Chapter 184: The Buddhas of the Three Worlds

Buddhism has to mention the Buddhas of the three worlds, which is also one of Wang Ming's greatest concerns.

Deng Hong's body Wang Ming was still treating, and these things he had seen also flashed quickly in his mind.

Referring to the three Buddhas, that is, all the Buddhas of the past, present, and future. He also became all the Buddhas, the Buddhas of the Ten Directions, and the Buddhas of the Three Worlds. Generally, the Buddha of the Burning Lamp represents the Buddhas of the past, the Buddha Shakyamuni represents the Buddhas of the present, and the Buddha Maitreya represents the Buddhas of the future.

They are collectively referred to as the Buddhas of the whole universe. That is, the many Buddhas of the past, present, and future. He also became all the Buddhas, the Buddhas of the Ten Directions, and the Buddhas of the Three Worlds. The names and numbers of the names listed in the various sutras vary, such as the first volume of the Chang Aham, the forty-fifth volume of the Thirty-fifth Aham, and the thirty-fourth volume of the Miscellaneous Ahama Sutra, the Maitreya Sutra of the Great Succession of Buddhas, the Maitreya Sutra of the Next Life, etc., which say that the future Maitreya Buddha was born, and the thirty-five Buddhas such as the Buddha Shakyamuni Sutra, the thirty-five Buddhas of the Confessional Text, and the ninety volumes of the Great Treasure Accumulation Sutra list the thirty-five Buddhas such as the Buddha Shakya, the Sutra of the Two Bodhisattvas of the Medicine King Yaoshang, the Sutra of the Bodhisattva of the Void Tibetan Treasure, etc., and the Sutra of Amitayus lists the past 53 Buddhas such as the Buddha of the Rooting Light. The six examples of the Sutra of the Virtuous Tribulation appear in the Thousand Buddhas of the Virtuous Tribulation, the Three Thousand Buddha Sutras list the solemn Tribulation of the Thousand Buddhas in the past, the Thousand Buddhas of the present Virtuous Tribulation, the Thousand Buddhas of the Future Constellation of the Stars, and the 5,500 Buddha Sutras cite the names of the 5,500 Buddhas. The eight volumes of the Xian Tribulation Sutra say that after the appearance of the Thousand Buddhas of the Xian Tribulation, there is a big name of the Tribulation, and there are thousands of Buddhas at that time; After the great name tribulation, there is the Yu Xing Tribulation, when 80,000 Buddhas appeared; After the tribulation of the stars, there was a re-purification tribulation, when 84,000 Buddhas appeared.

According to the Jizang view of Amitayus Sutra, Mahayana believes that in terms of space, there are ten Buddhas; In terms of time, there are three Buddhas who have appeared. However, Hinayana does not advocate the theory of the ten directions, but only talks about the three Buddhas, and it is said that there is only one Buddha in one life.

The Buddhas who appeared in the third lifetime. The Lotus Sutra says: 'The ritual of the Buddhas of the three worlds. The Sutra of Amitayus says: 'The Buddhas of the three worlds are the cause of pure karma. ’

Also known as the Three Buddhas. Refers to the Buddhas who appeared in the past, present, and future lives. Its name, number. The scriptures are not consistent, such as the first volume of the "Chang A Han Sutra" and the forty-fifth volume of the "One Addition A Han Sutra" list the names of the past seven Buddhas; "Maitreya Dacheng Sutra" and "Maitreya Sutra of the Next Life" talk about the birth of Maitreya Buddha in the future; Volume 45 of the "Addition of One Ahama Sutra" says that in the future, Maitreya Buddha, Shizi Ying Buddha, Chengroushun Buddha and other Buddhas will appear; "Decision on the Peni Sutra", "Confession of the Names of the Thirty-five Buddhas" and "The Great Treasure Sutra" Volume 90 "Yubo Leaving the Society", etc., give the names of 35 Buddhas such as Shakya Buddha; "The Sutra of the Two Bodhisattvas of the King of Medicine" and "The Sutra of the Bodhisattva of the Void Collection", etc., the Liepu Light Buddha and other 53 Buddhas in the past; On the volume of the Sutra of Amitayus, there are 53 Buddhas in the past, such as the Buddha of Spindle Light.

