Chapter 408: The Great War Is About to Begin (26)

Xie Baoshu didn't know much about the practice methods of Buddhism, but he knew that Buddhism's practice was very difficult.

A long time ago, there were 200 celestial beings in the Heavenly Realm who wanted to cultivate, but unfortunately they all wanted to be opportunistic. Because of the mutual influence of each other, everyone is afraid of the difficulties of the Buddha's path, and is unwilling to work hard to practice the bodhisattva path, and even says: Why do you work so hard to learn the bodhisattva path? Why don't you learn the practice of an arhat or a Buddha and go straight to nirvana!

When Manjushri found out, he thought, "These celestial beings are actually capable of attaining the Bodhisattva's holy path, but they want to retreat because they are afraid of suffering." I have to think of ways to educate them and make them firm in their will to practice.

Thinking of this, Manjushri turned into a Gara traveler and went to Brahma, where the World-Honored One spoke the Dharma, carrying a bowl full of 100 flavors of rice.

He came to the Buddha, respectfully offered a bowl of rice to the Buddha, and said to the Buddha respectfully with his palms together, "World-honored One, you should repay your kindness for this."

What does this mean? Venerable Sariputta, who was standing aside, asked curiously.

When the Buddha finished speaking, he threw the bowl down from Brahma, and the bowl full of rice floated over the land of the Buddhas, and floated far and wide, until it reached a Buddha land called Hui Asha.

The Buddha of the Buddha Land of Hui Asha is called the King of Light, and his attendant saw a bowl stopped in the air and asked in amazement: What is going on?

The King of Light Buddha replied, "This bowl was floated from Shakyamuni Buddha Brahma Brahma in order to save those who are not determined to learn the bodhisattva path and want to retreat."

The attendants listened to the words of the Buddha of the King of Light, and their faith in the Buddha's path became more firm. When the bowl fell from Brahma, it was lost. After a while, the Buddha said to Sariputta, "Go and get the bowl back!"

Sariputta used his wisdom and divine power to search, but he couldn't find it anywhere, so he had to come back disheartened and say to the Buddha, "World-honored one, I didn't find the bowl."

The Buddha turned to Moggallan and said, "Go and get the bowl back!"

Moggallan immediately flew to the Buddhas to look for him, and after a while, he also came back dejected. The Lord asked five hundred Arhats to look for it, but they didn't find it. Maitreya saw that none of the arhats in the heavens could recover the bowl, so he volunteered, but he also returned empty-handed.

The Buddha looked at Manjushri and said, "It's time for you to go."

I saw Manjushri still sitting on his seat, entering the Samadhi Dharma, pointing to the ground with his right hand, and walking through the land of the Buddhas. People clearly saw that Manjushri had hundreds of millions of lights and hundreds of millions of lotus flowers between the hairs on his arms, and on each lotus sat a Bodhisattva, and everyone could not help but admire the merits of the Buddha and the Bodhisattva.

At this time, the World-Honored One released a divine light, illuminating the entire world and illuminating the sand and soil of the Ganges. All celestial beings who see the light of the Buddha have attained the samadhi and have an incomparable belief in the Buddha's path.

At this time, Manjushri saw the bowl and immediately grabbed it with his right hand and went to Brahma with countless bodhisattvas, holding the bowl and offering it to the Buddha.

Let me tell you a story from countless eons ago: Once upon a time, Manjushri was a monk named Huiwang, and he followed the path of a Buddha named Yong Moo. Once, when a bhikshu came to a city with a bowl, he received a bowl of rice and went out of the city.

There was a son of the Venerable One whose name was the King of Li. At that time, the nurse of the king of Liyan was standing at the gate of the city with him in her arms, and when she saw the monk approaching from a distance with a hundred flavors of rice, she ran down from the nurse's arms and chased after the monk for the hundred flavors.

Bhikshu monks, bhikshu monks, give me some Baiwei rice to eat. The Grim King chased after him and shouted.

Immediately King Hui Bhikshu brought out sweet bread for him to eat.

It's so sweet, so fragrant, and so delicious! While eating, the king of Liqi followed the monk Hui Wang and followed the monk to the Buddha's place where he could not defeat the Buddha, and after kowtowing to the Buddha, he sat aside.

