Chapter 341: The True Man Who Broke the Realm
Hearing this, Xie Baoshu admired him very much.
Because not everyone can give up their real name. The real person who carries water is on Wudang Mountain, and after carrying water for so many years, his mood has already calmed down. The name or something, in his eyes, is not worth mentioning.
The real person who carried the water muttered: "Between heaven and earth, life is one with heaven and earth, heaven and earth, and natural things. Life is also a natural thing, and everyone has changes in youth, youth, strength, and age, just as heaven and earth have the alternation of spring, summer, autumn, and winter, what is the sadness?"
"If you are born in nature, you will die in nature, and if you let it be natural, your nature will not be chaotic; Fame is in the heart, creating anxiety. The desire for profit stays in the heart, and the feelings of troubles increase. ”
Wei Tuo Bodhisattva's eyes changed: "It seems that your Dao Sect really doesn't care about you?"
The real person who carries the water doesn't take it to heart at all, and there is no immortal in the world who doesn't read. All Taoist patriarchs are diligent and studious, and they have become holy. When he was carrying water on Wudang Mountain, he still read a lot. Every day when he recited the Three Refuges, he would mention the "Refuge Sutra": "The supreme sutra treasure should wish all sentient beings, and in all lifetimes, they will hear the Dharma." ”
The patriarch's Dharma is in the Tao Sutra, so studying the Tao Sutra is indeed conducive to cultivation. However, just studying and not doing it is not helpful for spiritual practice. He cultivates and can be indifferent to fame and fortune.
The name of a real person is just a must-have.
When it comes to the school of Taoism, many people may not have much understanding of it. In people's impressions, the most direct understanding of it is probably that it is a major religious school in China.
The Taoist gate in the history of the Tang Dynasty is based on Taoist doctrine, emphasizing immortality and drawing talismans to exorcise ghosts.
After the establishment of the Daomen, Lao Tzu was respected as the leader of the sect and obeyed the Tao and virtue. Therefore, some scholars said: "Confucianism fears the destiny of heaven, self-cultivation in order to achieve it; the Buddha also says that the root of this body is transformed, the karma cannot be escaped, and the end of life is endless, Taoism only wants to live forever, and the changes are soaring, and he does not believe in the mandate of heaven, does not believe in the karmic fruits, and resists nature, how brave is it!"
Most of the Taoist priests' lives are relatively simple, so this has also caused a certain misunderstanding that if you want to cultivate the right path, you must abandon all kinds of material pursuits.
In fact, this is a very wrong idea.
Taoism is a religious school that pursues the salvation of the world and the improvement of self-cultivation. In the eyes of Taoist believers, the origin of the Great Dao is the root of all things, and they follow the two natural laws of "Tao" and "Virtue". Moreover, on the basis of this provision, the natural laws of the five elements of yin and yang are used to achieve good fortune and avoid evil, complete the harmony of individual life and society, and thus achieve the highest pursuit of eternal life.
First of all, the disciples of the Daomen seek stability and happiness in this world, not only for physical health, but also for spiritual health. Secondly, there are other ultimate pursuits such as longevity and eternal life, as well as attainment of immortality.
Another misconception that people have about Taoist practice is that Taoist disciples must follow all kinds of rules and precepts, and they must abstain from sex, meat, and alcohol and meat, just like Buddhist disciples. They must be pure in heart and few desires, and thus,
In order to achieve the purpose of self-cultivation.
However, in fact, Taoism affirms reasonable human desires, including the pursuit of wealth, marriage, heirs, and other aspects that are conducive to social development and stability. At the same time, it is also a school of thought and religion that does not seek mere spiritual liberation. In the process of personal practice, they emphasize practical practice, that is, they are based on the maintenance of the body and their own essence, and they oppose excessive torture and destruction of the body and mind in the process of practice.
It's the same with the real person who carries water, he is a person with desires.
His current desire is to beat the Bodhisattva in front of him.
Then rescue Xie Baoshu and take him to the Two Realms Mountain.
Due to long-term historical factors and the invasion of various foreign cultures, the current people's inheritance and understanding of Taoism have a certain deviation. In the process of cultivation, many Taoist disciples have shown excessive tendencies of pursuing "asceticism" and "asceticism".
