The name of the asura is Vimalta, because of his incomparable power, he can come and go freely in heaven and earth, and when he sees countless beautiful women around him, he also wants to marry a wife.
He proposed to the beautiful lady of Gandharva, and Gandharva readily agreed to the marriage, and the Asura clan became more and more prosperous. Vimala had a daughter of all kinds of amorous feelings, which made the Heavenly Emperor Shakti, who already had hundreds of millions of wives and concubines, fall in love with her and marry her as a concubine.
Unexpectedly, after the emperor Shakti got married, he liked the new and hated the old, and the Asura woman told her father about the song, triggering an unprecedented war between the heavenly realm and the asura realm. Just when the Asura surrounded Mount Meru, where Shakti lived, Shakti remembered that the Buddha had said that if he was in trouble, he could break the ghost soldiers by reciting the Prajnaparamita mantra.
Sure enough, as soon as Emperor Shakti recited a mantra, four large knife wheels suddenly flew out of the air, almost cutting off the hands and feet of the Asura King, and the Asura King escaped into the lotus hole to avoid this difficulty, but his vitality was greatly damaged, and it was difficult to take revenge.
The war ended in the defeat of the Asuras, but the war between the Celestials and the Asuras did not end there.
After many years, Shakti fell in love with an asura's daughter again, so he ordered the celestial god of music to bring a dowry and threaten the asura to agree to the marriage through songs. Unexpectedly, the king of Asura, angry that Emperor Shakti deceived people too much, not only expelled the god of music from the palace, but also immediately sent troops to attack the celestials.
Just when the warlike Asura captured the Heavenly Palace, Shakti remembered the last curse, so the Asura King's army was defeated and retreated, so he had to retreat into the lotus root again. After Shakti had taken all the asura women captive, the Asura king sent an envoy to negotiate, pointing out that Shakti, as a disciple of Buddhism, had committed a precept of stealing.
After negotiations, the two sides finally reached an agreement, and Shakti admitted to committing the theft vows, and was willing to return the asura woman and give him heavenly nectar, while the asura offered his beloved daughter to Shakti and took the three refuges and five precepts to become a disciple of the Buddha, and the battle ended successfully.
In the war between the celestial realm and the asura realm, when an asura king fought against Shakti, he was called Rahura Asura because he could hold the sun and moon in his hand to block his light, and Rahula means obscuring the moon.
He has the power to form a solar and lunar eclipse by handing the sun and the moon because when he was a brahmin in the past, he saw a great fire burning the tower, so he extinguished the fire and protected the tower, and because of the merit of saving the tower, he made a vow to attain a great body.
However, despite this wish, he still did not believe in the Dharma and often loved to fight, so he fell into the asura path after his death.
Asura is also known as the god of non-drinking, and it is said that the asuras who lived at the bottom of the sea used to be very fond of drinking, but because they drank wine made from seawater, it always tasted salty and bitter, so in a fit of anger, they vowed never to drink again.
When Veda Bodhisattva saw Xie Baoshu and the evil aura on his body, he understood that he had come out of the path of assuration.
I really didn't expect it, because the person who can be killed from the Shura Dao is one in a million.
The place where the asura lived, the dwelling said, or the seabed on the coast.
According to the Buddhist scriptures, the world is destroyed first, and then the world begins again.
There are three major calamities and three minor calamities in the world, and when the three major calamities occur, the whole world is destroyed and then formed. When this world was first formed, the Asura lived on the top of Mount Meru.
In order to avoid the heavens, they traveled from the heavens to the heavens of Tarri. Because he had a grudge against the celestials, he avoided it, was born, and moved to the bottom of the coast. Originally, he lived in Tahuatian at first, and then he came down to the heavenly heaven of Terri, that is, he lived on the top of Mount Meru, and there was a palace on the fan.
Later, the light sound heaven, the first Zen Brahma, when he reached the realm of desire, he turned into heaven, and then on the fifth day, he turned into happiness, and in this way, in order to avoid living with the celestial beings, he lived on the bottom of the coast. This is a place where he lives.
