Induce Aunt Okada's middle two

The new animation "M3~That Black Steel~" tells the story of 8 teenagers and girls driving robots.,With an unknown enemy·" Bondage" to carry out the story of the battle. And while the protagonists encounter various events related to "Restraint", the mysterious fate implied in them is also revealed little by little.

Previously, Tencent Animation has reported on the first half of the interview with Okada Milli (related: "M3 Black Steel" interview (above) Aunt Okada's nature is exposed), and in the second half, we will ask what "horror" means to Okada, the production process of this work, the exchange between Okada and director Junichi Sato, and the direction of future teenagers and girls.

Q: For Ms. Okada, is there any urban legend or horror story that influences her mind?

Okada: In the legend of Orpheus in Greek mythology, Orpheus wanted to bring his deceased wife back from the underworld. And he was told: "Never turn back until you reach the earth". But in the end he turned back. Izanami in Japan is in a similar situation with Izanagimei. In other words, what I think of as "horror" in my heart refers to "when I get to the last moment, I can't do it all at once." I don't know if it's terrifying? Or should I hate myself for not persevering to the end? For some reason, this mindset has been around since I was very young.

Q: I think I can understand your feelings. And in "M3~That Black Steel~", it is this type of horror that pushes Emmylou to a corner.

Okada: Destroyed by things that are produced by themselves. When I portrayed this story, I thought to myself, "I can understand this too." I hate haunted houses the most. In particular, the haunted house is very complicated to make, which is too scary (laughs). When I walked in the haunted house, I thought "what would come out of there", but instead I was scared and couldn't move forward. Ghosts are almost always seen when people think too much about them. However, the environment in which people can think like this is terrifying. For Emily, although she was the last to make the decision, she also made mistakes.

Q: Mr. Sato seems to like Emmylou's appearance.

Okada: He once discussed with me, "Emily Lou is so pitiful, you should find a way." I wanted to laugh a little bit, "You would say something like that." That Sato looks really "pure" (laughs).

Emily Lou is the girl who is most likely to let the audience see the misfortune she is carrying. When I portrayed Emily Lou's inner cry, Mr. Sato wanted me to describe it in the direction of "if you can't make her happy, it's worthless." Speaking of which, I wrote something like "Cheer up and fight for breath" (laughs).

Q: It's a lot of Okada's style (laughs).

Okada: Let Emily have a feeling of "kicking the guy who looks down on her" (laughs). But when I found out that Mr. Sato actually thought that, I was amused. He's more constructive than I am (laughs).

Q: The heroine of this story is Shinome.

Okada: That's right. Shinome did not appear in the first episode, and the number of episodes in which she officially appeared was handled by Mr. Shinsuke Onishi. Of course, I also provided him with a record that "Shinome is such a girl", but Mr. Onishi's creation of Shinome is more childlike than I imagined, which is really surprising.

The story is conceived by me, but the characters change according to what she says. At first, when I was portraying Shinome, I had an incredible feeling: "Do I know what to do about this child?" "But thanks to that, I know exactly what kind of character I should portray.

At the end of the day, Shinome is a person with a good heart who can understand Akaji and heal him. It feels like she fits the set standards of the heroine. And Akaji was attracted to such a Shinome, and he was slowly affected.

Q: Speaking of female characters, Maamu's gloomy personality is also a highlight.

Okada: Even though we focused on interactivity when creating the work, on the whole, I wanted it to have a feeling of "being in line with the work and allowing the plot to unfold smoothly." This idea is reflected in Maya Dream, who, personally, is a girl who meets the requirements of a heroine. We also asked her to do some narrator's work, and the content of the narration coincided with the novels she wrote.

When portraying 8 teenagers and girls, they can communicate with each other even if they don't speak. And this setting has also become the core of the plot in the future, but under this premise, he deliberately let Zhen Yameng use words to express his feelings to others, what is this for? Is it a blessing or a curse for people to be able to communicate with each other? This question is not only used in the setting of battles, but will also be a major theme in future episodes.

Q: When I was reading the interview log, I noticed that you mentioned that Mr. Sato once said something like "I want to induce Ms. Okada's secondary school disease......

Okada: Personally, I was very troubled by what he asked of him in the creative process. I think that if you deliberately pursue it, it will make people want to get rid of this term (laughs). It's better to say that Mr. Sato's side has fully ignited the soul of the second disease. At first, Mr. Sato always wanted to say something unacceptable about the second illness, but lately, the way he speaks has gradually become normal (laughs).

It's just that if you want to talk about Mr. Sato's merits, then it should be in other aspects. In the first episode, there is a plot where Akaji does the action of "biドン" (the action of one party forcing the other party into a corner to confess, such as shoujo manga), which I rarely wrote about before. It's just that when I was working on Vampire Knight, Mr. Sato did some things in the episodes he was in charge of storyboarding that impressed me. At that time, I wrote in the script, "Hold the girl and press her down on the bed", but when Mr. Sato actually made it, it turned into throwing the girl on the bed with a "bang". That's when I thought, "How could this have happened!" (laughs). And the excitement that arose at that time, I also hope to let him reminisce in the form of "wall ドン". I think the interesting thing about Mr. Sato is that he has the momentum to break through as well as young people, and he is very committed to accumulating life experience (laughs).

Q: However, "Bi ドン" is surprisingly crisp (laughs).

