Chapter 16 Confrontation Training
Section I
On Monday morning, news of the attack on Colin Creevey, who was now lying like a dead man in his hospital room, spread all over the school. Suddenly, rumors flew in the school, and everyone was suspicious. First-year students are now always huddled together in groups of three or five, as if they are afraid that if they go alone, they will be attacked. The Slytherins were far less excited than they had been, and when the actual students were attacked, the students realized that it wasn't a joke.
Sauron went to Dumbledore's office, where he met Snape, and the two quickly quarreled with each other.
"You suspect I did it? I had no reason to attack a first-grader. Sauron said coldly, "I'm not that bored. β
"Not necessarily, I heard you don't like that kid very much." Snape spoke slowly, a defiant look on his face.
"If that's the case, the first thing I'll have to deal with at Hogwarts is you." Sauron stared at Snape.
"Calm down." Dumbledore sternly said, "The Chamber of Secrets has been opened, that's true. None of us will be the heirs of Slytherin, so there's no need to be suspicious of each other. β
"The only living Slytherin bloodline is Lord Voldemort, and only he can open the Chamber of Secrets. But there's no way he's going to get into Hogwarts unlessβ" Sauron said, glancing at Snape, "someone to help him." β
Snape's face instantly darkened, and he stared angrily at Sauron, who refused to back down.
"Gentlemen, gentlemen." Dumbledore said loudly, looking at the two people facing each other, rather helpless. "According to my information, Voldemort is hiding in the jungles of Albania right now."
Sauron snorted coldly, no longer looked at Snape, and said slowly, "At the moment, we are very passive, no matter what method the other party uses to open the secret room, but he is in the dark and we are in the light, there are so many students in the school, we can't investigate them one by one, we can only wait for him to show his feet, we can only deal with him." β
"It's really cold, you mean to use students as bait?" Snape said briskly, "Or do you think that as long as your pure-blooded brother is safe, it doesn't matter if anyone else lives or dies." β
Sauron frowned, but didn't immediately refute, he looked at Dumbledore, then at Snape, and said slowly, "That's the crux of the matter - we don't know what the other party's purpose is. If you just want to deal with Muggle-born students, or create chaos and panic, it's just a nuisance; But if the other party has other purposes, such as resurrecting the Dark Lord or something, I'm afraid we'll have to prepare for the worst. β
Dumbledore and Snape's expressions became very stern after hearing this, and after a long time, Dumbledore said, "It seems that we can only wait, but the necessary measures must be taken to ensure the safety of the students - at least, there must be no deaths." β
Coming out of Dumbledore's office, Sauron met Harry in the hallway to the Great Hall, but Ron and Hermione were not with him. Harry saw Sauron with a strange expression on his face.
"What's wrong?" Sauron looked at Harry and asked a little strangely.
"That, Sauron." Harry stumbled, "Can you get the horns of a two-horned beast and the skin of an African tree snake?" β
Sauron raised his eyebrows after hearing this, "What do you want those things for, to make potions?" β
"Oh yes...... Well, in fact it was Hermione who was going to make a potion, like a potion for her hair, you know, she had been unhappy with her hair, messy like weeds. Harry said, seeing that Sauron was a little incredulous, and added, "It seems that Pansy Parkinson of your house said something, and Hermione seemed to care, so she found a potion recipe from somewhere." β
Sauron pursed his lips, not overly suspicious, "I do have the ingredients, but you're sure the recipe is safe." If I were to say that it would be better for her to ask Madam Pomfrey. As for the materials, I'll hand them over to you at noon. β
"Oh, that's great." Harry looked pleased.
"By the way, do you want to spend Christmas at school, or do you want to go out with me and have fun?"
Harry hesitated for a long time, "I'd better stay at school, Ron and Hermione also stayed. β
Sauron didn't care, "Alright then, it's time to go to class, goodbye." Then he walked to the classroom on the other side of the hallway, where Harry was standing looking at Sauron's back with a complicated expression.
In the Gran Cent common room, Harry, Ron, and Hermione gathered together and whispered something.
"Now that the ingredients are all ready, the next thing is to wait, I think the compound decoction will be completed in about two weeks." Hermione said excitedly.
"I said, Harry, you're really good." Ron patted Harry on the shoulder, "Get the materials from Sauron, so we don't have to go to Snape's collection to steal them." β
"Yes, but I didn't expect that Sauron would actually have the materials we wanted."
Harry didn't answer, looking unhappy.
"I said, what's wrong with you. It was so low to come back at noon. Ron asked with concern.
"It's nothing, it's just that lying to Sauron doesn't make me feel good." Harry shook his head, and Ron and Hermione looked at each other, but didn't speak.

In the Room of Requirement, Isabella and Draco were practicing spell casting, while Sauron and Epikos stood by and watched.
"Except for your weapons!" Draco shouted, and a bright red light shot from the tip of his wand towards Isabella.
