Chapter 4: The First Evolution
The lizards are different in color from the Gran, but are very similar in size.
It also has a desire to survive and is constantly struggling in the mouth of the little pterodactyl.
But the little pterodactyl's beak firmly bit the lizard, and the lizard's meager strength could not compete at all.
Gran looked frightened, because of the resemblance, he imagined the lizard as himself.
So he hoped that the lizard would break free and save his life.
The lizard broke free more and more, and the scales were rubbed off by the pterodactyl's beak and blood.
But he still can't escape the control of the little pterodactyl.
Then, the little pterosaur made an unexpected move, it let go of its mouth and lowered the lizard to the ground.
The lizard immediately limped and crawled, trying to get out of the place.
Gran was in a much better mood when he saw this, even though he didn't know why the little pterosaur did it.
Is it mercy? Not.
The little pterosaur didn't let the lizard go.
It stabbed the lizard's body with its sharp beak, pecking it in half in a single blow.
Gran was stunned, he felt the same way, and he imagined a tearing pain in his body.
The pterosaur then attacked the lizard, pecking it into several pieces of flesh and swallowing it.
The lizard disappeared from this world.
Gran felt that if it were him, he would be easily pecked by the little pterosaur.
The sharp beak could break through the scales and peck it out of a bloody hole.
He felt that if he was no longer stronger, he would sooner or later become food for predators, like insects in his hands.
Glen didn't even dare to dig a hole, for fear that the movement would attract the attention of the little pterodactyl.
He hid unusually calmly in the grass until the little pterosaur disappeared without a trace.
After that, he continued to look for insects, but his main goal changed from filling his stomach to earning points.
At the moment, Gran just wants to 'evolve' and become stronger.
.
Gran was busy until dark with a mental burden, and only got 8 evolution points, and the number of times he repeated eating some foods had reached the limit, so he couldn't continue to earn points.
Gran wasn't much to lose, and he didn't expect to get much of it.
Yesterday I got 21 points, and today I got 17 points, for a total of 38 evolution points.
After deducting the 10 points required for evolution, you can draw the talent pool 5 times.
These 5 chances... What does it bring?
The interface of the talent pool appeared in front of Gran's eyes, and even though he didn't have any good impression of the talent pool, he still had something to look forward to in his heart.
Use the 1st draw.
The talent pool flashes with inferior special effects, giving Gran his first talent in his life... Tenacity.
N-level talent, minimum rarity.
Sure enough, how could something good happen to him at the first shot.
The second and third rounds are also n-level talents, which are foul odor and fire resistance.
The fourth shot is an R-level talent, understanding.
Gran couldn't understand what this comprehension talent was for.
As luck would have it, Gran's favorability for the talent pool had dropped a lot.
It seems that he heard Gran's complaints, and an SR-level talent, Dragon Language, appeared in the light pollution effect of the talent pool.
The 25 evolution points he had earned were used up like this, and Gran had mixed feelings.
He comforted himself that if he could show SR talent, it would be lucky.
Then I thought about how to use these talents, tenacity and fire resistance must be talents that enhance defense.
The dragon language is probably a talent for speaking dragon languages, and he will definitely use it anyway for the sake of rarity.
And then there is understanding... Just use it to see what you can understand.
Finally, there is the n-level talent stench, and the effect is unimaginable.
After weighing it, he decided not to use this talent, in case the effect was uncontrollable, it would be a big problem.
Even with the idea that the system won't harm the host... Gran doesn't trust this system of cutting corners, and maybe it will sell the host one day.
Pack the talents outside of the stench into an empty talent slot, dig the crypt bigger and stronger, and decide to start evolving.
Gran looked up at the stars in the night sky and had a lot of thoughts.
Then he didn't hesitate anymore and clicked the 'Evolve' button in the system, no longer giving himself a chance to hesitate.
And then
Gran's consciousness was blurred.
Just like when I was in the egg, I couldn't concentrate, but at the time it was because of comfort, and this time because of pain.
The heat was burning all over his body, and something was tearing his muscles apart, severing his nerves, steaming his blood, and crushing his bones.
As if to wipe him out of this world, Gran had never experienced such pain, but he could not even moan, only to bear it in silence.
