Chapter 1049: Bodhisattva Walk (10)

"Pure ten good paths, blessed by heaven and man." Cultivating the ten good karmic paths, turning evil into good, and turning the negative karma of the body, mouth, and mind around, this has just been talked about.

The Pure Ten Virtuous Paths are the first step in cultivation, and it is the most preliminary path for people to practice the Five Vehicles Path, as mentioned earlier.

Is just cultivating the Ten Good Karmic Paths the same as learning Buddhism? No. You pay attention to this scripture, and you can't let go of a word. It is to "purify" the ten good paths, not only to eliminate all evil and do all good, but to live at both ends of good and evil, and to reach the pure land realm of pure heart and pure Buddha land, so that people can receive blessings from heaven.

In fact, monks are more blessed than in their families, and as soon as they shave their hair, they can live in a place where the mountains and rivers are beautiful, even in the city, at least there are a few clear windows.

Although there is no meat to eat, there are also vegetarian chickens, which are Qingfu.

We divide blessings into blessings and blessings. Hongfu is a blessing in this red dust world, like ordinary people have children, daughters, money, status, etc., in fact, these are all troubles, blessings, blessings, and blessings, the greater the atmosphere.

Those who have great blessings often do not enjoy the blessings, and the monks who have the blessings often do not cherish the blessings.

Where did Qingfu come from? It comes from cultivating the ten good karmic paths.

There used to be a scholar who was very good at learning but didn't go out to test for fame. Every night after eating, he must burn a stick of incense, worship all the way to the door, and then insert it at the door. This is called burning incense and making offerings to the gods.

He burned the incense of heaven for decades, and finally moved the gods, and one night, the gods appeared in front of the scholars and asked him what he wanted.

The scholar said that he wanted nothing, and the gods were moved when they heard it; Ask him again if he really doesn't want anything?

The reader thought for a while and said that he really didn't want anything, he just wanted to live a long and healthy life, travel all over the world's famous mountains, and have no troubles in his life.

When the gods heard this, they were moved again, and said that this was the blessing of the gods in the upper realm, and they should not ask for it in vain.

What he asks for is Qingfu, you can be allowed to ask for fame and wealth, but you can't do it if you ask for this.

You see, what is a blessing? It's a pity that some people enjoy the blessings but don't know that people are in the blessings, and the result is that the blessings are eliminated, and then it is miserable. Therefore, "purifying the ten good paths and receiving the blessings of heaven and man" is to enjoy pure blessings.

Some people who study Buddhism are very blessed, but they don't understand, but they complain to me that they have studied Buddhism for so many years and have nothing.

I asked him, what more could you want? You're already comfortable! Why don't you understand?

"Cultivate the four immeasurable minds and open the path of Brahma." The four immeasurable minds of compassion, compassion, joy, and renunciation are the basis of the bodhisattva path.

How do you call immeasurable? Compassion and joy are infinite, the mind is open, and there is never a time for satisfaction. To learn Buddhism, first cultivate the ten good karmic paths, and further cultivate the four immeasurable minds. What is the retribution for cultivating the four immeasurable minds?

Brahma Path. It has already been said that heaven and man are blessed, is there still a Brahma path? The results of cultivating the ten good karmic paths. The retribution of cultivating the four immeasurable minds is to go to the next level, the retribution of Brahma. Therefore, the merit of cultivating the four immeasurable minds is greater than cultivating the ten good karmic paths.

"Persuade the Dharma, praise the good with joy, and get the voice of the Buddha." "Persuasion and Teaching" is commonly found in the "Prayers of the Virtuous" and other scriptures, which is to persuade the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas and the great good knowledge to say more, that is, to promote education. We should also rejoice in other teachings, that is, we must encourage more and "praise the good with joy."

When it comes to "persuade the Dharma, praise the goodness with joy", you may think that the text is easy to understand. But why do Buddhas and Bodhisattvas still need people to persuade him to speak the Dharma?

It can be seen that it is not easy to explain the law, and it is not a pleasant thing to educate people, but a painful thing.

All of you here have great wisdom and should understand this feeling. Therefore, the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas are tired of speaking the Dharma, and they need to be persuaded and encouraged.

There is this precept in ancient times, and there is a Dharma master within a hundred miles who says that it is a violation of the bodhisattva vow not to praise the good with joy, because the agricultural society is not densely populated and the culture is not developed.
