Chapter 951 - Phases (2)

"Deep heart for Hua Hu", with deep heart to wear the flower ornament. The deep heart is the state of the Buddha, the Buddha can exhaust all wisdom, the source of all the laws, the so-called heaven and the world know everything. It is equivalent to the Confucianism of the Central Plains culture. "Ignorance of nothing is a shame for Confucianism". True Confucianism must be knowledgeable and omniscient, and this is the deep heart, which is the best decoration.

"Rich in the seven treasures, teach to nourish, practice as said, and dedicate to great benefits." For a cultivator, what is wealth regardless of whether he is a monk at home? The practice of the Righteous Path of the Seven Awarenesses (Faith, Precepts, Shame, Shame, Hearing, Renunciation, and Wisdom) is wealth. But if you think you have enlightened the Tao and have great wealth, and you refuse to share it with others, your way will be finished.

Why do the world worship enlightened people? Because enlightened people can be our teachers and guide us in our practice. If he only wants to achieve himself, then we don't need to provide for him, it's just a selfish person who has no Tao and can't even talk about basic arhat attainments.

Therefore, those who have attained the Tao should "teach for nourishment", as if they were saving money to earn interest, teaching others, and seeing that others can achieve something, and their hearts are extremely happy.

Confucius's students said that he was "tireless in learning and tireless in teaching", and this is the case. But it's too hard to do. Those of us who have been teaching for a long time are ashamed to think about it. "Teach the world's talents" is one of the three major joys of life, if you meet the world's stupid talents, it will become one of the great hardships of life.

But can you give up the foolish? That's not the mood of an educator, it's not the bodhisattva path. Although scolding, although angry, I still have to teach, this is called my mother, sometimes I feel that this is not deep enough, I should call my grandmother. Even if the students taught are at the same level as themselves, to be honest, they are not happy. Zen Buddhism says, "Seeing the same as the teacher, reducing the teacher by half a virtue." I have seen the teacher, but it can be taught. But although we can't find such talents, we still have to teach, which is the tireless spirit of teaching.

"Practice as you say", these are the modest words of Vimala layman, and it is also a warning to us who study Buddhism to practice as the Buddha taught, not just to engage in the thoughts of Buddhist scriptures. Cultivation is to correct one's behavior, but practice is not for one's own attainment, but to dedicate, that is, to give. For example, when we are talking about Buddhist scriptures and listening to Buddhist scriptures, we should dedicate any merits to all sentient beings. What interests are not possessed by oneself is the spirit of dedication. As long as there is generosity, there must be dedication, how much power you throw out, how great the power of returning, benefiting others is self-interest, that is, the slogan "I am for everyone, everyone is for me". Dedication is great profit, you can give everything out, are you still afraid that you will starve to death? Even if you starve to death, your corpse can still be given to ants and bacteria, and then go back again, that's a real achievement.

"The four meditations are the bed, from the pure life, more hearing and increasing wisdom, thinking that it is the sound of self-consciousness." Mahayana Buddhism is based on the precepts and wisdom, and is based on the four meditations and eight precepts. We have seen that in the last 100 years, Buddhism has been declining more and more, because there are too few practitioners who have attained fruition, and there are more and more empty theories. Those who have truly cultivated the Four Meditations and the Eight Determinations do not have it, and they can't even get the first meditation. Vimala has proposed here that we practitioners should take the four meditations as the basic bed.

Why do you practice meditation but can't attain it? Because they have not been purified. You have to pay a lot of attention to this purification. How are we alive? There are two parts, one is the body and the other is the mind. Everyone wants to live longer, but the life in this world now is turbid, and this world is the five turbid and evil worlds (turbidity, turbidity, troubles, sentient beings, and fate).

Our lives are born turbid, and our bodies and minds are not as clean as they are inside and out. A person who can cultivate a white bone view and an impure view is basically a pure life, his temperament has changed, and the cells and joints in his body have become white. In fact, when we die, the bones can't become pure white, they will all have a yellowish brown color, which is karma, unless we really cultivate to whiteness. Tantra says that when the cultivation of qi and veins is achieved, this body is transformed, and only then can you attain pure life.