In fact, the main purpose of Taoist practice is to be physically and mentally well-being, and in essence, practice is to make all living beings have a better life. The so-called "better life" includes the harmony and perfection of both physical and spiritual aspects.
What the real people who carry water understand is the "pure and non-action" idea of Taoism.
From birth to death, three-tenths of people survive and three-tenths die in the middle. Three-in-10 people also face regular death threats. Why, because people are afraid of death. A person who is good at maintenance will not encounter the threat of a tiger when walking on land, and will not be wounded by a sword or spear in war, although the tiger is fierce, its horns cannot be used, although the tiger is fierce, its claws cannot be used, and although the sword is sharp, its blade cannot be used.
What is the reason for that? Because he didn't go where there was a threat of death.
It is instinct for people to seek advantages and avoid disadvantages, and the same is true for Lao Tzu's words. It is okay to seek profits, but it is also possible to avoid harm. The crux of the matter is that some people seek profit because of greed and avoid harm because they are not courageous.
In the sea of desire, people are inevitably affected by various desires, extravagances, emotions, etc. And the generation of these desires and indulgent behaviors will have a serious impact on one's body, mind and society.
Therefore, for those who cultivate the Tao and believe in the Tao, these desires are the great demons, and they are the stumbling blocks to the cultivation of the truth, if they are not swept away immediately, it will be difficult to calm the body and mind, and the Tao will come true.
The full name of the "Qingjing Sutra" is "Taishang Laojun Says Changqing Jingjing". This sutra is very thorough about the cultivation of the mind and enlightenment in Taoism, and it can be said to be a good supplement to the Tao Te Ching.
The sutra describes the cultivation of the mind as follows: "The heart is quiet, and it wants to be drawn to it." People are clear, but their hearts are disturbed. He can always send his desires and calm his heart. Clear their hearts, and their minds are clear. Naturally, the six desires are not born, and the three poisons are eliminated. Therefore, those who can't do it are not clear in their hearts, and their desires are not sent. ”
It can be seen that as long as you can clear your heart, you can naturally be quiet. The sutra describes the consequences of not cultivating the mind as follows: "Those who do not possess the true path are delusional. If you have a delusional heart, you will be shocked.
and astonished the gods, that is, all things;
All things are born of greed, greed is affliction, delusion of afflictions, and suffering of the body and mind. He was humiliated, wandered and died, often sinking into the sea of suffering, and never lost his truth. It can be seen that if the mind is not cultivated, it will be like a wasteland, which will be overgrown and incorrigible if no one cultivates it for a long time.
When the real person is in Wudang Mountain, no matter what happens, no matter what kind of environment, he can do not have the slightest distraction in his heart, and he is always quiet. Every day, every month, every year. And maintaining truth and tranquility for many years is the accumulation of merit and hard work in practice.
This kind of truth and tranquility is difficult to achieve for ordinary people in society, even for people in the Taoist circles and lovers of Taoist culture. No matter what kung fu you practice or how long you practice, you are an outsider who has no entry, and you can't enter the Tao at all, let alone comprehend the true meaning of "pure and quiet".
For the general public, although there are differences between people, the body and mind are roughly the same. There is not much difference between what you think, what you think, and what you feel. If you speculate about Taoist things with a thoughtful heart, it is obvious that outsiders speculate on the situation inside the door, and it will never be possible to figure it out. And the people who enter are the real and quiet people. The mind of anxiety has been removed, and there is no such thing as speculation. Therefore, the separation of one door is really two worlds.
Therefore, the door of entry is not a visible door, not a visible door, but an invisible door. Everything outside the door is worldly, and everything inside the door is quiet. This gate can be called the "Gate of Tranquility".
There is a saying in Daomen, "The heart of the heart is dead, and the heart of the Tao is alive". To enter the Tao does not mean to put on Taoist clothes and practice kung fu. Entering the Tao means that the heart of the person is dead, and the heart of the Tao is alive, and from then on it enters the "door of tranquility".
The word "Qingjing" is the foundation of Taoism. Many people are anxious to pursue practical results, and this situation can be divided into several categories: one is to pay attention to qi refining and health preservation, the second is to pay attention to supernatural powers, and the third is to accumulate wealth and become famous in the name of cultivation. There is a common problem with these practices of rushing for quick success and quick gain, that is, they despise the cultivation of the mind and ignore the cultivation of the mind.