In addition, the sixth volume of the "Sutra of Virtuous Tribulation" says that there are now thousands of Buddhas; "Three Thousand Buddha Sutras" lists the solemn robbery of thousands of Buddhas in the past, the present virtuous robbery of thousands of Buddhas, and the future stars of thousands of Buddhas; "5,500 Buddha Names Sutra" produces 5,500 Buddha names; In the eighth volume of the "Sutra of Virtuous Tribulation", there was a great name after the appearance of a thousand Buddhas, and a thousand Buddhas also appeared at that time. After the catastrophe of the great name, there was the catastrophe of Yu Xing, and 80,000 Buddhas appeared, and after the catastrophe of Yu Xing, there was a heavy purification tribulation, and 84,000 Buddhas also appeared at that time.

However, there is a difference between Chinese Buddhism and Tibetan Buddhism in their understanding of the Buddha of the past, and Han Buddhism believes that the Buddha of the past refers to the Buddha of the lamp. Tibetan Buddhism, on the other hand, believes that there were several past Buddhas before the Buddha. The predecessor of the Buddha was the Buddha (and the disciple of the Buddha, the Buddha, the Buddha was not the same person).

The present Buddha is Shakyamuni Buddha, and the future Buddha is Maitreya Buddha.

The Burning Lamp Buddha was Shakyamuni's teacher. Shakyamuni's attainment of Buddhahood was given by him. According to the record of "Rui Ying Ben Qi Jing". When Shakyamuni was a bodhisattva, his name was Confucian Tong. Once, when he saw someone selling blue lotus flowers, he bought five sticks and offered them to the Buddha of the Burning Lamp. Another time, when he went out with the Buddha to preach the Dharma, he encountered mud on the road, so he took off his clothes and laid them on the ground. Ask Master to walk over it. Through these two things, the Buddha of the Burning Lamp had a discerning eye, and he said to the Confucian children: "It is the last ninety-one calamity, the famous and virtuous calamity." Thou shalt be regarded as a Buddha, and thou shalt be called Sakyamuni. In addition, many of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas recorded in the Buddhist scriptures were his disciples.

Regarding the past Buddha, there is also a saying that the Buddha of the Buddha is the Buddha of the past. This Buddha is not Shakyamuni's great disciple Gyalaba, but the sixth of the seven Buddhas of the past. According to the first volume of the Chang Ahama Sutra, he was born at the time of "this virtuous eon" (the present calamity), and he was also the teacher of Shakyamuni in his previous life, and he also predicted that Shakyamuni would become a Buddha in the future.

In the past, the Buddha often formed a group of "three Buddhas" with the Buddha and the Maitreya Buddha, and it was generally enshrined in the Mahavira Hall. He resides on the left side of Shakyamuni Buddha. Its image characteristics are: sitting upright, solemn demeanor, two hands touch with thumbs, make a Dharma seal, sometimes ride a lion, generally not worship alone.

Maitreya Buddha is a Buddha that is widely believed and popular among Chinese people. "Maitreya" is a transliterated abbreviation of the Sanskrit word Maitreya, which means "compassion". It is said that this Buddha always has a compassionate heart. In the Sutra of Amitabha, he explained: "Or Maitreya, this is Ci. From Peter's more cultivation of compassion, more into compassion, so it is said that the mercy of the family, the cultivation of compassion is the best, and the name is invincible. His name was Ayido, or "invincible." According to Buddhist scriptures, Maitreya was born into a Brahmin family in the ancient Indian kingdom of Parana, and was a contemporary of Shakya. Later, he became a disciple of the Buddha with Shakya, and he died before Shakya was destroyed. It is said that Shakyamuni prophesied that after he left this world, he would be reborn in the Tushi Heavenly Palace, where he would preach the Dharma with the heavens, and it would not be until 5.66 billion years after the Buddha's extinction that he was born from the Tushi Heavenly Palace and came to the world. According to the Sutra of Maitreya's Descent, at that time, the world of samsara (i.e., the sentient world in which we live) Yan Futi will have a winged city, and if his king is a good name, Maitreya will be born in the house of a minister named Shubrama in this city, and will be born, become a monk, become enlightened, and speak the Dharma, just like Shakyamuni Buddha. After Maitreya became a Buddha after Shakya, he will speak the Dharma three times under the Longhua tree in Hualin Garden, and the breadth of sentient beings.

The Three Sages of the West are what we often see, the Amitabha Buddha, Guanyin Bodhisattva and the Great Trend Bodhisattva in the Buddha statue, called the Three Sages of the West. Amitabha Buddha is an expression of immeasurable light, immeasurable lifespan, and immeasurable merit. Guanyin Bodhisattva is the expression of great compassion, the great compassion of the universe. The Great Trend to the Bodhisattva is a representative of joy.