Okada: I'm a little sorry for that, too. This time, there is a very intense plot, and Mr. Sato has provided a lot of ideas. When I read the creative records handed over to other creators, I realized that I wrote this work, but few of the stories fit my style. I can see that I was also influenced by Mr. Sato, and I incorporated his style into my creations, so that "M3~Na Black Steel~" became a different work from the previous work.

Q: The number of pages in the script has also decreased.

Okada: In the recent anime, the script for about one episode is about 73~78 pages. And if there are more pages, it is often a matter of speaking quickly and a dizzying plot unfolding. In the past, stories were all about starting and ending, but now it is allowed to start with "beginning" in one episode, only "from and within" in one episode, or if there is no "knot" in this episode, the next episode starts from "up". We don't really want to be "airtight" according to the number of episodes.

However, Mr. Sato has always adhered to such rules. He told me that the script for each episode of this work should not exceed 68~9 pages. This is also so that he can create the atmosphere of the work through his own performance style and proportions, but in order to be able to reflect the "airtightness" in each episode, we also pay more attention.

Q: Sure enough, in terms of the structure of the work, it fits in with Director Sato's style.

Okada: It may be difficult for you to understand, but Mr. Sato's previous animations that are not dark are not very different from the structure of this work. Although this work is a bit unusual, it still implements Mr. Sato's basic creative method.

Compared to recent anime, there are subtle differences in "M3~That Black Steel~" in terms of the main point of "it should be carefully explained here / it doesn't matter if it is not explained here". It is also unique in judging the question of "digging deep here/not needing to dig into" in interpersonal relationships. Because the content we want to portray is different from other anime, our opinions will change, but the foundation of the work is still Mr. Sato's idea. Because of this, there is a subtle sense of dissonance, which is also the interesting part of the work.

Q: In the story, when you hear the song of the gatekeeper of the Ignorant Realm, the "body", the person will die, and in order to fight against it, Akaji pilots the "Argent", a body called the "Grim Reaper". What will they aim for in the future?

Okada: The eight boys and girls gathered together without a clear purpose, but since they live in this somewhat abnormal world, they are faced with a situation where they can only fight. In the future story, they will think about the people around them while confronting the "body". And such a setting will also be more and more clearly shown in front of the audience in the later animations.

In this way, it seems that the story is simple, but naturally we can't make the story simple. On the contrary, although the plot seems strange, there is also a lot of orthodox content. This is also the unique feature of this work.

Q: How do you feel about working with Mr. Sato again after a long absence?

Okada: I always think that since the time of "Mercury Navigator", when I was still young, I thought, "Ah, there is an adult that I can't defeat" (laughs). I think that if I want to find the answer when I am creating, the answer must be in Mr. Sato's heart, so I can only collide with his heart. And this time, Mr. Sato said to me with an equal attitude, "You can think about it" and "That's what I think, can you do something more?" I was very happy. However, no matter how much I struggled, I would still end up in Mr. Sato's world. I had similar feelings about this when I faced Mr. Masaharu Kawamori, and although I felt very unwilling, I still ignited it after the end (laughs).

However, I was also happy to see Sato, who was full of energy. And being able to animate with him also makes me feel invaluable. Please look forward to the future development of this work.

With its unique sound quality, no matter which work it appears in, it exudes a sense of "Misaki Kuno is here". No matter how you look at it, it is a sound that can poison people imperceptibly. We are both the author of the "Lo Ball Club! I was moved by the cute performance of Mimi Balgri in SS", and listened to her singing the song "星くずこすぷれ☆うぃっち" as Brigitte Evans in "My Sister Can't Be So Cute"! 》。 In addition, the mantra of the Red King in "Galileo Girl" is also impressive. Because of this, Kuno-chan's fan base is constantly expanding.

[The bass's rabbit horn is a handsome girl]

"The Mystery of the Devil", which is currently on the air, is the original work of Gao Hegong, and the 13 "black group" female voice actors in the play have also caused a lot of topics, making the work one of the most eye-catching new episodes in recent times. Sayaka Suwa voices the character of Higashi Rabbit in the anime, and this character has a deep voice like a boy, and she is a handsome girl. Recently, she has also been often referred to as "Suwa-chan". At the end of the first episode of "Devil's Mystery", she sang the ending song "Paradox" as the East Rabbit Horn, and her cool voice was unforgettable. With the rock-style music, the emotions of the audience are also aroused, and Suwa Saika not only shows a handsome side, but also brews a sexy charm.

3. Saori Onishi

The birthday is August 6th. Born in Chiba Prefecture. It is currently owned by I'mEnterprise.

Main Works:

"TARITARI" (Masami Ohtani)

"'orinfectedWIXOSS" (Pilulu can be served) and so on.

[Elf makes Fiana = black long straight big sister]

Speaking of Saori Onishi, she has now confirmed that she will play the heroine in three anime, so it is natural that her acting skills are expected. Among them, in the fantasy work "Sword Dance of the Elven Messenger", which will be broadcast in July.、About the protagonist and 5 beautiful elves to fight in the school together.,She'll play the role of Fiyana Ray Odisia.。 Fiyana is a beautiful girl with a black long straight setting, and Saori Onishi commented on this: "She has the aura of a big sister, but she also has an unexpected childishness." The contrast is lovely. She will also be singing the ending song of the work with several other key voice actors, and events are also being planned. And the elves make Fiyana's dress up is also worth looking forward to.

We will continue to focus on more young voice actors in the future! The voice actor industry is really getting more and more difficult to look away.