They don't know the importance of mind training, and they don't know what benefits they can ultimately gain from mind training. When I see a little bit of interest in front of me, I think it is the avenue, and I do not hesitate to pursue it with all my efforts, and I will not regret it until I die.
Throughout the ages, countless seekers have been deluded by these, and they will not be able to enter the gate of the Great Dao after all. With a heart full of utilitarianism and impetuousness, to maintain health, to refine qi, to cultivate Neidan, to channel the gods, to become famous, to collect wealth.
Such an act is far from the Taoist tenet of "quiet and non-action", not only can not enlighten the Tao and educate the society, but on the contrary, the avenue becomes more and more dim and unclear. Don't you know that the Tao Te Ching says: "Happiness and bait, passing by stops."
The exit of the Tao is tasteless, it is not enough to see, it is not enough to hear, and it is impossible to use it. "It's impossible to see immediate results. Everyone can achieve instant tranquility, but few people can do it. It is also impossible to achieve true clarity and tranquility, but not see any tangible effect over the years. After years of pursuing tranquility but without success, it can only show one point, it is not really pure!
There is no clever shortcut to learning the Tao, and the only shortcut is to cultivate the mind. The wonder of learning the Tao does not lie in wealth and fame, but in the fact that through continuous accumulation of merits, the mind becomes gradually stable from manic and uncertain, and gradually realizes the reality in the tranquility from the stability. So my heart became very fulfilling.
Although I didn't get anything, my heart became very full, down-to-earth, and confident. Things outside the heart, such as health, wealth, wealth, fame, and so on, are becoming lighter and lighter in one's heart, and even life and death are put out of the way, and only the heart is quiet and untainted.
But everything outside the heart will eventually leave me, but this heart will never leave me. Don't talk about other external things, just talk about your own body, even if you have a high level of cultivation, there are times when you feel unwell. However, no matter what the circumstances, the mind is always quiet. From the tranquility of my heart, I have found real satisfaction. This is the beauty of learning. Moreover, this mind is quiet, and the body has also changed, and the jade liquid and gold liquid are in it, so why should they covet all kinds of things in society?
When you do it, you will enter the gate of the avenue. Then we can talk about the role of Taoism. The edifying effect of Taoism on society is gradually realized in the process of pursuing tranquility. Because the mind is calm, there are no selfish desires and distractions in the heart, and one's own behavior is naturally correct.
Subtly, your thoughts and actions will have an impact on the people around you and the people around you. There is no need for special preaching, and there is no need to do anything special, just to pursue one's own tranquility, and the effect of educating society will naturally be achieved.
The Tao Te Ching says: "I do nothing, and the people are self-reliant, I am quiet, and the people are upright, I have nothing to do, and the people are rich, I have no desire, and the people are simple." ”
Carrying water is a real person who has been enlightened all his life, and he has carried water all his life, and now he is here, he wants to do something.
It can be seen that as long as you can clear your heart, you can naturally be quiet.
Immortality is the central idea of Taoism, and becoming an immortal must be cultivated. There are many Taoist cultivation techniques, such as taking food, guiding, practicing qi, bigu, storing spirits, chanting, etc., and the most important is alchemy. The Taoist Dan method is divided into Outer Dan and Inner Dan. Wai Dan is smelted in the furnace with minerals such as dansha and realgar to refine it into "Jindan", and it is said that you can become an immortal by taking a small amount of Jindan. Neidan takes the human body as the furnace, essence, qi and spirit as the medicine, and uses the spirit to refine the essence and qi to form the Dan.
As a real person of the Daomen, on weekdays, the real person who carries water reads the "Pure Sutra".
As one of the important classics of Taoism, the main purpose of the scriptures of the "Qingjing Sutra" is deduced from Lao Tzu's theory of "pure and quiet non-action", which is a pure theoretical doctrine and has no mythological color. At the end of the scripture, the immortal Ge Weng, Zuo Xuan Zhenren, and Zhengyi Zhenren are attached.
