Chapter 141: Reincarnation
Due to the traction of karma, asura can be divided into four lives: fetus, egg, wetness, and incarnation. The oviparous is in the path of ghosts, and can use its power to display its divine powers into the air; the viviparous is in the human realm, and the reason for reincarnation is that it was originally in the path of heaven, but it has been degraded because of its descent; the oviparous person is in the path of animals, lives at the mouth of the water hole, swims in the void, and returns to the water at dusk; and the incarnate person is in the way of heaven, and the birth is talked about.
According to the Sutra of the Buddha Samadhi, when the world was just formed into the mountains and seas, the playful immortals in the light and sound heavens went to the world to play. One of the immortals was bathing in the sea when he gave birth to a fleshy egg due to the "water spirit" entering his body. After 8,000 years, this flesh egg finally gave birth to a female monster, as long as Mount Meru, with 1,000 eyes, 24 feet, and 999 heads, mouths, and hands.
The female monster then gave birth to a male monster named Vimalta, because of the incomparable power to come and go freely to heaven and earth, so after seeing that there are countless beautiful women around the celestial people, they also want to marry a wife. The female monster proposed to the beautiful goddess of Gan Min on behalf of her son, and as a result, the woman gladly agreed to the marriage, and the Asura clan became more and more prosperous.
Vima's amorous daughter made the Heavenly Emperor, who already had hundreds of millions of wives and concubines, fall in love with her and marry her as a concubine. Unexpectedly, after the emperor released his marriage, he liked the new and hated the old, and the Asura woman told her father about it, triggering an unprecedented war. Just when the Asura surrounded Mount Meru, where the emperor lived, the emperor remembered that the Buddha had said that if he encountered a great disaster, as long as he recited the mantra of Prajnaparamita, he could crack the ghost soldiers. Sure enough, as soon as the spell was held, four large knife wheels suddenly flew out of the air, almost cutting off the hands and feet of the Asura King.
However, the war between the celestials and the asuras did not end there. After many years, the emperor fell in love with the daughter of a Raja Asura and ordered the celestial god of music to bring a dowry, and threatened to lure Raja Ra into marriage through songs. Unexpectedly, Luo Yuluo was angry that the emperor had deceived people too much, and not only expelled the god of music from the palace, but also immediately sent troops to attack the celestials. Just when the brave and skilled Asura captured the Heavenly Palace, Emperor Shakti recalled the last curse, so the Asura army was defeated and retreated, so they had to retreat into the lotus root to hide.
Just after the Emperor had taken all the assura women captive, Raja sent an envoy to negotiate with him, stating that as a disciple of the Buddha, the Buddha should not break the vows and steal. After several negotiations, the two sides finally reached several agreements, in which the emperor admitted that he had committed the theft vows, and was willing to return the asura woman and give him heavenly nectar, while the asura offered his beloved daughter to the emperor and voluntarily took the three refuges and five precepts and became a disciple of the Buddha, and the battle ended successfully.
In the war of the heavenly realm, there was an asura king who fought against the emperor, because he could hold the sun and the moon in his hand and block its light, so he was called Rajra Asura, which means obscuring the moon. He was able to obstruct the sun and the moon with his hands to form an eclipse of the sun and the moon, because when he was a brahmin in his past life, he saw a great fire burning the tower and extinguished the fire so that the tower would not be damaged. However, despite this wish, he still did not believe in the Dharma and often loved to fight, so he fell into the asura path after his death.
Heaven:
Heavenly beings are all over the three realms of desire, * and nothing* and so on. Among them, there are six desires in the realm of desire, * there are four meditation days and eighteen days, and there are no * four days, for a total of twenty-eight days.
Among the beings in the heavenly realm, there is still a difference between men and women in the six heavens of the desire realm, and there are also marriages, but it is not like the relationship between men and women in the human world. In terms of the way they satisfy their desires, the Four Great Kings and the Celestial Heavens are in harmony with yin and yang, while the Flame Heavens are close to each other, and the Tushi Heavens look deeply at each other by holding hands with each other, and the Celestial Beings only need to look at each other for a short time.