Child, you take this bowl of rice and make offerings to the Buddha. King Hui Bhikshu said.

And the king of the defilement did as he was told. Yong Mo can win the Buddha and eat it when he receives the Baiwei rice, and when he is full, the bowl is still full of rice, as if he has never eaten it. The Buddha distributed this bowl of 100 flavors to 84,000 bhikshus and 12,000 bodhisattvas, and they were all full, and the bowl was still full.

When he saw this, he was very happy and said, "Great World-Honored One, this is wonderful!" Then he took the five precepts with the bhikshu of King Hui and initiated the supreme bodhichitta. Just after King Liyan followed King Hui Bhikkhu, his nurse cried and chased after him for a long time, but she couldn't catch up, so she hurried back to tell his parents. The parents of the King of Liyan followed the path to the place where the Buddha was, and after bowing respectfully, they said to the Buddha, "Venerable World-Honored One, my disciple has the honor to meet your mercy, and thanks to your kindness, my son is safe and sound."

When he saw his parents, he said happily, "Father, Mother, I have now received the Bodhisattva Dharma, and I want to become a monk with the Buddha and become a samman."

When the parents heard this, they rejoiced and said, "Son, we are willing to follow you into the Tao."

When the Buddha said this, he paused for a moment and then said to the people, "The Bhikkhu of King Hui is the present Manjushri, and the little King of Dirt is me." For a long time, countless Buddhas in countless Buddha lands, such as me, have initiated their initiation and cultivation because of Manjushri's teachings, in fact, we have all received the kindness of Manjushri!

One day, the Tanshan monk was walking on a muddy path with a friend, and at this time, it was raining heavily.

At a bend they met a pretty girl who could not cross the dirt road because she was dressed in silk and silk ribbons.

"Come on, girl. Tanshan said, and then carried the girl over the dirt road, and after putting it down, he continued on his way.

Along the way, the Taoist friend kept silent, and finally couldn't hold it anymore and asked Tanshan: "We monks are not close to women, especially young and beautiful women, that is very dangerous, why do you do that?"

"What? is that woman?" replied Tanshan, "I have put her down a long time ago, are you still holding her?"

Shakyamuni said at a Dharma meeting: "There was a wealthy businessman in a certain place who had four wives in court: the first wife was clever and lovely, and she was with her all day long, and she never left her, the second wife was snatched and was a great beauty, the third wife was indulged in the trivial things of life, so that she lived a stable life, and the fourth wife worked so hard that her husband forgot that she existed.

"Once, when a merchant was going to travel far away, he decided to choose one of his four wives to accompany him on a long journey. The merchant told his four wives what he thought, and the first one said, 'Go by yourself, I won't accompany you!'

"The second wife said, 'I was robbed by you, and I was not willing to be your wife, so why didn't I go?'

"The third wife said, 'Even though I am your wife, I don't want to suffer from eating and sleeping in the open, so I will send you to the outskirts of the city at most!'

"The fourth wife said, 'Since I am your wife, I will follow you wherever you go.'" ’

"So the merchant took his fourth wife and set out on a journey!"

Finally, Shakyamuni said, "Ladies and gentlemen, who is this merchant? ”

In this story, the first wife refers to the body, which is still separated from her after death, the second wife refers to property, which is not brought with her in life and is not taken away in death, the third wife refers to her own wife, who is dependent on each other when she is alive and will part ways after death, and the fourth wife refers to her own nature, which is often forgotten but always accompanies her.

Yamaoka Tiezhou visited famous teachers everywhere. One day, he met the Duyuan monk of Xiangguo Temple.

In order to show his enlightenment, he said to Duyuan quite proudly: "The mind, the Buddha, and all living beings are empty. The true nature of phenomena is emptiness. There is no enlightenment, no delusion, no holiness, no extraordinary, no giving, no receiving. ”

At that time, Duyuan was smoking and did not answer. But he suddenly raised his cigarette and struck the hill, much to the anger of the young Zen man.

"It's all empty. Duyuan asked, "Where did you get such a big temper?"

