This year, I changed my accommodation, the rent was cut in half, the area was much smaller, and I had to share a bathroom. My room is full of cardboard boxes that have nowhere to go, and it's overwhelming. My roommate's fostered tanuki cat seemed to like this state and often sneaked into my house and lay on my bed when I wasn't looking. It was a big cat, with a majestic physique, a snow-white belly, a blue bow tie, and piercing eyes. I occasionally look back and am often startled by it.

At two o'clock, the cat looked at me sleepily at the foot of the bed. I can't help but feel that staying up late is not good for it, so let's turn off the lights early.

Lying on the bed, I heard the cat squeaking, as if scratching the quilt, and I was a little worried. Thinking about it, what if you live alone and have holes in the quilt.

Having said that, the wardrobe was closed. It seems that the coat should not have holes.

I went to a class called working with actors, and I took this class a few times, and it always felt a bit of a home. The professors also like to do yoga, where everyone joins hands, dances, takes deep breaths, relaxes, and imagines that you touch something hot...... Their grounds seem very advanced, and you have to learn the art of imagination. But when you pay your tuition by the hour, it's a little hard to feel the call of inspiration. I sat in class and couldn't help but wonder if these course patterns could be passed down from generation to generation, from one college to another. I'm going to write it down, and I'll go back and draw the gourd in the same way, maybe I can cheat some money.

Anyway, today the professor asked us to take a few minutes to imagine ourselves in the favorite places of our childhood. I remembered a house where I lived briefly when I was ten years old, with a small cubicle of several square meters and a narrow window open under the stairs on the third floor. I don't know what the decoration concept was, so I put a wooden floor on that compartment. I always wanted to sleep there when I was a kid, but just thinking about it.

Now I'm in that cubicle, hidden behind the stairs so no one can see me. The ceiling is very close enough to be felt with the sloping wood grain and some smell of freshly painted wood. Thin socks slid around on the wooden floor. I brought a summer air-conditioner quilt, which was a fluffy white fabric. I sat cross-legged under the covers, my calves still on the slippery floor. The wall was also made of cool wood, and I was leaning against the wall, next to the small window.

The small window is rectangular, with some dust in the white plastic frame, and excess glue particles stuck to the edges. It's like a meaningless corner in all buildings. This is my window. Outside the glass, it's raining.

It was heavy rain, incessant, and the world outside the window was a blurry blue-green, I think it was probably the leaves of the trees in the storm. So there is a tree of average height outside the window. It was a camphor tree, green close to black, with a somber fragrance, and the branches full of oval leaves whipped with rain on the thick glass, and the sound of the rain hitting the glass was like a crisp drumbeat. My fingers followed the trail of flowing water. The coolness of the rain seeped through the glass.

Okay, the professor said, now tell me how you feel.

The little cubicle in the rainstorm was far away from me, and the blue-green window was like a soft light in the darkness.

I said: lonely.

When asked about an Indian classmate, he said guilty. I want to know his story.

Email with the actors. Ah, I hate this moment. Even polite responses take a lot of energy, and communication is a time killer. Theoretically, I don't know them, they don't know me, I don't know a few people in this whole country. There is no need to feel uncomfortable with all kinds of misunderstandings and mistakes. But even if I understand this intellectually, it is still difficult for me to overcome the psychological barrier of communicating with strangers. I guess that's why I'm so obsessed with taking these weird classes. This morning I was lying in bed, debating over and over whether to skip the course, and finally got up. Alas, the opportunity to deal with anyone is precious and should be cherished.

4.

When I arrived at my doorstep, I found that the fresh food delivered by Amazon had arrived. Four bottles of frozen mineral water are pressed into the pork chop pocket. It's the first time I've used this function, and it's a very thoughtful way to keep it fresh, it's more economical than an ice pack, and it's still drinkable. Vegetables are too expensive, a bell pepper costs two pieces of two, and a yellow peach costs a piece of four. But it costs more to take a taxi to the supermarket and get there. Really need to buy a car.

The cat was circling around its feet, and it looked like the food box was empty. Heck, Kingsley, we're just friends who share a mattress, don't expect too much.