"Armor protection!" Isabella shouted, and Draco's spell was bounced off in front of Isabella and shot at Ibikos, who waved it away.
"Well done." Sauron said, and with a wave of his wand, a large bottle of pumpkin juice and two cups appeared on the table, "Drink something and rest." β
Isabella and Draco sat down at the table, and Sauron swiped his wand around them, creating an enchantment. Ibikos saw this, smiled, and pulled out his wand and stood opposite Sauron.
Sauron and Epikos came face to face and looked at each other for a moment, before Epikos suddenly raised his wand to Sauron, "Pass out!" β
Sauron waved his hand to dispel the spell into a cloud of light and said, "Except for your weapons." The bright red light shot at Ibikos, but Ibikos deftly dodged it, cracking the bookcase behind him and dropping the book to the ground. Ibikos waved his wand sideways as he shouted "Flames!" β
Without warning, flames surged around Sauron, as if a huge flame flower enveloped Sauron at the same time. With his wand in his right hand, Sauron made a quick swipe over his head, then pointed forward, and the flames around him poured out towards Epikos. Ibikos squinted, his right hand holding his wand in front of him, his left hand gripping his right wrist tightly, and the flames surged in front of him, as if split by a blade, splitting to the sides, reducing the bookshelves and targets behind Ibikos to ashes.
"Wow!" Isabella and Draco sat on the side, excitedly watching the battle between the two. Although Sauron and Ibix didn't do their best, it was already a very high level for the current Draco and Isabella. Drake looked at the two with envy and awe on his face, while Isabella looked at Sauron with a hint of fanatical adoration in her eyes.
"Worthy of Your Highness." Ibikos exhaled and said with a smile, lowering his hand holding his wand. He looked back at the mess behind him and pouted, "Tsk." β
"Hehe, you're wonderful, Ibikos." Sauron also said easily, he looked at the bookshelf that had turned to dust, and shook his head, "Forget it, there is no need to fix it, it will be restored automatically when you come next time." β
"Tonight is the first gathering of the gladiatorial club, will Your Highness go?"
Sauron looked at Isabella, who didn't speak, but her face showed anticipation, and she nodded at the thought that Harry would definitely go too.
At eight o'clock in the evening, Sauron led Isabella to the Great Hall of the Great Hall. The long dining table vanished, and along one wall appeared a gilded stage, illuminated by hundreds of candles floating above. Once again, the ceiling was dark as velvet, and almost all the students in the school came, crowded one after another, each with their wands in their hands, their faces full of excitement.
They walked to where the Slytherins were congregated, and walked to the front along the gap that the students had automatically cleared. "I don't know who is going to teach us," Isabella said.
"I think it might be Professor Snape." Draco said, "Father said Professor Snape's dark ......" Before Drake could finish, Isabella stabbed him, realizing that it was not appropriate to talk about Snape's dark arts here.
"I think it's Professor Flitwick, he should ......" Sauron's words turned into a cold snort.
Gilderoy Lockhart walked onto the stage, shining in a fuchsia robe, and the man next to him was Snape, dressed in his usual black clothes.
Lockhart waved everyone to be quiet, and then shouted, "Come around, come around!" Can everyone see me? Can you hear me? That's great! That is so, Professor Dumbledore has allowed me to open this little dueling club, to train you in the way I have used so many times to defend yourself in case you need to defend yourself one dayβsee my published work for more information. β
Looking at Lockhart swaggering on stage, Sauron's face was gloomy, while Isabella and Draco smirked disdainfully.
"Let me introduce my assistant, Professor Snape," said Lockhart, grinning widely, "and he told me that he knew a thing or two about dueling, and he generously agreed to assist me in a little demonstration before class. I mean, I don't want you little ones to worry - I'll give you back your Potions teacher intact when I'm done showing him, don't be afraid!"
"I guess Professor Snape might have killed him," Draco whispered to Isabella's side. Snape's upper lip curled, and his eyes looked at Lockhart with a grim look. The Slytherin students didn't understand why Lockhart was still smiling, they knew very well that if Snape looked like that, it meant that someone was going to be unlucky. Lockhart and Snape turned to face each other and bowed. At least Lockhart bowed, his hands flipping in a lot of patterns, and Snape just shook his head impatiently. Then, they held their respective wands to their chests like swords.
"As you can see, we hold our wands in a normal duel position," Lockhart said to the silent crowd, "and we'll do the first magic on the count of three." Of course, neither of us will take the other's life. β
"Idiot." Sauron saw Snape baring his teeth and whispered. "One...... Two...... Three......" both in and at the same time raised their wands over their shoulders. Snape shouted, "Get rid of your weapons!" A dazzling red light flashed, and Lockhart was knocked to his feet. He jerked backwards off the stage, slammed into the wall, and then slid down, curled up on the floor.
Malfoy and a few other Slytherin students applauded. Sauron sneered and said, "Hmph, Snape is really restrained, I thought he would be a little ruthless." β
