scp-026 scp-027

Item No: SCP-026

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-026 is to be placed under security lockdown and is not to be studied at any time. Alerts have been set up to warn the Foundation if civilians and other agencies enter the project.

Description: SCP-026 is a three-story public school building dating back β–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆ. It has two wings and connects to a central foyer. It was abandoned in β–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆ due to the discovery that its floor plan did not match the blueprint (see Interview Log 026-01). Several individuals in the area came to the Foundation's attention after they disappeared while exploring abandoned buildings.

-[strikethrough] The building shows a spatial anomaly. Its interior is much larger than its exterior surface indicates. The length of each corridor is different, and the number of steps varies when going up and down the stairs. The number of rooms on the side of the hallway varies from time time to time. So far, attempts to reach the end of the corridor have failed. Fire escape entrances at either end of the hallway lead to a door located in the middle of the length of the foyer. [strikethrough]-

Edit: View Note 026-A

There is a lot of graffiti on the interior walls of the school. Most of it seems to be typical graffiti, including gang signs, names, street art. Despite this, the graffiti kept disappearing and reappearing, and changing locations. A similar phenomenon can be found on blackboards and bulletin boards. The main range of these graffiti is standard school subjects (math, language, biology), and there are some mysterious graffiti such as quantum winding, β–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆ, and modified science. A researcher reported that one of the boards contained information about SCP-β–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆ, but the photographs taken showed only a blank space (see Note 026-B). The phrase "children used to sing a lot" appears several times in different locations throughout the building, both inside and outside the building, and its meaning is currently unknown.

A number of unconscious sleepers were found inside the building, most of them between twelve and eighteen years of school age. They were all dressed in accordance with school regulations, approximately β–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆ people. Several individuals were identified as former students of the school or staff who disappeared from the school after the closure (the last such example occurred 10 years after the closure of the school). The reason for how they were teleported back into SCP-026 is currently unknown. (See Note 026-C)

All attempts to awaken the sleeper inside the building have failed. Upon removal from SCP-026, the Sleeper immediately wakes up. These individuals have extremely confusing memories and quickly die of dehydration, aging and decomposition afterwards. No useful intelligence has been gleaned from these individuals.

This effect extends to those who sleep within SCP-026, and cannot be awakened, but the rapid dehydration effect only affects those found asleep within the school.

Note 026-A: Robot exploration and surveillance footage show that spatial anomalies arise from changes in the observer's perception, rather than actual spatial anomalies. As such, SCP-026 does not require the expertise of Mobile Task Force Rho-8 "Roadside Picnickers" at this time.

Progress: Further exploration has revealed a number of spatial anomalies. See Exploration Log for more information.

Note 026-B: Items such as notebooks, books, and paper have been observed to disappear and only reappear within SCP-026. And new writing appears on it, mostly graffiti or textbook content. Attention should be paid to this phenomenon when entering SCP-026 with documents.

Note 026-C: Several D-class personnel exploring SCP-026 have disappeared from Foundation surveillance and have only reappeared inside anomalous buildings. When questioned, they revealed that they had a previous dream of complaining, the same experience as Agent Malek.

Progress: See Interview Log 026-08.

Incident Report 026-12

During a routine examination of SCP-026, Agent Jones discovered that his partner, Agent Malek, was unconscious in the lobby, and after initial attempts to awaken Agent Malek were unsuccessful, he sent him to Site-β–ˆβ–ˆ. After leaving SCP-026, he suddenly woke up and became agitated. When questioned, he said he had a dream of studying in a classroom. This dream is consistent with the dreams of all people sleeping within SCP-026.

Item Number: SCP-027

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: The main body of SCP-027 (currently 027-02) is to be kept in a 5m x 5m containment chamber with a large, raised floor and a powerful vacuum system. All creatures exiting the containment chamber are required to [DATA EXPUNGED]. The chamber needs to be cleaned and inspected for structural damage on a daily basis.

027-02 is to be monitored by a minimum of two personnel at all times. Any anomalous behavior or signs of activity, or proximity of an unknown species to the subject, are to be reported to Level 4 personnel immediately.