The content of the scriptures takes "Tao" as the core essence and pure and inaction as the main content, providing a superior method that can calm the body and mind, cleanse the soul and enlighten the mind to those who seek Taoism and Taoism in the world, which is really a rare spiritual text.
The whole text of the "Qingjing Sutra" is about 508 crosses, although the length is short, it is indeed very important in the Taoist disciples, and it is one of the important lessons for the Taoist priests to recite daily. In the Daomen's "Morning Altar Homework Sutra", the "Qingjing Sutra" is the beginning
The first classic shows the importance of the word Qingjing for Taoist cultivation.
Lao Jun said: The avenue is invisible, giving birth to the world, the avenue is ruthless, running the sun and the moon, the avenue is nameless, and all things are nourished for a long time. The Husband: There is clarity and turbidity, movement and stillness, the sky is clear and turbid, and the sky is moving and quiet. Men are clear and women are turbid, men are moving and women are quiet. Reduce the cost to the end, and give birth to all things. The source of turbidity is clear, and the foundation of stillness is moving. People can always be quiet, and heaven and earth will return.
The word practice sounds a bit mysterious, but in the eyes of the real person who carries the water, if you want to talk about practice, it is practiced by living, sitting, and lying down.
Nowadays, most people don't understand what spiritual practice is, they just blindly follow it. I don't know what faith and practice are, but I only know how to recite a few verses of the scriptures and do a few good deeds, so I think that I can get good fortune, and there are even those who are obsessed with sitting at home all day long, thinking that they can get positive results by bowing and burning incense every day!
The so-called first step of cultivation is to understand one's own roots, how to practice, only by choosing a suitable method of cultivation, and only then can you enter the right path, there are three thousand roads, you can always choose a path that suits you to practice, if you only know blindly follow the trend, I am afraid that you will not be able to get the right path in your life!
The so-called red dust practice is to practice in the world. On weekdays, you need to work to solve your livelihood problems, and then you need to cultivate your mind, practice, do good deeds, and give alms as your main way of practice. However, because of the mundane affairs, there are more tribulations and ups and downs in the practice. However, because cultivating in the red dust requires facing all sentient beings, if you practice the Fa, you will also have immeasurable merits.
But at the beginning of the practice, it is best to take refuge in the Taoist master in order to obtain the lineage of the teacher, such as the lineage of the Dharma, because since ancient times, those who have attained the truth of the Tao not only need to practice the exercises, but also go to the world to save people in order to attain perfection.
"Fasting must change food, and dwelling must be moved."
This is one of the ideas of the Daomen.
That is, man is both the embodiment of morality and the author of all sins. Therefore, people often vividly describe the watershed between heaven and hell as between the thoughts of "good" and "evil". There is a world of difference in thought, and the motivation is very different. Therefore, righteous people must first act righteously, and righteousness is important in righteousness, and righteousness is in cultivating nature.
As an individual existence in all things, human beings must follow the objective laws of the operation of things, establish the concept of mutual transformation of blessings and disasters and gains and losses, and adhere to the concept of respecting facts, thinking less, not being happy, not being sad, conforming to nature, and not being frightened.
The road to simplicity is the philosophy of Chinese Taoism. In Chinese philosophy, Tao is an important concept that represents "ultimate truth." The simplicity of the road means that the great truth is extremely simple, so simple that it can be explained in one or two sentences. The so-called "true transmission of a sentence, false transmission of ten thousand books".
The good is like water, and the words of the "Tao Te Ching": "The good is like water, the water is good for all things without fighting, and the evil of everyone is better than the Tao." ”
This means that the highest level of good deeds is like the nature of water
, Ze is all things without fighting for fame and fortune, and is in a place that everyone does not pay attention to, so it is the closest to the Tao. In Taoist theory, water is the best and softest, the water is dense and dense, the small is silent, the huge is turbulent, and there is no dispute with people but it contains all things. There is no better way to live than this.
Returning to the basics is the doctrine of Taoism. The purpose of Taoist cultivation is to return life to its original state through one's own practice and cultivation. The original nature of human beings is simple and innocent, which is close to the nature of "Tao", so people often say that children are innocent.
The state of mind of the real person who carried the water made a breakthrough in his realm.
So sensing Xie Baoshu's breath of battle, he rushed over from the Two Realms Mountain.
