Chapter 1004: Buddha and Incense (I)

At that time, Vimala entered into samadhi and showed it to the public with his divine powers.

The above means that at that time, the Vimal monks entered the meditation on their own. It is Mandarin, and there are too many realms.

There are 84,000 afflictions in the minds of sentient beings together, and there are 84,000 different samadhi in the realm set by the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas.

Sanbi is Sanskrit, the sound "three" is the Chinese "zheng", and the three ambiguity is zheng.

That very special and transcendent feeling is the state of determination.

Since the Tang Dynasty, the term Samadhi has been integrated into the literature of the Central Plains, referring to transcendent achievements and special realms.

Some people are particularly good at painting, so they say that they have to paint samadhi; If you do a good job in boxing, you have to be martial arts.

Other sutras also translate samadhi into special or triumphant realms.

Victory is not victory, it is the meaning of transcending everything and being incomparable.

Besides, after the Vimal monks enter the meditation, they will show their supernatural powers, and the supernatural powers must be sent out in the fixed realm. What did Vimal demonstrators show? Here's an explanation.

"The upper boundary, across the forty-two Ganges sand Buddha land, there are country names and incense, Buddha incense, now and now."

A solar system is a world, and our earth is just one of the planets.

Astronomy confirms that there are not many solar systems like this in space, which shows that the Buddha is right, and the celestial concepts of other religions have collapsed.

Here it is said that the Vimal monks walked upwards with their divine powers, crossing the forty-two Ganges sand Buddha lands.

And a grain of sand is equal to the land of a Buddha.

The land of one Buddha is three thousand worlds.

You don't have to say how much sand there is in a big river like the Ganges, even a small river has countless sand!

So how far it has gone is that it is impossible to say how far it has gone even if it is used in modern science.

If it were us, we wouldn't be able to eat this meal.

In the world so far above, there is a Buddha land named Zhongxiang, and there is a Buddha whose name is Xiangji, which is still there today.

Even in our time, this Buddha still exists. At that time, the lecture was two or three thousand years ago, and in the eyes of the Buddha, it was just a snap of a finger.

That world, like the land of Amitabha Buddha and the land of Xiangji Buddha, and so on, are beyond the Three Realms, so the realm over there is special, how is it special? Listen to the following:

"The fragrance of its country is the first compared to the fragrance of the Buddhas of the Ten Directions."

The incense of the Buddha land of the Buddha country is certainly not comparable to the sandalwood and perfume in our world, and the fragrance of all the Buddha worlds and gods and men in the ten directions cannot be compared.

This is not easy for us to understand, because we all stink, but we don't feel it when we smell it, so we have to fast and bathe before we dare to do the most respectful things, both in the East and the West.

"There is no sound of the name of the Buddha in the other land, only the pure great Bodhisattvas, and the Buddha is the Dharma."

There are no Hinayana people in the world of incense, there are no people with small instruments, there are no arhats who hear the sounds, only the pure great bodhisattvas, and the Buddha of incense himself speaks the Dharma for them.

"Everything in its realm is made of incense, and the gardens are fragrant."

In this world, the pavilions and pavilions with supernatural changes are all made of incense, of course, not the architectural form of our world, where you meditate and walk, and in the garden, they are all incense.

"The aroma of its food flows around the world in all directions."

The people of that world still have to eat, and the aroma of the food over there spreads to the immeasurable worlds of the ten directions.

Have we ever smelled it? It seems that when some people meditate, they feel that they are already terrible when they smell a little sandalwood.

"When the Buddha and the Bodhisattvas sit and eat together."

As soon as Vimo Jushi showed his supernatural powers, the tens of thousands of people in his room immediately saw the scene of the Xiangji Kingdom, and saw the Xiangji Buddha and his disciples, sitting there eating.

"There are all the sons of heaven who call incense and send out the three bodhichitta, and make offerings to the Buddhas and the bodhisattvas, and all the people will see it."

There are all the gods in the upper world, all of them are called Xiangyan, and they have all developed supreme enlightenment, but they have not yet attained Buddhahood.

These gods are all respectfully offering incense to the Buddha and the Bodhisattvas. The material offerings in our world are clothing, food, bedding, and decoctions, and offerings to elders, sentient beings, and Buddhas and Bodhisattvas.

The offering of the heart, the highest offering is the Dharma offering. Dharma offerings are the last sentence of every sutra: "Believe, receive, and practice." According to what the Buddha taught you, practice it very sincerely and obediently. The first sentence of every classic is "As I smell".