In the Lotus Chinese verse, it is said that this is an asura that belongs to the ghost path and will live on the seabed of the coast. In the beginning, the asuras also lived in the heavens. There are two types of asuras, one is taken by ghosts, and they have supernatural powers. The second type is taken by the animal road, which lives on the bottom of the sea and on the side of Mount Meru.
Abhitama argues that the asura is somewhat similar to the ghost path due to the distortion of the heart, and such an asura belongs to the ghost path. Like the king of Rahu Asura, he was born of a master, and he was taken by a beast. The asuras of the ghost path live near the sea, and the animal path lives on the bottom of the sea.
Lotus Xuanyi said that the asuras live in the cave halfway up Mount Meru, and belong to the heavenly seeds, and belong to the heavenly beings. Then the asuras have both the ghost path, the heavenly path, and the animal path.
Miao Le said that the four kinds of asuras in Aham, inhabit the bottom of the sea, and there are 20,000 days at the bottom of the sea, and there is a palace in it. This place to live is very special and has many blessings. Born in this place.
This is the Asura Asura mentioned in the Ahama Sutra, which is divided into five categories, one is the extremely weak Asama. Living in the mountains and forests of Europe, like the West Mountain, there are big caves, living in it, not a heavenly palace, but very solemn, with flowers and vines to decorate.
The second, on the north side of Mt. Myoko, under the sea, is 21,000 years old, and there is Rahu Palace. The third place of residence is, and there are twenty-one thousand years, and there is the palace of Yongjian. The fourth dwelling place, which has 21,000 yore, has the palace of the flower. And the fifth, there were twenty-one thousand yoten, and there was the palace of Bimazotara. This is the first settlement to inhabit the seabed.
The Lengyan Sutra says that there are four kinds of asuras, viviparity, oviparity, wet birth, and metamorphosis, all of which are taken in the four places of ghosts, animals, and human beings, and there are ghosts, heavens, humanes, and animal beings. This is what the Lengyan Sutra says, and the asuras are in addition to the ghost path
, there is also a place where the Heavenly Dao lives, and he likes to fight with the heavens, and there is no merit of the heavens.
Asuras who have ghost paths live with ghosts. Humane Asuras also love to fight, and there are also Asura kings. The asura of the animal path is like a lion born, this is the king of asuras.
The palace of the Asura is solemn, but he is one level lower than the earthly heavens. The Four Heavenly Kings and the Celestial Heavens are both earthly dwellers, and the Asura also has a marriage, just like the human world, but the Asura suffers three times a day, and there is also a bitter apparatus coming over, because he likes to fight in his heart because of the earth, and in the retribution, there must be this apparatus, which is a retribution for his feelings in the ground, so this apparatus will naturally run into his palace.
The reason why the palace of the asura is solemn is because he has cultivated good because of the earth. Some people say, "I have done so much merit, do I have to suffer?" because you have evil thoughts in your heart, and even though you have a lot of goodness, this good cannot cancel each other out.
Vedic Bodhisattva's golden body shook again, trying to grab Xie Baoshu.
Xie Baoshu sensed Jing Ning's breath, frowned and said to the four Ming monks on the side, "This is the Bodhisattva of your Buddha Sect?"
The four monks were silent, what could he say.
The golden body of Vedic Bodhisattva is very powerful, and Xie Baoshu has now experienced the tempering of the Dao Shura Dao, and there is no way to take this golden body. After all, the gap in the realm is there, he is an earth immortal, what can he do with the heavenly immortal?
Moreover, Veda Bodhisattva still has an incarnation in the human world.
This has to start from the beginning of the Tang Dynasty, when there was a monk called Sima Toutuo, and he had a special talent - proficient in feng shui. Sima Toutuo's daily hobby is to travel in all directions. Once he passed through Taipingli, Yichun County, and saw the unique scenery here, so he asserted that there would be Buddhist saints here in the future.
Sure enough, decades later, the human incarnation of Vedic Bodhisattva, Master Pu'an, was born here. It is reported that when he was born, the room was full of auspicious light, strange fragrance and simple nose, and lotus flowers were born and bloomed from his family's field.
At that time, people assumed that these auspicious rays meant that the baby was not an ordinary person. But who it will be, no one has a clue. Soon, though, the answer emerged.