A samurai came to Ikyu's room with a fish in his hand. He said, "Let's make a bet, the Zen master said that this fish in my hand is dead or alive?"

Ikyu knew that if he said he was dead, the samurai would let go of his hand, and if he said he was alive, the samurai would secretly pinch the fish to death.

So, Ikyu said, "It's dead." ”

The samurai immediately let go of his hand and said with a smile: "Haha, Zen Master, you lost, you see that this fish is alive." ”

Ikyu smiled faintly and said, "Yes, I lost." ”

Ikyu loses, but he wins a real fish.

One day, a university professor came to him to ask him about Zen, and he only treated him with tea. He poured the tea into the guest's cup until it was full, then continued to pour it again.

The professor watched as the tea overflowed out of the cup until he could no longer be silent, and finally said, "It's already overflowing, don't pour it anymore!"

"You're like this cup. Nan Yin replied, "It's full of your own views and ideas. Why don't you empty your own cup first, so how can I say Zen to you?"

The disciple asked the Buddha, "I can't see what you said about Bliss, so how can I believe it?"

The Buddha took his disciple into a dark room and told him, "There's a hammer in the corner. ”

Whether the disciple stared at him with wide eyes or narrowed his eyes, he still couldn't see his five fingers, so he had to say that I couldn't see.

The Buddha lit a candle, and sure enough, there was a hammer in the corner.

What you can't see, doesn't it exist?

A man went to a temple deep in the mountains to find a Zen master and asked. The Zen master asked, "What are you doing here?"

The man said, "I'm here to practice Buddhism." ”

The Zen master replied, "The Buddha is not bad, you don't need to cultivate, you need to cultivate yourself first." ”

A Zen master was on a journey and met someone who didn't like him. For several days the man tried every means to slander him. Finally, the Zen master turned around and asked the man, "If someone gives you a gift and you refuse to accept it, who does it belong to?"

The man replied, "It belongs to the one who gave the gift." ”

The Zen master smiled and said, "That's right. If I don't accept your abuse, then you're scolding yourself. ”

A samurai asked Zen Master Hakuin. The samurai asked, "What is the difference between heaven and hell?"

Bai Yin asked rhetorically, "Who are you?"

The samurai replied, "I am a samurai. ”

After hearing this, Bai Yin smiled and said, "Even if you are a rude person, you are also worthy of asking me?"

The samurai was furious, drew his sword casually, and slashed at Bai Yin: "Look at me killing you!"

Seeing that the sword was about to fall on Bai Yin's head, Bai Yin said softly without hurrying: "This is hell. ”

The samurai was taken aback, and then quickly discarded his sword, folded his hands, bowed his head and bowed: "Thank you for your guidance, please forgive me for my recklessness just now." ”

Bai Yin said slightly: "This is heaven. ”

Zen Master Ikyu's teacher has a very valuable teacup, which is a rare treasure

。 One day, he inadvertently broke it, and he felt very guilty inside.

But at this moment, he heard the teacher's footsteps and hurriedly hid the broken teacup behind his back. When his teacher came up to him, he suddenly asked, "Why do people have to die?"

"It's a natural thing. His teacher replied, "Everything in the world is born and dies." ”

At this time, Ikyu took out the broken teacup and said, "Your teacup is dead!" After saying that, Ikyu handed over the fragments of the teacup and turned away......

On dog days, the grass in the temple was a large yellow patch, which was ugly. The little monk couldn't look past it, and said to the master, "Master, quickly scatter some seeds!"

Master said, "Don't worry, at any time." ”

When the seeds arrived, the master said to the little monk, "Go and plant them." Unexpectedly, a gust of wind arose, and it scattered a lot and blew away a lot.

The little monk anxiously said to the master, "Master, many kinds of seeds have been blown away. ”

Master said, "It doesn't matter, the purity that is blown away is empty, and it will not sprout if it is sprinkled. ”

Just after sowing the seeds, a few small birds flew in and ate in the soil. The little monk hurried to chase away the birds, and then reported to the master: "Oh no, the seeds have been eaten by the birds." ”

The master said, "What's the hurry, there are so many seeds, you can't finish eating, whatever you want." ”

In the middle of the night, there was a violent storm. The little monk came to the master's room and said to the master with a crying voice, "It's all over, the seeds have been washed away by the rain." ”

The master replied, "Rush it, rush it, and it will sprout wherever you rush, just follow the fate." ”

A few days passed, and a lot of new green grew on the once bare ground, and even small seedlings poked their heads out of the places that had not been sown. The little monk said happily, "Master, come and see, it's all grown." ”

But the master was still as calm as ever, and said, "It should be like this, rejoice." ”

The Buddha Shakyamuni asked his disciples, "How can a drop of water not dry up?"

