Chapter 1005: Buddha and Incense (II)
The last sentence is "believe and be observed."
At that time, Vimalaya asked the bodhisattvas, "All benevolent ones, who can give him Buddha's rice?" ”
This is really wonderful, you see that the Vimo monks are rectifying the person, everyone is hungry, the four are empty, only the stomach is empty, and the fifth is empty.
The Vimo monks showed their magical powers, and let them see that the Buddha of Xiangji was leading his disciples to eat, which was fragrant and good.
At that time, I am afraid that many people were drooling when they saw it.
That's not all, Vimala asked the bodhisattvas again, and he didn't ask the Hinayana arhats, and the low-level students didn't ask. He asked who could go up and get it? This really made everyone miserable.
"With Manjushri's divine power, all are silent."
Manjushri was the leader, he didn't express an opinion, and the other bodhisattvas, including Avalokiteshvara, didn't speak.
In fact, these bodhisattvas can do it, they are singing double reeds with Vimala laymen to teach the lower Hinayana arhats.
Vimala said, "There is no shame in being kind to the people." ”
This sentence was so serious that Vimo said that everyone here is too shameful!
Manjushri said, "As the Buddha said, don't take it lightly. ”
At this time, Manjushri opened his mouth and pushed back, and he said to Vimal monks, "Brother, please note that Buddhism teaches us not to despise any person, a sentient being, even a worm or a cow, which is common to Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism in Eastern culture. Don't despise someone just because they're beginners.
Here is the use of the unlearned, and some of the classics are used to learn at the end, and the same is true. You sometimes write to me and claim to be fools, but this is wrong. When we were young, some teachers wrote to us, and he would humbly call himself foolish; My maternal uncle writes to me, and he will call himself a fool; The elder brother writes to the younger brother, and the foolish brother can also be used; It is not okay for a student to write a letter to a teacher and call himself a fool.
If you are a fool, I deserve to die as a teacher. I've been talking about it for many years, and some of you still write about credit foolishness, it's really stupid, and this stupid word can't be used indiscriminately.
I know that you think you are stupid, so you use stupidity.
Its practical foolish words are falsely modest. You're a fool, just call me a stupid teacher. You wrote to your seniors, who had a high status, but had no special relationship with you, and were not relatives, superiors, or teachers, so you claimed to be the last student.
There are also people who claim to be post-learning, which is different, post-learning is a general humble title, which is higher than the last learning.
If a monk goes out to visit good knowledge, but is not a teacher, he can call himself a scholar or a scholar.
Now the scholar can no longer be used, and the lecturer used to say that he was still in the learning stage and had not yet reached the fruit position.
Now you call yourself a scholar, but people who don't understand will scold you for daring to be so arrogant. So we people of the old generation really don't know what to do when they live in this era!
The first of the Mahayana bodhisattva vows in the "Treatise on the Land of Yogis" is to prescribe self-praise and defame him, which is the fundamental heavy vow.
Those who study the Mahayana Bodhisattva path are absolutely humble and do not despise anyone.
In other words, not to despise anyone means to respect anyone.
Vimala made a vow here, and he scolded these bodhisattvas for being too shameful, and Manjushri immediately corrected him.
From this point, it can be seen that Manjushri and the great bodhisattvas deliberately suppressed their supernatural powers and waited for Vimala to perform, because he was the protagonist of this play.
Good! Who's going to get the food this time?
You want to cultivate to the state of not eating, and the problem is here, how can you do it?
Recently, I looked at the yearbook of Master Hanshan, and he didn't eat for many days as soon as he entered the Ding, which was just preliminary, and he didn't need to eat to get into the Ding, how easy it was to say!
There is no need for food and touch food, and it has reached the realm of only thinking about food and knowing food.
Ordinary people have to eat all four kinds of food, like the so-called spiritual food is thinking food, intellectuals are sad if they don't study, this is the third kind of food, we must eat it. Some people don't read the Bible and don't study it, will you grow up without three meals?
If you don't want to read books, just listen to the scriptures, and only use your ears to eat is unreliable, you don't eat it!
This passage sounds like a mythical realm, but it is actually true.
The first of the eight liberations mentioned above is liberation, which comes from the combination of the four major liberations. Liberation does not come from effort, but by wisdom. To borrow a Taoist saying, when you reach "a body outside the body", or get the "mind birth body" mentioned in the "Ranga Sutra", then you can get the liberation of the five yin.
The body is the most difficult to get rid of, and I will tell this secret first, and then I will know that it is very serious.
