Chapter 69 Zhuangzi teaches you how to learn the Tao and be a man
How the saint calmly understands the reincarnation of life, how he views the life of all things. How to look at the life of man and the life of all things, then! The saint has an attitude towards life and a standard of principles for dealing with the world.
People tend to be like this, when they wake up and feel that they are a human being, they feel that they are different from other things, and they are very happy, thinking that they seem to be great, as if they are better than other things.
In fact, they don't know that the Tao transforms into a human (evolves into a human), but it is only one of the transformations, one of them, and there is no end to the transformation (evolution). If you feel that you have evolved into a human, you are so happy? So! Transfiguration (evolution) is happy once, can the number of times you be happy still be counted?
So! The cognitive realm of the saint goes far beyond the realm of "sociological" people and enters the realm of the Tao.
The sage believed that man was just a species (man) that evolved in the process of evolution. At the time of the next evolution, we don't yet know what it will be.
So! No matter what it evolves into in the future, the saint can accept it calmly and face it calmly. So! The saint doesn't have to hide anything. Because! As the Tao, it is always there.
So! The saints have the same attitude towards things that die before they die or when they die in old age. Because! This thing dies and the other thing lives, and it is only to complete the process of this life. It's just the beginning of a life, and then to the end of life.
So! The world should follow suit, and it must have such a level of understanding and realm. Originally, human beings and all things come from heaven and earth, from the Tao, and have a common ancestor. It's just that the final result of transfiguration (evolution) is different. One became a human being, and the other became something else.
This is a state of cognition! Visible! What a high level this is.
It's not that we can go through the cycle of life with consciousness. Of course! Taoism is associated with superstition, religious beliefs, and they may believe.
From a materialistic point of view, it cannot be believed, and can only be used as a realm, a realm of cognition.
Then preach.
The Tao is real, visible, and perceptible. However! It seems to be inactive and formless. It is impossible to describe it, but we can perceive its existence. It seems that it is the kind that cannot be said but can only be understood. You can get it, but you can't see it for what it really is.
The Tao is the root, the root, the source of all things. It existed before the heavens and the earth appeared. It appeared earlier than ghosts and gods and heavenly emperors, and it gave birth to all things and people in heaven and earth. The ghosts and gods and the Emperor of Heaven only appeared after the appearance of human intelligence, so! The Tao is the root of all things.
So! It is not high above Taiji, it is not deep below the six poles, it has not existed long before heaven and earth, and it is not too old to be older than ancient times.
List the various benefits of learning the Tao:
Merriam-Webster got it and used it to rule the heavens and the earth;
Fu Xi got it and used it to reconcile the vitality;
The Big Dipper gets it and never changes its bearing;
The sun and moon get it, and it runs without ceasing;
It can be used to get it and use it to enter Kunlun Mountain;
Feng Yi got it and used it to cruise the rivers;
I got it and used it to garrison Mount Tai;
The Yellow Emperor got it and used it to climb the clouds;
颛顼 got it and used it to live in the Xuangong;
Yu Qiang got it and used it to gain a foothold in the North Pole;
The Queen Mother of the West got it and used it to sit in Shaoguang Mountain.
No one knows when it began to exist, and no one knows when it will end. Peng Zu got it and lived from the ancient Youyu era to the Wubo era; Fu said that he could get it, and use it to assist Wu Ding, rule the whole world, ride the Dongwei Star, ride the Keisu and the Tail Su, and thus forever rank in the ranks of the star gods.
So? It's hard to learn, right?
Nan Bozi Kui said: "Can you learn evil from the Tao? ”
He said, "Evil! Evil! The son is not his own person. ……”
Zhuangzi said: Learning the Tao is not something that anyone can do. But! If you understand this, you can learn the Tao.
Thereupon! Zhuangzi began to teach us the Tao by hand.
Spend three days to forget the world, don't think about the world, be the son of heaven, the king, and have everything in the world. Can you do it?
Spend seven days forgetting about things outside of your body, and stop chasing fame, power, money, and so on. Can you do it?
Spend nine days forgetting yourself, don't think of yourself as a human being, think of yourself as a thing in heaven and earth, and come from the Tao like all things. You are not a human being, you are a member of heaven and earth. Can you do it?
Only by forgetting oneself, not as a human being, only as a species in heaven and earth, just like all things, just a species. So! Only then will our hearts be fresh and clear, and we will be able to see through the world. And then! With this mindset of facing the world, we gradually approach the Tao. Because of this, our lives will suddenly become clearer, and we will have different life pursuits from those around us.
When we understand that life is just a process of life, what are the problems in our lives? Isn't it? When we understand that life is just a process of life, when one thing dies and the other is born, we can transcend the time limit of the past and the present, and there is no past and no present;
It has been able to transcend the time limit of the past and the present, and there is no past and no present; Our cognitive realm has also entered the realm of indifference to life and death. Without the concept of life, there is no concept of death, and there is no so-called life when you are nostalgic for life.