The disciples couldn't answer.

Shakyamuni said, "Put it into a river, a river, a lake, or the sea." "An old monk has two apprentices, the big monk and the little monk. One day after dinner, the little monk was washing the dishes when he suddenly broke one of the bowls.

The big monk immediately ran to the old monk's meditation room to make a small report: "Master, the junior brother has just broken a bowl. ”

The old monk twisted the Buddha beads in his hand, closed his eyes slightly, and said, "I believe you will never break the bowl!"

One person goes to the temple to pay homage to Guanyin Bodhisattva. After a few kowtows, this person suddenly found that a person next to him was also worshipping, and his appearance was exactly the same as that of Guanyin Bodhisattva on the altar. The person was puzzled and asked softly, "Are you Guanyin Bodhisattva?"

The man replied, "Yes." ”

The man was even more confused and asked, "Then why do you want to worship yourself?"

Guanyin replied, "Because I know that it is better to ask for others than for yourself." ”

One night, when he returned to his hut after a walk on the forest path in the bright moonlight, a Zen master who practiced in the mountains was greeted by a thief, who was afraid of alarming the thief and waited for him at the door......

The thief could not find anything of value, and when he turned to leave, he met the Zen master, and when he was panicking, the Zen master said, "You have come all the way to visit me, but you must not let you go back empty-handed!" ”

After saying that, the Zen master put his clothes on the thief, and the thief was at a loss for what to do, and slipped away with his head down.

The Zen master looked at the thief's back and said with emotion: "Poor man, I wish I could send you a bright moon!"

The next day, when the warm sun shone on the hut, the Zen master pushed open the door and saw that the coat that had been draped over the thief the previous night was neatly folded in the doorway. The Zen master was very happy and muttered, "I finally gave him a round of bright moon ......"

One day, when Master Wude was hoeing grass in the courtyard, three believers came up to him and saluted him, saying, "People say that Buddhism can relieve the pain of life, but we believe in Buddhism for many years, but we don't feel happy, what is going on?"

Zen Master Wude put down his hoe, looked at them serenely and said, "It is not difficult to be happy, you must first understand why you are alive." ”

The three devotees, you look at me, I look at you, and they didn't expect that the Wude Zen Master would ask them questions.

After a while, A said, "Man must not die, death is terrible, so man must live." ”

B said, "I am working hard now so that when I am old, I can enjoy a life full of food and a full house of children and grandchildren." ”

C said, "I don't have as much hope as you have. I must live, or who will feed the family?"

Zen Master Wude smiled and said, "No wonder you don't get happiness, all you think about is death, old age, and forced labor, not ideals, beliefs, and responsibilities. Of course, life without ideals, beliefs, and responsibilities is very tiring and tiring. ”

The believers said disapprerovingly: "It is easy to talk about ideals, beliefs, and responsibilities, but you can't eat them as food!"

Zen Master Wude said, "Then what do you say you can be happy?"

A said, "With fame, there is everything, and you can be happy." ”

B said, "With love, there is happiness." ”

C said, "If you have money, you can be happy." ”

Zen Master Wude said, "Then let me ask a question: Why do some people have fame but are very troubled, love but very painful, and money but very worried?"

The believers were speechless.

Hanshan asked: "There are people in the world who slander me, bully me, insult me, laugh at me, despise me, despise me, and lie to me, how to deal with it?"

He said: "Bear with him, let him, avoid him, let him, bear with him, respect him, ignore him, and you will see him in a few years." ”

One day, Su Dongpo went to the Buddha Yin Zen Master to chat with the Buddha Yin Zen Master, and both of them sat cross-legged. When talking about happiness, Su Dongpo asked Zen Master Foyin: "What do you think I look like now?"