The beings of *, on the other hand, have been freed from their attachment to desires, but have not yet been freed from the bondage of their bodies. Therefore, whether it is the place where you live, or the body itself, it is already very pure, but it still has a form. And the biggest difference between them and the beings in the realm of desire is that they have been separated from lust and have only pure and subtle forms, so they have no distinction between men and women, and they use light as their language and food.
As for the four heavens of nothingness, it is the existence of the material world, and it is the heavenly realm that is born after death of sentient beings who are disgusted with the material color and think and cultivate the four colorless sentient beings. In this celestial realm, there is naturally no distinction between men and women.
The life of the celestial beings is charmingly described in the Sutra of Cause and Effect of the Past and Present, such as that their bodies are extremely pure, untainted by dirt and dirt, and full of light like glass, and their eyes are even clearer and brighter. As long as you have something in your heart, you can make your wish come true, so you can always maintain joy and comfort in your mentality. On weekdays, they also use Xianle Qingyang as entertainment, and even food and clothing, just like magic magic, as long as the mind moves, it should come.
Buddhism says: Good karma is the method of purification, and bad karma is the method of defilement. Taking good and evil karma as the cause can incur different kinds of good and evil karma, which is the karmic effect. As the manifestation of karma, all the methods of the secular world are manifested according to the two karmas of good and evil, born according to karma, and circulated according to karma. Therefore, sentient beings who do good deeds will be rewarded with good, and those who do evil will be rewarded with evil.
And sentient beings who have attained the retribution of good and evil will create new bodies, words, and mental karma in new life activities, and incur new retribution, so that all sentient beings who have not been liberated will go through the cycle of the heavenly path, the human path, the asura path, the animal life, the evil ghost path, and the hell path, which is what Buddhism calls reincarnation.
Generally speaking, it refers to the celestial beings as the superior small good fruits in the six realms, but as long as they play a role in the reincarnation of the six realms, they can all be said to be ordinary people, life and death flow, and they cannot leave, just like the long night, although the celestial beings are the highest status in the six realms, they still have to be reincarnated. Generally speaking, the universe refers to the tangible world, which is surrounded by ignorance and afflictions, so the world is the five turbid and evil worlds. In the six realms of reincarnation, the six realms are divided into three realms, the three realms are the realm of desire, *, and nothing*.
These three realms are the abode of the six realms of ordinary people, and everyone in the three realms must accept reincarnation, so the Buddhist scriptures say that the Three Realms are like a house of fire, and the house of fire is a metaphor for the fire of ignorance in the Three Realms, which is burned by the fire of ignorance of life and death.
According to the scriptures, if you do the ten negative karmas, you will fall into the three evil realms of hell, hungry ghosts, and animals. If you do the ten good karmic paths, you will be born in the heavenly realm and the human realm. The so-called heavenly realm is the "divine realm", which is the realm where the soul of righteousness and good fortune dwells, although this realm enjoys happiness, but there is always a time when the blessings are enjoyed, that is, the cultivation of goodness is not to think about the heavens, this heaven is the highest heaven of the three realms, but once it falls, it still has to be reincarnated.
As for the realm of asura, it is the world of elves, the soul that stays in the world of elves, although they also cultivate good karma during their lifetime, but they have taken a step of evil path, so they cannot be called "righteous gods", they can only be called "evil gods" or "evil ghosts", the environment of the asura realm is the most complicated, and the "evil gods" also have magical powers, and those who pretend to be haunted by the world, and this kind is the most. Therefore, if a person has "righteousness", evil spirit cannot arise. If a person has evil thoughts, "evil spirits" will take advantage of the gap. Therefore, the so-called "going mad" means that people have evil thoughts first, and evil spirits take advantage of the gap to enter.