When he was six years old, one night, Master Pu'an dreamed of a Buddhist monk, and he pointed to the master's chest and said, "You and others will realize themselves one day." (You will come to your heart)
Upon awakening, a clump of cherry-sized cinnabar appeared on the Master's chest.
At this point, everyone understands that these auspicious rays are pointing to Buddhism, and this child should be a member of Buddhism when he grows up.
So later, when Master Pu'an proposed to become a monk, his parents agreed without hindrance. At the age of nineteen, the master was ordained and ordained the following year. His teacher, the monk Zhengxian, saw that his bones were strange and his bearing was extraordinary.
After becoming a monk, Master Pu'an traveled all year round, visiting eminent monks everywhere. Since then, his practice has become more diligent, meditating day and night, and diligently speaking the Dharma. When he was forty years old, when he was reciting the "Huayan Sutra", when he read "Daben is in love and dies, and the heart and body are together", the master sweated all over his body, suddenly realized, and couldn't help but say
Said: "I finally entered the Huayan realm in person today.
Then he wrote the Enlightenment Verse: Can't be described? Can't be opened, why should Nanyue and Tiantai. No one will know the head of the six gates, so Hu Seng will come specially to come. After the enlightenment, Master Pu'an not only gained wisdom, but also pointed to the hearts of the people, and his supernatural power was also opened. The master often showed his miraculous powers to heal the sick and save people, and when a sick person sought medical treatment, he would fold the herbs into medicine to get rid of the disease, and if there was a plague poison, he would hold a mantra for him to eliminate the disease.
When the karma of sentient beings appears, especially in the face of natural disasters, even immortals have no choice. However, Master Pu'an is often both compassionate and capable of having a solution.
At that time, he was a frequent visitor to the royal family, and if there was a natural disaster such as a prolonged drought without rain, a flood or a rampant epidemic, Master Pu'an would be invited to pray for the disaster. As a result, history has left many of his deeds.
In addition to curing diseases and eliminating disasters, the most common thing Master Pu'an does is to help the world and the people, subdue demons and subdue demons. There was a woman who liked to hear the words of Master Pu'an, whose husband was a butcher, and when she heard about the master's fame, she begged his wife for a recommendation.
When the butcher saw the master, he said that he also wanted to learn Buddhism. The master looked at him and said, "Can you put it down?"
"Put it down," said the butcher.
Master Pu'an: "Then you look back." ”
As soon as the butcher turned around, his limbs were weak and limp. It turned out that he saw all the livestock he had killed over the years behind him, and they all looked at him with angry eyes. At this time, Master Pu'an stopped him again and asked, "Can you let it go now?"
The butcher's face was pale, and he only nodded slightly.
"Look back," said Master Pu'an.
The butcher turned back, and there was nothing behind him. "I see!" the butcher suddenly became relieved, wept and wept, knelt down three times, and asked to be shaved.
Master Pu'an said, "You are a bodhisattva at home, not a monk." ”
After receiving the Dharma from Master Pu'an, the butcher changed his profession and fasted with his wife to recite the Buddha, becoming a local good knowledge. At that time, there were also cases of goblins harming people. There was a family marrying, and the bride was obviously on the sedan chair, but no one was seen when she took it home. The two families suspected each other, sued each other, and exhausted their family wealth to fight a lawsuit, but the case could not be solved.
One day, her husband heard that Master Pu'an had supernatural powers, so he went to the temple to ask the master to save him. The master gave him a piece of paper and told him to make an offering of fragrant flowers for seven days.
My husband took the paper, and saw that the paper read: The Buddha's body is full, how can you tolerate demons and evil spirits? If you don't obey me, the sky will thunder you!
Soon seven days passed, but nothing changed in the family. They went to the master again. The master took back the note and added two words to each sentence: The Buddha's body is full of the Dharma Realm, how can there be demons and ghosts? If you don't follow my Dao heart, the heavens will shatter you!"
After writing it, he ordered six monks and disciples to go to his house, paste it on the big camphor tree at the door, and recite the "Lengyan Mantra" around the tree.
The monks were ordered to go forward, and when they reached the third meeting, they suddenly heard a loud noise, and the tree was torn open by thunder, and two girls were thrown out of thin air. One of them is the missing bride, and the other is the long-missing girl. As a result, the truth was revealed, and it turned out that the elves were doing the trick.