Zen Master Buddha Yin said, "I see you like a Buddha. ”

Su Dongpo smiled and said to Zen Master Foyin: "I see you like a pile of cow." ”

Zen Master Foyin smiled and didn't say anything.

Su Dongpo thought he had won, and after returning home, he complacently talked about it with his sister Su Xiaomei.

His sister said, "Brother, you have lost! The mind of a Zen master is like a Buddha, so I look at you like a Buddha, and your mind is like a pile of cow, and of course I look at a Zen master like a pile of cow." ”

After hearing this, Su Dongpo's face immediately turned red.

Shenxiu said: "The body is like a Bodhi tree, the heart is like a mirror platform; ”

Hui Nengyun: "Bodhi is not a tree, and the mirror is not a platform;

The Longtan Zen master of the Tang Dynasty, he was very poor when he was a young man and did not leave home, and he made a living by selling cakes and had nowhere to live, so the Taoist Zen Master lent him the small house next to the temple to live. In order to show his gratitude, he sent ten cakes to Zen Master Daowu every day, and Daowu always gave one back to Longtan, and blessed him and said, "This is for you, I wish your descendants prosperity!"

He was really puzzled, and one day he asked why, but Daowu said, "What is wrong with you sending it, and I sending it to you?"

After hearing this, Long Tan became enlightened and became a monk, and later became a generation of grandmasters.

If you want to be good for me, you should give back, and if you want me to be good, you will win, and you will win. This great blessing is also the ultimate principle of life.

In that life, he was a generation of high monks.

On the Yandang Mountain, which has the reputation of "the first mountain in the southeast", the breeze and the moon are clear, the strange peaks and strange stones are observed, the ancient cave stone room is lived, and the three studies are six degrees. For thousands of years, Yanshan Mountain is still there, and the shadow of the monk under the ancient Buddha of the green lantern is like a sea of clouds, and it has disappeared. The footprints that can't be carved on the mountain stones, the past that the floating clouds can't keep, in the great karma, bit by bit, has always been vivid, not at all.

The first generation of monks, also because of the ignorance of a thought, after all, still circulates the Three Realms, just like the autumn geese perched in the canopy in the wild goose mountain, year after year, back and forth, never stopped.

In this way, a generation of monks, on the long road of reincarnation, began to deduce a different fate......

One night, a woman suddenly dreamed of a burly monk who came to her door and said, "I have a relationship with your mansion and want to borrow it for a night." The woman happily agreed in her dream, and asked, "Where does the master come from?" and the monk said that it was "the spiritual peak of Yandang Mountain in Wenzhou".

She became pregnant that night. After conceiving in October, a baby was born. The reincarnation of a generation of Yandang monks has begun. In this life, because of the good fortune of his practice, he became a minister of power to the government and the opposition - Qin Hui. However, in this life, he has long forgotten the ascetic asceticism of his previous life. And because he is high above the temple, has the right of life and death, covets the glory and wealth of the world, and cannot extricate himself, the cause of learning Buddhism in the past has also been annihilated by these fame and fortune, creating countless bad karma.

He was full of lust for power, jealous of the virtuous and jealous, and during the decades he was in power, he was demoted to prison and exiled. For the sake of personal fame and fortune, he completely disregarded his family and country, and even in the era of turmoil and turmoil, he did not hesitate to frame loyal ministers and wrongfully beheaded Yue Fei's father and son in the Storm Pavilion.

Jizo Bodhisattva has compassion for sinners and sufferings, and cannot bear to fall into hell and suffer endless suffering, and makes a great vow that "hell is not empty, and he will not become a Buddha". In order to save such unbearable sentient beings, the World-Honored One entrusted all ordinary beings in the future to Jizo Bodhisattva:

In the future, if someone only plants a tiny root of goodness in the Dharma, even if it is only a hair, a drop of dust, or a drop of sand, Jizo Bodhisattva will use his divine power to protect him, so that he will not lose his kindness.

In the future, if someone is supposed to go to hell because of his sinful karma, if he can recite the name of a Buddha or a bodhisattva, or if he can say a Buddhist scripture, the Jizo Bodhisattva will also use his divine power to save him, make him boundless, destroy the hell for him, and give him a human life.

