Biography of Wei Wang Lang
Wang Lang (?) -228), his real name is Wang Yan [1], and his name is Jingxing. A native of Tan County, Donghai County (now northwest of Tancheng, Linyi City, Shandong).
From the end of the Han Dynasty to the Cao Wei period of the Three Kingdoms, he was an important minister and scholar. Wang Lang studied under Taiwei Yang Ci in his early years, and was worshiped as Langzhong because he was familiar with the scriptures.
Later, because of Yang Ci's death, he abandoned the official service and mourned, and he should not be filial piety. Xuzhou Thorn Shi Tao Qian cited him as a Maocai, and worshiped Xuzhou Zhizhong to engage in it.
Later, he was promoted to the post of chief inspector and was loved by the people during his tenure. In the first year of Jian'an (196), Sun Ce attacked Huiji in the south, Wang Lang led the army to resist, and was finally defeated, and was captured by Sun Ce on the way to escape, and was courteous.
Later, at the behalf-time request of Prime Minister Cao Cao, he arrived in Xudu after several years, and was worshiped as a counselor and a military officer.
After the establishment of the Wei Kingdom, he led the Wei County Taishou with military sacrificial wine, and served as Shaofu, Fengchang, Dali and other positions.
When Cao Pi succeeded to the throne, he moved to the imperial doctor and sealed the Marquis of Anlingting. After the establishment of Cao Wei, he was reappointed as Sikong and entered the township marquis of Leping.
After Cao Rong succeeded to the throne, he became Situ on behalf of Huaxin and entered the Marquis of Lanling. In the second year of Taihe (228), Wang Lang died, and he was nicknamed
"Cheng". His grandson, Queen Yuanji, married Emperor Wen of Jin Dynasty Sima Zhao, and gave birth to Emperor Wu of Jin Dynasty Sima Yan and King Sima You of Qi.
Wang Lang is very knowledgeable, and his son Wang Su is also a scholar of scriptures. He is the author of "The Biography of Zhou Yi", "The Biography of the Spring and Autumn Period", "The Biography of the Book of Filial Piety", "The Biography of Zhou Officials", etc., and has 34 volumes of anthologies, most of which have been lost today.