This thing dies and the other thing lives, as a thing, the Tao has nothing to give, and all have something to welcome; All of them are destroyed, and all of them are successful, which is called 'Ningning'. It means not to be disturbed by external things, and then to maintain a peaceful state of mind.
How did Zhuangzi attain enlightenment?
Zhuangzi said, "I have heard from the son of the Vice-Mo (writing), the son of the Vice-Mo from the grandson of Luo Chan (reciting), the grandson of the Luo Chan from Zhan Ming (clear vision), Zhan Ming from Nie Xu (whispering in the ear), Nie Xu from the servant (diligent and undeniable), the servant from Yu Zhen (chanting and comprehending), Yu Zhen from the Xuan Ming (the void and far-reaching), the Xuan Ming from the Shen Xiao (high and far away), and the Shen Xiao from the beginning of doubt (confused thinking). ”
"The Great Master" has been teaching us "learning the Tao" since it began to give examples. These examples are used to aid the explanation.
The first example is the change, the evolution of preaching, the change and evolution of all things.
Zixi, Ziyu, Zili, and Zilai said in harmony: "Who can take nothing as the head, life as the spine, and death as the spine; I am a friend of those who know that life and death are alive and dead! The four of them looked at each other and smiled, not against their hearts, so they became friends.
The second example is the state of life after preaching. The difference between Taoism and Confucianism in the realm of life is that one looks at life from the height of Taoism, and the other looks at human feelings from a secular perspective.
Standing on the height of the Tao, life is free, and standing on the world's point of view, life is rigid. A climbs to the sky and wanders in the fog, scratching and picking endlessly, forgetting each other to live, and ending up with nothing! But benevolence, righteousness, courtesy, courtesy, gentleness, frugality, benevolence, righteousness, courtesy, wisdom and faith are all things that bind people's hearts, and they are all things that deal with world affairs, rather than the fundamental methods to solve human and social problems.
To solve the fundamental problem of human beings, we must have a broad realm and a long-term vision, and do not stand on the narrow perspective of people and society. The first thing to solve is the outlook on life, and it is necessary to give the people of the world a correct outlook on life, the world, and the universe.
Zi Sanghu, Mencius, and Ziqin Zhang said to each other: "Who can be with nothing, and from nothing; Who can climb to the sky and swim in the fog, scratch and provoke, forget each other to live, and end up with nothing! The three of them looked at each other and smiled, not against their hearts, so they became friends.
The third example is the Taoist view of life and death, the view of life and death after attaining enlightenment.
Meng Sun didn't know why he was born, and he didn't know why he died. If you don't know, you will come first, and if you don't know, you will follow. If it is turned into a thing, it will be transformed into what it does not know. And the party will be transformed, and the evil will not be resolved? Will the party not be dissolved, and the evil knowledge has been dissolved?
The fourth example is the difference between the preacher's way of dealing with the world and the worldly way of dealing with the world.
Yi Erzi said: "Yao said me: you will bow to benevolence and righteousness and speak clearly about right and wrong." ”
Xu You said: "And Xi Lai? Fu Yao has already dismissed you with benevolence and righteousness, and you have taken right and wrong. Why will you wander away and wander around? ”
The world restricts the freedom of human nature with benevolence, righteousness, right and wrong. Taoism, on the other hand, transcends the shackles of the world and looks at life from the height and realm of the Tao.
The fifth example is to sit and forget, only by forgetting the worldly things and reconstructing the outlook on life, can we have a leisurely journey.
The sixth and final example is fate.
In fact! It's not about fate, but there is a very important thing hidden in it. As described in "The Emperor's New Clothes", no one who understands the Tao or thoroughly understands the philosophy of Zhuangzi cannot see it.
Zhuangzi's emphasis on fate is one reason, and it also implies another deeper intention.
That's how people help each other.
Ziyu and Zi Sanyou.
But Zisang's fate is not good, he is not lazy and hard-working, but he is tormented by illness and misfortune and cannot survive. If he were to follow the worldly rules of existence, he would surely die. But he has a good Taoist friend, and at the critical moment, this Taoist friend named Ziyu helped him, allowing him to live comfortably, and the two of them survived together.
Although life is a process of life, Taoism pursues natural life and natural death, and tries to live to the end of life. A halfway life is an incomplete life, so! Don't give up life easily.
Taoism is reborn, not suicide!
But real life and fate often force others to live, making life very painful. What are the root causes? The root cause is that too many people live in ignorance, oppressing the living space of others and bringing suffering to the lives of others.
And Taoism! Outside of chasing fame and fortune, they have more time, energy, and material resources to help others. Therefore! The unfortunate Zisang can live.