Jizo Bodhisattva saw that a generation of high monks had fallen into evil-creating people, and the fire of hell had been at the feet of Qin Hui.

Therefore, the Bodhisattva of Jizo decided to go to the Temper of Qin Hui, as long as he could pronounce the word "Buddha", he would be exempted from the suffering of hell. Jizo Bodhisattva manifested himself as a monk with supernatural powers, came to Qinjuni's house, and said to him, "You are now in a high position of power and have created so much karma, if you continue like this, you will go to hell and suffer in the future, and from now on, you should recite the Buddha well."

Qin Hui ignored it completely, and said directly: "I don't read it, what are you doing by reading this!" Jizo Bodhisattva's original intention was to let Qin Hui say the word "Buddha", however, Qin Hui just replied with disdain, "I don't read it, why do you read this", instead of saying "I don't read Buddha". The word "Buddha" is so difficult to say.

Jizo Bodhisattva is in a hurry - this will not work, let's change the method. He waved the dust to make Qin Hui kneel, and then wrote a big "Buddha" character on his palm with supernatural powers, and asked Qin Hui: "What is this word?

When the word "Buddha" is pronounced, the purpose of the Bodhisattva of the Earth has been achieved.

However, Qin Hui, who was hindered by ignorance, just didn't read it, not only did he not read it, but he also explained at length: "Why do you despise me so much and despise me so much, do you know? All national documents are now subject to my review. If you don't even know this word, then what kind of prime minister should I be? I know this word, but I won't read it to you. ”

After so many theories, he just didn't recite the word "Buddha" that could transform him! Looking at such a strong and difficult being, Jizo Bodhisattva could only sigh and leave helplessly.

Since we have been born and born, how can it not be like this, the Buddhas have come to transform us again and again, but we who have deep karma just can't pronounce the word "Buddha". Therefore, the 1,04 Buddhas can only leave us helplessly.

Nowadays, we can recite this phrase, "Nan Wu Amitabha Buddha," although we only babble like a child's babbling language, and we don't know the meaning of it, but what an incredible thing! Amitabha Buddha has never left it, and all the Buddhas have always been with each other to protect each other, and only then can we gently say it.

After the Jizo Bodhisattva left, Qin Hui still chose to continue to sink in the sea of eunuchs. Perhaps because of the good roots planted by studying Buddhism in his previous life, or perhaps because of the skillfulness of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, there is a silent scene that occasionally appears in his dreams, real and ethereal.

The realm of dreams is peaceful, without the high danger of temples and the dangers of rivers and lakes. Qin Hui in the dream, only in a bright cave, meditating quietly, the five hundred Arhats in the cave, lifelike, seemed to accompany him and encourage him. A dream is a dream after all, and after waking up from a dream, Qin Hui still doesn't know where it is real, where it is a dream, or whether it is up and down in fame and fortune.

Until one year, he passed through the first mountain in the southeast, and naturally wanted to feel the strange and precipitous and magnificent Yandang. When he walked to the most elite spiritual peak of Yandang and entered a cave of five hundred Arhats, his heart was shocked - every scene and object in the cave was completely the same as a dream, just like a tired bird returning to the forest and a wanderer returning home.

Looking at everything familiar and incredible in the cave, and remembering the dream that his mother had told him when he was a child, he realized that before he was born, there was a Yandang monk who came to enter his mother's dream, and he dreamed of meditating in the cave in the past, all of which were heralding that he was the reincarnation of a Yandang monk.

The past is suddenly clear, and on the rock wall of the cave, a quatrain is inscribed: The stone room in the dream is still the same, and the eunuch has been traveling for 20 years.

Qin Hui, who has been wandering in the sea for more than 20 years, has the heart of breaking off the fate of the world again, and also wants to obey the teachings of Buddhism. It's just that such a heart is like painting water in fame and fortune, and when the karmic wind blows gently, it disappears without a trace.

The high monks who had forgotten their previous lives did not accept the painstaking persuasion of Jizo Bodhisattva in the fame and fortune of their first life, nor did they embark on the path of Bodhi liberation again because of the memories of their previous lives. In this life, he still did not get freed, but became even more degenerate, leaving behind infamy through the ages.

