Chapter 1032: Why is the Buddha Land Different (3)
"All the Dharmas are the same", because there is only one body, and the form is different. For example, there are many different lights in this room, and although they have different appearances and luminosities, the power supply is one.
The Buddhas and Bodhisattvas have all kinds of different forms in order to achieve the pure Buddha land of sentient beings, but the results of the path they have attained are the same, that is, the various achievements of the color body, the power and the caste all the way down to the above.
Do you want to know if you're enlightened? You can simply quizz, have you turned in the flesh? Has the physiognomy changed? Have the precepts, concentration, wisdom, liberation, and liberation knowledge been accomplished? Do you have all the ten powers and four fearlessness of the Buddha?
Do you know the eighteen common laws? To what extent does compassion develop?
What is the state of prestige?
Are you sure about your lifespan?
Is it possible to argue the law, and it does not hinder the freedom of the law?
Can you achieve the land of pure Buddhahood for all sentient beings?
It's all a test of yourself.
If you say that you have not yet become a Buddha, then it is also a good measure to test your practice by taking one billionth of the Buddha's achievements. In this way, I will not be arrogant, and I can understand that there is still a long way to go.
"That's why it's called the Three Buddhas, the name is Tata Agadu, and the name is the Buddha." All three names are transliterations of Sanskrit. There are ten names for people who have become Buddhas, for example, we often see "World-Honored" in the scriptures, which is one of the titles (the ten names of the Buddha are: Rulai, Offering, Righteous Knowledge, Enlightened Action, Good Death, Worldly Solution, Supreme Master, Tempering Husband, Heavenly Teacher, Buddha), this sutra only mentions three key points in the ten names.
"Three Buddhas" is the right knowledge, when you realize the emptiness of nature, wisdom will naturally come, and you will know everything.
Like the six ancestors who were illiterate, they listened to others recite the "Diamond Sutra", and they were a little enlightened at the beginning, but they were not yet fully enlightened. When he went to see the five ancestors, the five ancestors deliberately scolded him for being a fang, which means that the Nanban is an uneducated person.
The Sixth Patriarch said to the Fifth Patriarch that "the disciple always has wisdom in his own heart", and he didn't think about the problem, but he would develop it himself.
The wisdom of eternal life is still ordinary, and when it reaches the realm of Buddhahood, it will realize a thousand enlightenments, and one hundred understandings, which is the right knowledge, the three Buddhas. If your cultivation skills improve a little, your wisdom will develop a little; If the more you cultivate, the more stupid you become to the worldly Fa, and your brain becomes made of cement, then you are absolutely wrong.
The Chinese word for "Dota Agadu" is as if to come, to go and not to come, not to live or to die.
"Buddha" means Buddha, which means enlightenment. In terms of the explanation of the teachings, realization, awareness of others, and realization of the perfection of action are called Buddhas.
In ordinary words, enlightenment is wakefulness, and the Buddha is always awake, without drowsiness or distraction.
A colleague had a car accident half a year ago and has not been able to sleep since, but his mind is still clear and he is not tired. He was in a hurry. I told him, "What's the hurry, you live another sixty years to give us one hundred and twenty years." Wanting to sleep is a habit, and if a cultivator has enough concentration, he can not sleep, and the so-called "if the eyes are not sleepy, the dreams will be eliminated." If the heart is not different, all laws are the same. I have said this sentence many times, but so-and-so still can't write it, which means that he is sleeping.
We ordinary people don't sleep until we are in bed, and when we don't sleep, our brains are all faint, in a drowsy.
Your mind can not be distinguished, and if you don't think about it, all laws will be the same. This is the famous saying of the Three Patriarchs' "Faith Inscription", which is the realm of enlightenment.
People who have become Buddhas have clear minds, and some people meditate and see something strange because their brains are nonsense. When you are dark, you will have a realm, and when you are awake, you will not have a realm. Many people regard the realm of darkness (called the realm of solitary shadow or the realm of quality in consciousness) as supernatural powers, but in fact he has become a "paste", not a Buddha. If you wait for decades to see what he will receive, it must be miserable. So the Dharma is plain, that is, truly sober.
"Romance of the Three Kingdoms" wrote that Liu Bei looked at the thatched house three times, and the third time he met Zhuge Liang sleeping, he stood and waited for Zhuge Liang to wake up.
Of course, Zhuge Liang knew that Liu Bei was coming, but he just pretended to be asleep to test his sincerity.
Confucius once was at home, a person called Ru Bei to see him, Confucius asked the students to say to Ru Bei, the teacher was sick and did not see the guests, when the Lu Bei went out, Confucius played the piano in the house, deliberately let the Lu Bei hear, this is to embarrass people, saying that he is too sick to see the guests, but he is obviously playing the piano.
Zhuge Liang was a little better at Liu Bei, Zhuge Liang deliberately turned over, pretended to be awake, and recited a poem "Who has a big dream first, I know it in my life." ”
These two sentences are the literature that has been transformed from Buddhist thought, and to become a Buddha is to wake up from the big dream of life, how about the person who wakes up?
If a person drinks water, he knows whether he is warm or cold.
The next two lines of Zhuge Liang's poem are "The grass hall sleeps enough in spring, and the day outside the window is late." It means that this sleep is comfortable, leisurely, where is he sleeping, in fact, he is very awake.
In this paragraph of the Vimala Sutra, the Buddha first introduced what is the Buddha, of course, knocking on the wooden fish and chanting the sutra is also a kind of Buddha, the real Buddha is what has just been said in this sutra, and then this sentence talks about what is the Buddha. He then talked about what the Pure Land of the Buddha is.