Security personnel in charge of SCP-027 are to inoculate and equip all known zoonotic germs with tranquilizer guns, and are allowed to subdue subjects if ordered to do so.

Until SCP-027 is better understood, Level 4 personnel or higher are to avoid approaching within 200 meters of the subject.

Description: SCP-027 appears to be a germ of unknown origin, which can only inhabit the body of one human at a time (currently 027-02). As the main body of SCP-027, 027-02 is constantly attracting a variety of pests to crowd his surroundings. The subject is unable to control these creatures and is even attacked occasionally. These creatures will attack staff who get too close.

Wherever the subject goes, a bunch of flying insects such as gnats and flies will form a swarm of organisms around him, usually for two to three minutes. Shortly thereafter, reptiles (including lice, cockroaches, earthworms, spiders, [DATA EXPUNGED], mice, and rats) will begin to appear, and the longer the subject remains in one position, the more pests will congregate there. When the subject leaves a position, the creatures will follow, but most will scatter.

SCP-027 transferred its subject after the death of the first known subject, 027-01 (see Addendum 1 for more information). Due to the potential for SCP-027 to repeat this behavior after SCP-027-02's death, all important personnel are to stay away from the current subject until it is better understood that -027 may have undergone multiple unknown subject transfers prior to being taken into custody. Research into potential old subjects has been conducted, and preliminary evidence suggests that SCP-027 may have existed for at least β–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆ years.

It is unclear how SCP-027 selects or attracts animals, or even what SCP-027 actually is. The old subject has not been in contact with an independent human being in any way, and a temporary analysis of the present subject is the most appropriate method.

Addendum 1: Timeline of major events

On 04/β–ˆβ–ˆ/199β–ˆ, 027-01 was discovered in an abandoned warehouse infested with rats, cockroaches, and other pests outside of β–ˆβ–ˆ, β–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆ, and was subsequently contained and labeled SCP-027. The subject is described as a Caucasian man of average height, approaching 40 years of age, but with a haggard and dirty face and a body covered in bites and scratches. The subject's mind shows signs of deterioration, with heavy alcohol and illegal drugs and symptoms of prolonged insomnia.

October β–ˆβ–ˆ, 200β–ˆ: Subject deceased. Autopsy revealed that over 70% of the body's [DATA EXPUNGED] abdomen had been inhabited by rats of at least β–ˆβ–ˆ generations.

October β–ˆβ–ˆ, 200β–ˆ: Between 140 and 150 hours after the subject's death, guard Kβ–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆ Fβ–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆ reports being awakened by a large housefly that causes breathing difficulties (it was later confirmed to be laying eggs). Subsequent observations determined that Guard Fβ–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆ became 027-02, and the original subject was renumbered 027-01, redefining SCP-027.

[DATA EXPUNGED]

Addendum 2: Interview Log 027-201

The following interview was conducted on 10/β–ˆβ–ˆ/200β–ˆ, after SCP-027-02 was defined and moved to the containment chamber where SCP-027-01 was housed1.

Dr. Jameson: Morning, Guard Fβ–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆ. How do you feel?

027-02: Scared. Confusion. Although the main thing is to be afraid.

Dr. Jameson: Understand...

027-02: And itching. I felt like I needed a shower at any time.

Dr. Jameson: Ah... So, um, what about the inside? What do you think is different within your body... Exist?

027-02: [thinking, scratching his head] No, I don't think so. I really didn't notice.

Dr. Jameson: You didn't feel anything different after the death of your original host, other than itching?

027-02: No, I don't think I'm any different.

Dr. Jameson: Is there any sound, or coercionβ€”

027-02: [agitated] No, I don't feel anything other than insects crawling on me! I felt dirty, scared, and... Doctor, what's wrong with my family? You've got to get this thing away and let me go back to see my family!"

Dr. Jameson: When... Of course. We'll do everything we can to get 027 out of you. Oh my God, I... I'm sorry, Kβ–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆ....

Note: Shortly after this interview, Dr. Jameson and other former SCP-027 researchers were reassigned to other projects.