Zhu Xi said: "Qin Hui's sin is so high to the sky, and ten thousand deaths are not enough to redeem it." ”

A great sage also said: "Clever words, flattering the people, stealing the authority of the country, and poisoning the people." "The people hate Qin Hui even more.

At that time, some people rubbed the noodles shaped like Qin Hui and his wife, put them in the oil pot together, and called it "fried juniper".

People drown in front of the tomb of Qin Hui to express their happiness, which is called "the stinking mound". There is a poem that says: "The grave of the Taishi is on the soil, and the stench is all over the world." Later generations cast an iron statue of Qin Hui and his wife, knelt in front of Yue Fei's grave, and drowned on the iron statue. Later, a Zhejiang governor surnamed Qin thought that it was inappropriate to defile Yue Fei's tomb in this way, so he threw the iron statue into the West Lake, and since then, the water of the West Lake has become extremely foul and can no longer be drunk.

In the Ming Dynasty, someone planted a cypress tree in front of Yue Fei's tomb, one split into two, and the name was "split corpse juniper". During the Qing Dynasty, Qin Jianquan came to the tomb of Yue Fei in West Lake, and claimed that "people from the Song Dynasty are less famous juniper, and I am ashamed to be surnamed Qin in front of the grave." ”

Master Yinguang also saw the bronze statue of Qin Hui kneeling in front of Yue Fei's tomb, which was filthy.

Qin Hui's criminal karma can be seen.

This is just what the world has seen and heard, but in the midst of the unseen karma of samsara, what kind of suffering will he experience in the evil path?

During the year, Qingzhou Feng Zhongtang's family killed a pig, and after removing the hair, there was a word in the meat under the pig's belly, cloud: "Qin Hui VII." When it was cooked, the flesh was so bad that it was impossible to eat, so it was all given to a group of dogs. Someone sighed: "Woohoo! The meat of cypress should not be eaten by dire dogs!"

It can be seen that in hundreds of years of reincarnation, at least seven reincarnations have been reincarnated as pigs, and they have been suffering from slaughter.

A generation of eminent monks, just because they are not liberated, is still reincarnated in life and death after all, and it is just the injustice of the Buddha in three lives: the first life to learn Buddhism, the next life to enjoy happiness and karma, and the third life to fall into three paths.

Where can the long road of reincarnation give us true liberation?

There is only one way to enter the Pure Land!

Nowadays, we can encounter the Dharma of the Pure Land and recite the phrase "Nam no Amitabha", which is the hope of liberation and the guarantee of becoming a Buddha, because there is Amitabha Buddha's vow that "if you are not born, you will not attain enlightenment".

When we recite the Buddha, we will be liberated in this life and will no longer be reincarnated, and we will be reborn in the Pure Land and become a Buddha at ease.

Shantideva was a prince who, when he was very young, had been reminded in a dream of the sufferings of worldly life and existence. On the eve of his ascension to the throne as king, the wisdom deity Manjushri similarly warned him of the sufferings of this life. Shantideva reluctantly renounced his throne and went to the forest to practice yoga and meditation, and later became a monk at Nalanda University.

Shantideva never interacted with anyone at Nalanda Monastery, eating five meals a day and locking himself in the house all day. His brothers and sisters nicknamed him "Busuku", which means a man who can only eat and sleep. No one knew that he was proven, on the contrary, his nickname "rice bag" was not far away.

Some monks wanted to kick this lazy, account-evading man out of all the prestigious monasteries, but there was no strong excuse. One day, they came up with a plan whereby every bhikshu had to recite a complete sutra in front of all the monks. They thought that the lazy Shantideva would not be able to do it, and that he would be ashamed to leave the monastery of Nalanda, the mecca of learning.

At first, Shantideva objected to this opinion, but due to the insistence of the masses, he eventually agreed. But he made it a condition that if he could recite a sacred sutra with unerring accuracy, the crowd would have to prepare a tall throne for him. The monks agreed to this strange request, and they were ready to see Shantideva's bigger joke.

