Chapter 776: Yipin (II)
At that time, Sariputta, the Buddha and the mighty god, made a thought: If the bodhisattva's heart is pure, then the Buddha's land is pure, and when I am a bodhisattva, will my mind not be pure? But the Buddha's land is not pure, if this is the case? When the Buddha knew his thoughts, he told him: What is the meaning of the clouds? Will not the sun and the moon be pure? And the blind are gone. He said, "No, World-Honored One! It is the blind who is to blame, not the sun and the moon. Sariputta! Because of the sins of all living beings, they do not see that the land is pure, and they are not to blame. Sariputta! I am pure in this land, and you are not seen. At that time, the sariputta of the Sanskrit king said: Don't do it, saying that this Buddha land is impure. So what? I saw that Shakyamuni Buddha's land was pure, such as being in the heavenly palace. Sariputta said: I see this soil, the hills and pits, the thorns and gravel, the earth and rocks, the mountains, full of filth and evil. King Luoji said: The benevolent person has a high heart, and does not rely on the wisdom of the Buddha, so he sees this soil as an impure ear. Sariputta! Bodhisattvas are equal to all living beings, their hearts are pure, and according to the wisdom of the Buddha, they can see that this Buddha land is pure. So the Buddha thought that according to the ground, the three thousand worlds in real time a number of hundreds of treasures are strictly decorated, such as the treasure solemn Buddha, the immeasurable merit treasure solemn earth, all the people, sigh unprecedentedly, and all see themselves sitting on the treasure lotus. The Buddha told Sariputta: Is the Buddha's land pure? Sariputta said, "Only! World-honored! I don't see it, I don't hear it, and now the land of the Buddha is strictly clear. The Buddha told Sariputta: My Buddha's land is always pure like this, and it is for the sake of wanting to save the inferior people, showing that it is the impure land of all evils. For example, the heavens, the common treasure and food, according to their merits, the color of the rice is different. So! Sariputta! If the heart is pure, then the merits of this earth are solemn. When the Buddha appeared in this land and was pure, the 500 elders and sons of the Treasure Accumulation Institute were all able to endure without life, and 84,000 people all developed the three bodhichitta. The Buddha is full of gods, so the world is still the same. Those who seek to hear and hear, 32,000 heavens and people, know the impermanence of the Dharma, and the dust is far away, and the eyes of the Dharma are pure. Eight thousand bhikshus, who are not subject to the Dharma, do not understand everything. Shi Ruyi tasted it here like a chant, and stopped, "The above is a product!" I don't know if the two of you have a high opinion? ”
must have seemed to understand whether he understood or not, and seemed to answer or not, he nodded to Shi Ru, "The best!" ”
Shi Ru looked at Zhang Cambodia, who was sitting next to him with his eyes closed, and was about to speak, but he didn't expect Zhang Cambodia to say: "The old man has a question, what is the 'Yipin' and 'Buddha Country' that the master just said?" ……”
After this question, Shi Ru couldn't help but be secretly surprised in his heart: looking at his expression just now, I thought he was asleep. Therefore, he said that what the poor monk said was that India and China's inherent culture are slightly different, and the "product" just mentioned is to refer to paragraphs rather than "chapters" and chapters. Only the "Forty-two Chapters of the Classic" translated during the Han Dynasty is an exception.
The meaning of "Buddha national product" is to let us first understand what is the land of the Buddha, which is not the country of a country, but the realm of the Buddha, and how to be called a Buddha.
I will not say much about the detailed meaning of "as I have heard", but it is an expression of the responsibility of the person who recorded the scriptures.
Shi Rushen is afraid that the explanation is not clear enough, so he adds a lot of snakes, and below, I will add to it:
"For a while" means that at that time, and the ancient Indians paid little attention to historical time, which was very different from that of China. But all Buddhist scriptures begin with "time" or "time", but they also have a profound meaning, because time is artificially assumed, and the universe has no direction, no present, past, and future. 10,000 years is like a snap of a finger, and it should not be limited by the artificial concept of time. Modern science has also proved that time on Earth is different from time on the Moon, as well as time on other planets, and that time is a relative concept. The Buddhist scriptures say "for a while", that is, there is no time, and that is the time.
"Buddha is in the garden of the Buddha in the tree garden of Viyali Anra" and is the place.
"Piyali" is the location of the Vimo monks, and the Chinese is "Guangyan City", which is a vast and solemn place, that is, the place where the Buddha said the Medicine Master Sutra, and it is necessary to pay attention to this related detail.
"There are 80 people with the great bhikshus, and 32,000 bodhisattvas" is a record of the number of people who listened to the Dharma at that time. The number of the Buddha's monks and disciples recorded in the Medicine Guru Sutra and the Vimala Sutra is 8,000, which is different from the 1,250 in the Diamond Sutra and the Amitabha Sutra. There are 32,000 bodhisattvas who listen to this sutra, but in the Medicine Sutra there are 36,000 bodhisattvas. These numbers are not arbitrary, they are the same as the mathematical questions of the I Ching, they are related to our practice, and we must investigate this mystery.
When it comes to bodhisattvas, we are all bodhisattvas, but we are only bodhisattvas in the position, that is, we have the qualifications of a bodhisattva candidate, and whether or not we can eventually become a bodhisattva in the fruit position depends on our own practice.