In fact, in Buddhism, the Buddha does not allow his disciples to use supernatural powers. In history, great monks such as Buddha Tucheng, Daoji Zen Master, and Pu'an Master are all famous for their magical powers, and what they have in common is that they were all born in troubled times.
As the old saying goes, "in troubled times, use heavy codes", in troubled times, people's hearts are sinister, and in order to suppress atrocities, "heavy codes" are a last resort. And it is not easy to propagate the Dharma in troubled times, demons and monsters are rampant in the world, and "supernatural powers" are also a last resort.
Master Pu'an lived in an era when the Tang Dynasty had just been established, and wars were continuous.
Therefore, a holy monk like Master Pu'an is mostly born at the right time, and he shows his supernatural powers only to help the world and the people, not only does not violate the precepts, but also has the Dragon Heaven Protector. When Master Pu'an was forty years old, because he had just realized the Tao, his reputation was not widespread, but more and more people listened to him, and the dojo was full of incense.
As soon as the incense is booming here, some people begin to envy, envy and hate. Jealousy drives people mad, and those with bad intentions falsely accuse Master Pu'an of being a demon monk to the local governor's palace, and he is harming the people here.
As a result, the Governor appointed hundreds of officials to go to the monastery to arrest the master.
This large army of hundreds of people was mighty and murderous along the way. When the march came to the bottom of the mountain, only a few kilometers away from the monastery, when the generals were still concerned about the majesty of catching the demon monks, suddenly there was no wind and waves, and the wind was fierce. At first it rained lightly, and gradually the light rain turned into heavy rain, and then the heavy rain turned into a torrential rain, and the torrential rain was mixed with thunder and lightning. Between the lightning and thunder, a huge dragon suddenly appeared, with its horns and horns, and its divine light was prominent, and it rolled in the clouds.
The dragon appeared, and auspicious rain fell from the sky!
When the officials who came to arrest the master saw this, they were all frightened, and the inspector who took the lead knelt down directly. He knew that it was his actions that angered the Dragon Heaven Protector. So he immediately repented, and after a while, the dragon submerged in the rain, and the official messenger immediately withdrew to the government, and immediately reported back: Pu'an Zen Master is not a demon monk and a holy monk.
From this, it can be seen that Master Pu'an really has the Longtian Protector, but Master Pu'an's Dharma protector easily does not dare to show it to others.
Once, two people from Pingxiang came to visit the master, and sat opposite the master for a long time, but they didn't see anyone waiting, so they asked the master, "Does the master have no waiters?"
Master Pu'an replied, "I'm afraid that if they show up, they will scare the two of them." ”
The two looked at each other and smiled suspiciously.
So the master asked the Dharma protector to appear, and saw two mighty and majestic generals wearing gold armor standing aside, serving tea for the master.
The two of them only glanced at each other, and then they were so frightened that they quickly got up and stood aside, never daring to sit down again.
It turned out that these two attendants turned out to be two famous generals in history.
It is recorded in the sixth volume of the "Lengyan Sutra" that Guanyin Bodhisattva reported her practice experience to the Buddha, in which she said: "I can get out of the six dusts by hearing and thinking, such as the sound of the wall can not be hindered, so I can appear one by one and recite one mantra." Its form is a curse, and it can be performed on all beings with fearlessness. ”
This means that when she has cultivated to the point where she has broken out of the shackles of the six dusts and fully proved her own nature, she will be able to say mantras to herself and use mantras to benefit sentient beings.
Master Pu'an has long been recognized by the world as the incarnation of Vedic Bodhisattva because of the special age in which he lived
After his cultivation was successful, in order to subdue demons and protect the Dharma, he opened the door of convenience and created his own mantra "Pu'an Mantra".
The Pu'an Mantra is said to be very ferocious, and has been used by monks to subdue demons and exorcise demons since ancient times. The old monk Mengshen said: "If the devil annoys all living beings, the ancestor of Pu'an can make the devil's head split eight petals when he recites this mantra. ”
The Pu'an mantra has a great effect on subduing demons, so there is a saying that "Pu'an is in ten directions, and the jungle is stable". Therefore, some jungles in the south must be recited collectively on the first or fifteenth day of the new year.