On the appointed day, Shantideva ascended the Dharma throne with the steps of a lion, sat on it with the confidence of an emperor, and asked the bhikshus in the group if they wanted to listen to a sutra that they had studied before or a sutra that they had not yet heard. Those who gossip and devise to frame Shantideva find it strange that they want to listen to a sutra that they have never heard before, and they think that Shantideva will make a fool of himself.

After praying to all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of the past, present and future, Shantideva naturally recited the beautiful verse of the opening chapter of his great impromptu Treatise on Entering the Bodhisattva's Behavior, and then he recited the entire part on the spot.

When Shantideva recited the ninth concerning transcendent wisdom and emptiness, he rose from his throne and slowly disappeared into the void, and the monks heard only his sonorous voice as he read the last one.

Everyone here now knows that an enlightened teacher once lived among them, and they didn't know it. By this time, Shantideva was gone, nowhere to be found.

His enemies had achieved their goal, but they regretted that they had missed a great teacher. When some of the bhikshus went to clean Shantideva's squatter house, they found two other books, which Shantideva hid on a small shelf above the lintel.

Venerable Shantideva is still known as one of the greatest enlightened beings of Indian Buddhism. To this day, his long Sanskrit classical masterpiece "Entering the Bodhisattva's Behavior" is still widely circulated.

Buddhism has a practice method called rejoicing merit, which means that seeing others have more means than me and have more brilliant achievements than me, not only is there no jealousy or resentment, but instead of being able to exchange people and me, take the achievements of others as their own achievements, and take the joy of others as their own joy. The beans of the same root are still frying each other, and the brothers of the compatriots are killing each other, and although the merit of rejoicing is turning in a thought, it is also difficult.

One day, Five Fingers came together for a big meeting to discuss who was the real Big Brother. Thumbs up first spoke: If you want to be bigger, I am the real big brother. You see, among the five fingers, I am the first, I am the thickest, and when people praise someone for being the best, they always lift me, so I am the big brother.

As soon as the words of the thumb were finished, the index finger immediately rushed to say: Among our brothers, I am the most important. As the Chinese saying goes: The people take food as the sky. The problem of people's livelihood is a major issue that everyone must face every day, and if diet cannot be solved, individuals will die of illness due to malnutrition, and the country will become a chaotic state or even destroy the country because of famine. Besides, if my index finger is moved, I can enjoy it and have delicious food. People always taste food with my index finger when cooking, so I should be the biggest. Also, when people ask for directions, they usually use me to show them the way. I have so many features that I am most qualified to be your big brother!

After listening to the long remarks of the index finger, the middle finger grabbed the white disappreciably: Hmph! You two should not be too self-conscious, and put gold on your face. The thumb you are short and fat, and the index finger is often moving, and you are not at all stable and majestic. It's like I'm the most modest, standing in the middle, and you're all around me like stars and moons. In addition, I am the most slender, like a general leading a group of soldiers, and a white crane standing among chickens and pheasants, so I am the eldest brother of the big brothers.

Patiently listening to the complacent speech of the middle finger, the ring finger finally could not bear it anymore, Huo Di stood up, and said loudly with a high spirit: You all boast about how great and great you are, but in fact I am the real greatest. Have you ever heard of the ancient adage that the nameless is the great name? My ring finger is not limited by the symbols of the world, and therefore I am greater than all of you.

The four fingers are vying to be the big brother, and no one is polite to each other. When he was arguing, he suddenly found Little Finger sitting on the side, not saying a word, looking like a calm old monk. The four fingers asked in unison, "Huh, little finger brother!" Why don't you tell us what you think? Don't you want to be a big brother?

Little Finger looked back at the four fingers leisurely, and said slowly: "Big brothers, each of you has outstanding achievements, and there is room for my little finger to speak in front of you. However, when we fold our hands and bow to the Buddha, or bow to someone, I am closest to the truth and the other person.

Little Finger's words shocked the four fingers and were speechless.

Greatness is not in the size of the shape, or even in the number of functions. Suppressing the other person, praising and destroying him, in order to highlight his greatness, is easy to be self-aggrandized, rather than truly great. A person who knows how to be humble before the truth and humble himself is not arrogant and great.