The six realms of reincarnation all have the suffering of birth, old age, sickness, death, resentment, love, parting from suffering, seeking no suffering, and the five yin are full of suffering. In this way, the six realms of reincarnation can be said to be more suffering than happiness, so life is a sea of suffering. According to the theory of the path of liberation: "The precepts of wisdom are the path to liberation, and the person who keeps the vows is the meaning of majesty and the foundation of doing good."
The mind of a person who is meditating is not scattered. And the wise man, he can be prophetic. The so-called liberation is the meaning of getting rid of bondage, using the precepts as the first good, the middle good, and the wisdom as the later good, so that meditation and strive to eliminate suffering, and finally get liberation from the six realms of reincarnation. ”
Two of the six realms of reincarnation are tangible, namely "humanity" and "animal nature." Four of the six realms of reincarnation are invisible, namely the "Heavenly Path", the "Asura Path", the "Evil Ghost Path", and the "Hell Path". The tangible is called "instrumental", and the intangible is called "non-instrumental".
Although there is a theory of "karma" in Buddhism, the more formal term is "karma and karma," so what does "karma" mean? In Buddhism, the content of "karma" is very complex, and simply put, it is "condition." For example, an egg can be hatched into a chicken, but it takes a certain temperature to hatch into a chicken, and this certain temperature is the "edge". Although eggs can hatch chickens (causal conditions are met), eggs will not become chickens without a certain temperature (edge).
Therefore, in Buddhism, people are told to "practice" and get rid of the six realms of reincarnation, that is, to start from the word "fate", so that the evil causes created by the accumulation of multiple births will not become evil results, but that the good causes created by the accumulation of multiple births will mature as soon as possible and become good results. So as to be free from suffering and happiness, and free from the six realms of reincarnation.
Six reincarnation diagram editing
It is also known as "Six Fun Idealistic Diagram" and "Six Fun Wheel of Life and Death". The statue is from the "Six Pleasures of Reincarnation Sutra". Engraved in the south rock of Baoding Big Buddha Bay, the shrine is 7.8 meters high and 4.8 meters wide. The shrine is engraved with a prototype giant wheel with a diameter of 2.7 meters, named "Liuqu Wheel". According to Buddhism, this wheel is the wheel that carries people through the Three Realms and the Six Realms.
The wheel is engraved with the "Wheel Saint King", the head of the "Three Buddhas", the face is ugly, the head is unkempt, the head is unkempt, the mouth is on the wheel, and the arms are wrapped around the giant wheel, so as to indicate that the "karma" of life is irreversible.
The six-fun wheel can be divided into four layers. In the center of the inner layer is carved curly hair that stumbles and sits the practitioner. There is a pig on its left, a pigeon on its right, and a poisonous snake sitting down. The three kinds of animals represent the "three poisons" of stupidity, greed, and ignorance. Buddhism believes that there are many negative karmas in life, especially the "three poisons", which are the root cause of all negative karma. Therefore, it is called the "three unwholesome roots" and is listed as the first of the "fundamental afflictions".
In addition, from the chest (center of the circle) of the walker, six rays of light are emitted, which shoot directly outside the wheel, dividing the giant wheel into six parts. The second level of the six parts is the so-called "six realms," that is, the results of the six "karmas."
Directly above the second layer is "Heavenly Road, engraved with the sun and moon around the top of Mount Sumeru, and there is an palace on the top." This way is clean and bright, magnificent, and unmatched by the human world. The right side of the heavenly road is "humanity", carved four people wearing crowns and robes, standing with objects, this road is the place where the world lives, the place where human beings live. On the left side of the "Heavenly Dao" is the "Asura Dao", which is engraved with a three-headed, six-armed, asura statue holding various weapons. Asura was originally a brave and victorious god, with the same ability as the "heavens".
However, because he was too heavy and angry, he was thrown out of the "Heavenly Dao" and lowered to the "Asura Dao".
Hua Feng slowly understood what the "Six Realms of Reincarnation" were, although the concept was still vague at the moment.
