and lighter.
Finally, they made another sharp turn with the fluorescent tape, and suddenly their eyes lit up, and it was an open area underground, with a small ventilation hole on it that allowed people to drill in and out.
The closer they got to the vent, the more they arched upward, and next to the vent, Ron and Hermione were sitting against the wall, gasping for air.
vio They ran over with their wands, and under the light of the three light sources, Ron and Hermione's faces looked very ruddy, they didn't look hurt, and they were in good spirits.
At least Hermione wasn't as scared as Vio expected.
"You're coming!" Hermione exclaimed as soon as she saw them approaching, "I think we've met a vampire!
As she spoke, she stroked her throat again, and there was a stain on the spot that looked like she had been dragged around by the neck by a vampire.
Then Ron gave her a careful look and continued, "Those vampires were pulling Hermione and me by the neck, looking like they were taking us for prey, but when they got here, they disappeared through the vents above!"
Vio, Harry, and Draco realized that it wasn't that simple.
"I didn't expect you guys to be able to keep up with this group of vampires, oh my god, their stamina is so good!" Hermione continued, taking a breath.
"Isn't it the green fluorescent ribbon of the signal you left us that we followed to find here?" asked Harry.
Hermione shook her head in surprise and searched through her pocket for a long time before finding her wand.
"I was almost dragged into shock, and I didn't have time to mark you with my wand. She said.