The Pu'an spell can not only subdue demons and eliminate demons, drive away mosquitoes, but also break the taboo and dissolve Tai Sui. One year, when the master was repairing the monastery, nine talents came and said to the master, "Jiuliangxing is in the monastery this year, how can you repair the monastery?"
What is Jiuliangxing? It is said to be a fierce god in the sky. But whenever this star is bad, you must stop repairing, and you must not build temples and temples, otherwise "ten people must teach nine people to die", and the consequences are very serious.
Master Pu'an's supernatural powers are unhindered, and he knows at a glance that these nine people are the nine good stars. So he joked: "The Nine Good Stars are nine, why don't you add me to the Ten Good Stars?"
These nine people may be afraid of the master's mighty power, and when they heard this, they knew that something was wrong, and they immediately wanted to slip away. But it was too late, they had been frozen by the master with divine power, and they couldn't move.
The master said, "I know where you come from, but since you dare to enter my Buddha today, you must take refuge in my Buddha, otherwise you will have to leave." The nine people, perhaps helpless or subdued, really converted to the master.
However, although Master Pu'an accepted Jiuliang Xing as an apprentice, the workers in charge of building the temple still fell ill collectively because of the Xingsha.
What to do?
The master wrote a note and ordered someone to stick it on the pillar, with two paragraphs written on it, one of which reads: "Pu'an does not want to know yin and yang, and cultivates nine good without intention; My nature and my heart are always quiet, and I don't want to let my knowledge enter the pot of soup, and I advise those who come here to be turbid in body and mind. ”
Another passage reads: "If the craftsman is not sick, there are no nine goodness in the heavens, and if the craftsman is not healed, there is no Dharma on the earth." ”
The next day, the workers were cured.
Therefore, in later generations, when people built buildings, they would generally ask monks to recite the Pu'an mantra for fear of committing crimes. But if no one can read it, then put up a wooden sign at the construction place and write "There are no taboos in this place for the patriarch of Pu'an" and everything will go well.
Therefore, whenever there is a day to calm the nerves, invite the Buddha, settle down, go out, etc., it is advisable to recite the "Pu'an Mantra" one to three times, and you can "have no taboos".
Also, if there are cockroaches, white mouths, mosquitoes, and rats in the house...... Annoyed snakes, insects, rats and ants can also recite this mantra to drive them away. However, the effect varies from person to person, and the effect will be greatly reduced for people with low confidence or lack of concentration.
Master Pu'an worked hard all his life, and in order to seek enlightenment, he did not fall down for 12 years, and did not lie down and sleep once. After attaining enlightenment, although he became famous, he never lived in fame, whether it was precepts, virtues, or practice, he was the same as when he was young, and he never slackened.
Master Pu'an is a Zen practitioner with great divine power, who has lived a life of great compassion and compassion for all sentient beings, and he has helped the world
There are many miracles of the people, eliminating disasters and diseases, and the public cases left behind are innumerable.
Today, he is the Vedic Bodhisattva.
walked in front of Xie Baoshu, wanted to catch Xie Baoshu and throw him into the dragon pool. One true dragon, one Shura, just suppressed them all. Vedic Bodhisattva looked at the four Ming monks on the side and asked, "You can't do it, see how I subdue the demons." ”
The four monks didn't dare to say anything.
Xie Baoshu raised the knife in his hand and said angrily: "Your Buddha Sect is so rampant, aren't you afraid that one day, someone will smash it with a knife from Lingshan?"
Veda Bodhisattva smiled and said: "There is a Buddha in Lingshan, which demon can make trouble there? You are deeply demonic, don't struggle, go back to practice with me." It only takes two years to ensure that the demonic nature is removed, and the cultivation skyrockets. ”
Xie Baoshu shook his head: "It's not uncommon for me to be a dog for the Buddha Sect." ”
In the cultivation world, there are still many people who act as dogs for Buddhist monks. What Xie Baoshu is thinking about now is how to split this law with one sword. But it doesn't work at all, where is the realm worship.
If his master Song Heng is here, maybe there is still hope.