The three sages of the West are also known as the three statues of Amitabha, in the middle is Amitabha Buddha, on the left side of Guanyin Bodhisattva, and on the right side of the Great Trend to the Bodhisattva (the left and right sides here are according to the left and right hand sides of Amitabha Buddha) The object of worship of the Pure Land Sect.

The teacher of the Western Elysium to educate all sentient beings is also "Amitabha" in Sanskrit, "immeasurable" in Chinese, because Amida Buddha is immeasurable in light and has an immeasurable lifespan

According to the record of the Sutra of Amitayus, in the world of the Buddha of Freedom in the past eons ago, there was a king who heard the words of the Buddha of Eternity, and his heart was full of joy and joy, and he initiated the true path of enlightenment towards the supreme Bodhi. He gave up his land and donated his throne and became a monk and became a samun, named "Fazang". Respectfully went to the place of the Buddha and asked the Buddha to give teachings, and at that time, the Buddha of the Buddha of the Dharma Tibetan Buddha of the

At that time, the Dharma Tibetan bhikshus heard the Buddha's solemn and pure land, and after witnessing the Buddha's great divine power, they all had the power of the supreme and special wish. At this time, the Dharma Tibetan bhikshu was pure, quiet, and stable, and his mind was free from attachment. After meditating and practicing, I went to the place of the Buddha in my own life and bowed to the Buddha: 'May the World-Honored One not be reluctant to listen to and meditate, if this is the vow I have made, it should be fully expressed today to explain that I have made the forty-eight vows.

After establishing these 48 vows, the Bhikshus devoted themselves to the land of solemnity and victory. The world of Buddhism inspired by his diligent practice is vast and unhindered, transcendent, unique, and wonderful, and the land he has established is eternal, without decay or mutation. In the inconceivable tens of billions of years, he has been eons for a long time, and actively cultivates the immeasurable merits of the Bodhisattva. It never gives rise to greed, hatred, or annoyance to sentient beings. Don't think about greed, hatred, annoyance, and don't touch the outside world. The strength of forbearance is strong in achievement, and he never cares to complain about all his labor. Less desire and contentment, no hatred and foolish thoughts, the mind dwells in samadhi, is always in the stillness of non-action, and all wisdom is unhindered. There is no hypocrisy and flattery, a pleasant face, soft love language, and always take the initiative to show the kindness and love of caring greetings. Courageously and diligently in the aspirations and vows he has made, he has never been slack and tired. Dedicated to the pursuit of pure and pure good dharma, for the benefit of all sentient beings. Honoring the Three Jewels to serve the Master, the Supreme Majesty of one's body and mind, and the attainment of all kinds of merits and good deeds, so that all sentient beings, meritorious and beneficial beings, can be accomplished.

Settle in the three liberation gates of emptiness, non-appearance, and non-wishing, do not pretend to be delusional, observe all the laws in the world as illusory as the eighty-four chapters, and stay away from all vulgar and vulgar words and deeds that harm themselves and others. Practice all the good deeds of softness, love, self-interest, self-benefit, and self-benefit. He renounced his land and throne, abandoned his desire for wealth, practiced the six paramitas himself, and taught others to do the six ten thousand actions. Since the endless calamity, he has accumulated merit. With the place where he was reincarnated, whatever he wishes and wants, the immeasurable treasure trove will naturally manifest itself. To educate and establish countless sentient beings and to dwell on the path of supreme enlightenment and true liberation. Or they may be born as an elderly layman, a wealthy family, or a powerful caste. Or he was reborn as the king of the Kshari kingdom and the holy king of the wheel. Or to be reborn as the Lord of the Six Desires, or even the Great Brahma King. He often pays homage to the Buddhas with food, clothing, bedding, and medicine, and the merits of such a merit are too numerous to be counted. The breath in the mouth is fragrant and clean, like the fragrance of blue lotus. The pores on the body exude the fragrance of sandalwood, and the fragrance it exudes generally permeates the immeasurable world. The appearance and color are flawless, and the body is intact and wonderful. Endless treasures, clothes, food, precious incense, painted treasure covers, ceremonial scepters, flags and other decorative items often naturally arise in the hands. In this way, the merits and merits of all the heavenly people in this world surpass the merits of all the worldly people, and they are at ease in all the Dharma. (To be continued......)
