Chapter 927: Do a good deed every day
The right path of Mahayana Buddhism.
In Chinese culture, the highest state of everything is customarily represented by the word Tao, and the way of Buddhism is the way of the Buddha.
Manjushri asked Vimala, "How can a bodhisattva attain the path of Buddhahood?"
Manjushri asked Vimala layman, how can Mahayana Bodhisattva cultivate the path and truly attain the path of Buddhahood?
We often use this word, the ancients asked if they understood reading, but whether they understood it.
Some people have a very high degree and are very knowledgeable, but they don't necessarily understand it, and they become a nerd, only knowledge, but not practical to be a person and do things.
The ancients scolded this kind of person as pedantic, and he was good at learning and writing well, but he was useless in being a man and doing things.
Vimala says: If a bodhisattva walks in the non-path, it is to attain the path of the Buddha.
Vimala said that the Mahayana Bodhisattva had attained enlightenment, and his actions were unreasonable.
Bodhisattvas who walk in the opposite way, not good people and good deeds along the way, and the behavior of the Bodhisattva seems to be no good on the surface, and even great evil, but in fact it is the education of the reverse path.
This path of rebellion and the path of Buddhism have different views.
The Zen patriarch once said that some people's spiritual insights can become Buddhas, but not demons.
It seems that the attainments of demons are higher than those of Buddhas, because Buddhas are on the right path, while demons are on the opposite path.
Therefore, Mahayana says that only bodhisattvas with more than ten lands can be qualified to be demon kings, turn the world upside down, and turn heaven and earth upside down, this kind of realm is not something ordinary people can do.
Only bodhisattvas with more than ten lands can be emperors who rule the world, so sometimes they act like a demon king.
For example, there is a practice in Tantra that is the Vajra Tantra, which is not something that ordinary people can do or understand, because the appearance is the opposite of the general idea.
He also asked: Yun He Bodhisattva is in the wrong way?
Manjushri asked, "What is the non-path practice of the so-called Mahayana Bodhisattva path?" Vimal replied at length.
Answer: If a bodhisattva walks in the five infertile realms without being troubled, and as for hell, there are no sins, and it is not easy to walk in the wrong way like this.
When you hear this, don't act like a person and say that you are a bodhisattva and do not follow the path, then it is really a non-way.
Devadatta, the Buddha's cousin, has always been against the Buddha and wants to harm the Buddha everywhere in his life.
Once, when he pushed a stone down from a mountain, he crushed the Buddha's toe and bleed, and although he went to hell, he felt that the happiness there was greater than the happiness of the three heavens.
The Buddha said that Devadatta, although he was against him, was actually the Buddha's teacher, and he was the one who went against the Buddha's path to hone the Buddha's teachings and promote the Buddha's speedy enlightenment.
Therefore, the Buddha gave Devadatta in the Lotus Sutra to Devadharma, which should be reborn as a Buddha in the future.
It's harder to go against the path than to go on the way, you have to do it, but do you have the ability to do it?
He felt that he was better than the three meditation heavens in hell, without anger and guilt.
If you have this ability, you dare to say that if I don't go to hell, who will go to hell, this is the Bodhisattva Path.
We only look at the front of the ordinary path, and the front of the wall is very easy to see, and the whole wall is black, and you can't see that there is light and light in the black, which is the reverse path of the Bodhisattva Path. Those who practice the bodhisattva path kill people like hemp, but they are actually saving sentient beings.
To understand this realm, one must read the Huayan Sutra, which says that the Rich Boy went to visit an emperor incarnated by a Bodhisattva, who was brutal and murderous.
The good money boy was scared to death when he saw it, but the emperor said that he was cooling people, and told the good money boy to jump into the fire pit if he didn't believe it.
The bodhisattva in the air also called the good wealth boy to jump, and as soon as he jumped into the fire pit, it turned out to be a cool place.
Among the fifty-three ginseng of the good wealth boy, there are not a few bodhisattvas on the front, there are foreign Taoists, demon kings, and prostitutes, all of whom are practicing non-Taoism and reaching the Buddha's path.
Therefore, the Dharma is not necessarily in a high mountain, in a pure place, or in a temple, and the real great bodhisattva may not have a word of Buddha in his mouth, and do not look at the world and people in the form of religion.
The Dharma is still in the world, and the six ancestors said: The Dharma is in the world, and it is not separated from the world. Leaving the world to find Bodhi is just like asking for a rabbit's horns.
There is no place in society where there is no Dharma. Although Buddhism says that Buddhism is about to decline in the era of the end of the Dharma, the Buddha does not talk about the end of the Dharma, the image of the Dharma, and the Dharma at all in the Mahayana scriptures.
The Dharma is immortal in the world, and the truth does not change in the world, but it is expressed differently in different places and at different times.
It doesn't have to be this image, it's not necessarily this religion, but it's all about Buddhism.
The drinking water in our world looks very pure, but in the eyes of heaven and man, it is extremely turbid. Therefore, the Chinese Taoist book says that there is a kind of stone slurry in the ground, like milk flowing from stones, which is drunk by celestial beings, and if we can drink a sip, our bodies will become like jade, and we will never eat and we will live forever.
In addition, there is also stone water in the fairy mountain, which is said to be found in Guangxi. It sounds like a myth, but it's not.
Ordinary water is heated to boiling, and it will burn when you touch it, and if you freeze the water, it will freeze when you touch it, which is a physical effect.
Merit is not just the use of money to give, but the practice of all evil.
The slogan of the Boy Scouts: It is good to do a good deed every day, and we must do something good every day, no matter how big or small.
Can you do what a Boy Scout can do every day? He also said that he was cultivating, how ashamed! Because bodhisattvas have accumulated immeasurable merits, they dare to transform sentient beings, and this is the bodhisattva path.