Thankfully, there was an end to the pain, and it was only when Gran could start trying to think that the pain would slowly wane.
The first evolution is over, and Gran can only feel tired and hungry and... Crowded.
After evolving, his body became much larger, filling the entire crypt to the brim, all four claws embedded in the dirt, and only half of his body was exposed, almost buried alive.
Fortunately, my nose was not buried in the mud and I could breathe air, otherwise I would have suffocated to death.
It took a lot of effort to break free from the crypt, and Gran was glad she was able to climb out.
Next time, I'll have to dig a huge pit that is both hidden and can stuff dozens of of my own, Gran planned.
Rub your face against the grass next to the crypt and wipe the mud off your eyes, so you can finally see the outside world again.
It seemed to be morning, and the grass that had been taller than him had become dwarfed, and the trees were still tall, but not as thick as they had been remembered.
Gran looked at his current body, which was more than a meter long, and half a meter if he didn't count the tail, which was four or five times longer than before evolution.
The sharp claws of the forelimbs are sharper, the muscles are full of power, and the brownish-black scales become smooth and thick, shining in the sun.
Open the system panel, the first page status bar.
Name: Glenn
Talents: Dragon's Blood (Thin), Tenacity, Fire Resistance, Understanding, Dragon Language
Evolution points: 3 points
The concentration of dragon's blood has become thinner, and it appears to have increased with evolution.
On the second page of the evolution tree, there was originally only one lizard silhouette, but now there is another lizard silhouette next to this silhouette, with limbs that look stronger than the former, and a bulge on the head.
You can't see anything just by looking at the silhouette, and you still need to find a lake to use as a mirror.
On top of that, he was thirsty, hungry and tired now, and decided to take a break and start foraging.
Gran guesses that this will be the case every time he evolves, so he needs to prepare water and food in advance to get through this period safely.
Gran was looking for food in the woods, and he felt uneasy.
Originally, the brown and black scales were not suitable for the environment of this forest, but now that he has grown larger, there is no grass to cover him, making it difficult for him to hide his position.
Sure enough, it still shouldn't have evolved, and Gran began to regret it as she had expected.
In the morning, Glenn could only find a few insects, and there was no way to fill his current stomach.
A hungry Gran stared at the bark around him, and began to find the woody scent of the bark very enticing.
He tore off a piece of bark with his claws, made it into small pieces, and stuffed it into his mouth.
It's hard and dry, it's hard to eat, and you can't satisfy your hunger, you still have to starve.
Gran was so powerless that he didn't want to complain, so he made a decision to rest until the night and come back to forage for food, and become a nocturnal animal.
.
In the dark night, two waning moons hung in the night sky.
A bird rested on a branch, and a dark shadow slowly climbed up the trunk and approached the bird.
The stupid bird didn't notice that a greedy creature was eyeing it, and it was only when the shadow climbed as high as the bird that it sensed the danger.
Just as it was about to fly away, it was too late, and the shadow pounced on the bird and grabbed it with its beak.
Gran quickly slit the throat of his prey, ending its life cleanly, without letting it struggle uselessly.
He was overjoyed with the hot fresh blood flowing into Gran's mouth.
After working for hours against hunger, I finally came across a bird that was not very clever.
Gran cautiously observes his surroundings and, when he feels safe, begins to feast on his prey.
He was really hungry, and tore off the feathered bird's flesh and swallowed it into his stomach, and it was definitely better than not having anything to eat at all.
Swiftly devoured the remaining flesh until there was only a small puddle of blood on the meadow, and not even the bird's bones remained.
He stared intently at the blood on the grass and thought, "I can't waste it." ”
Sticking out his tongue and licking the blood, and licking the dirt into his mouth, Gran sensed that something was wrong and immediately spit it out.
He admonished himself: You still have to control your desires, at least keep your head clear.
The bird temporarily relieved Gran's hunger, earning 5 evolution points.
Without waiting for digestion to finish his search for the next meal, the bird could not satisfy his appetite
Relying on good night vision, Gran forages in the forest at night.
There was no scorching sun, just a cool breeze, and he felt very comfortable.
A smell wafted into Gran's nasal passages,
Very subtle flavor that immediately dissipates in the wind.
He thought the smell was familiar, a slightly rotting smell of flesh.
