Chapter 142: Fire Ash Snake Egg
After breakfast, Professor Flitwick and Leonard went out together, and Leonard naturally did not miss Professor Flitwick's strong and reliable support.
Before leaving, Professor Flitwick couldn't help but tell Alan to be safe, after all, there was a very dangerous escape from the world.
Alan obediently agreed. After seeing off Professor Flitwick and Leonard, he continued to flip through the newspapers.
It was a long time before Ian yawned and walked downstairs.
"Ian, are you going to bed late again?" Jessica quickly walked in front of Ian.
Her posture is stable and lively, there is an indescribable grace between her eyebrows, and her posture is beautiful with every step. But Ian couldn't help but take a few steps back.
Jessica grabbed Ian's ear in the next second and taught him a lesson: "No matter how wonderful the books are, you should go to bed on time." โ
Ian nodded his head, his cool expression already thrown out of the clouds. The appearance of the two siblings made Alan smile.
By the time Ian finished breakfast, it was nearly ten o'clock.
"Where are we going? It's almost time for lunch!" Jessica glanced at Ian, her eyes sharp.
"I thought we could go and have a look at this church. Alan gestured to the newspaper in his hand: an eyewitness was being interviewed, standing in front of a church, his teeth and claws, his face agitated.
"Why do you want to go to church? I don't see anything wrong?" Jessica looked at it several times, and even saw the leaves on the teeth of the exaggerated-looking man, and looked at Alan with a look of disgust.
"Yes, just go here. Ian suddenly spoke up in affirmation of Allen's thoughts.
"Look, the top right corner of this animated photo. Alan prompted.
Jessica turned her gaze to the newspaper again, and in the upper right corner, the camera flashed by a pink glow on the church's colored window lattice.
"It's just the reflection of the sun on the colored glass windows, isn't itโ" Jessica suddenly thought that it had been extremely gloomy yesterday, and there was no strong sunlight at all. "This is! This is the trail of the Wicked Woman's Bird. Jessica's tone became extremely excited, delighted by her discovery.
Having determined their destination, the three of them quickly left the warm room and hurried to the location of the church.
After the blizzard, the temperature plummeted, and the weather suddenly became unusually cold. With the clues in the newspaper, Alan and the others hurried to a strange town under the guidance of the guiding cursor.
The town looks very old, with only one wide street running through the town.
Led by the cursor, Alan and the others walked through the alleys of dogs.
And at every corner of the street, Alan and the others had to stop and take a closer look, so as not to miss the trace of the evil woman's bird.
They walked for a while in a super long alley.
The alley is so narrow that you can reach the walls on either side with a single hand. When the alley finally widened a bit, the road sloped steeply downward.
At the end of the alley is a flat field, where there is a wall with towers that resemble the cannon holes of a blockhouse in the middle of the tall houses that connect it.
Alan noticed that the house to its left seemed to be more imposing, with several towering minarets and turrets standing on top of it. And the destination of their trip, the church, is just behind it.
As soon as Alan and the others were about to speed up their pace and run to the church, they saw a noise coming from the tall house that had just attracted Alan's attention.
A group of Muggles ran out of the house, shouting, "Fire, fire, fire!" and they ran past Allen and headed straight down the alley, where they could be heard screaming.
"Shall we go over and have a look?" asked Jessica, whose plans were interrupted by the sudden event.
"Of course!" the fire came strangely. They didn't smell a trace of gas, and they didn't hear an explosion. Moreover, they did not feel the wind in this flat land surrounded by small alleys, but the fire came fiercely and urgently.
The three of them passed through the gate through which the Muggles had fled, and the room in the courtyard facing the gate was illuminated by a raging red flame.
Almost as Alan and the others entered the door, a spire-like flame burst out of the doorway of a room.
Alan and Ian stood in front of Jessica at the same time, which touched Jessica's heart. Jessica opened her mouth to say something, but was interrupted by a shrill pop, and the glass from the window fell into the yard and shattered all over the ground.
The flames grew higher and higher, and when Alan and the others looked up, they could see that the eaves were smoking, because the roof was hanging high, supported by some thick wooden beams, and had not collapsed for the time being.
At the same time, a hot, pungent and breathless smoke filled the courtyard. Neither to the left nor to the right, not a single figure can be seen.
Suddenly, Alan sprang to the room on the left, and Ian and Jessica hurriedly followed.
There was a long trail of ash on the ground leading to this room, and a fiery red light flashed through the room that had not yet burned.
In the most hidden and dark corner of this room, a red-flashing, gray-white, thin snake spat out a long letter, which suddenly shattered and turned into dust in the eyes of Allen and several others.
Several dazzlingly red eggs appeared in the dust, emitting a fiery glow.
"Freeze quickly!" Alan waved his wand, and the frost instantly enveloped several snake eggs and froze them.
"It'sโfire ash snake eggs!" Jessica looked at the snake eggs, recognizing where they came from.
"Well done, if you don't freeze these eggs in time, within minutes, this house will be set on fire. Ian was going to do it too, but Eren was quicker.
Alan picked up the snake eggs on the ground, "Those who see it have a share, just three." He smiled and handed the snake egg to Jessica and Ian.
They did not refuse, these snake eggs have great medicinal properties, they can be used to make an ineffable medicine, or they can be swallowed whole to treat fever.
Jessica opened the backpack behind her, "You can store them with me first, and then I'll get them to you when I get back." โ
Ian and Alan both handed the snake eggs to Jessica, and the three eggs were put in, and the backpack did not rise or fall in the slightest, it seems that this is still a backpack with a traceless stretching spell applied!
At this moment, the roof of the room in the middle of the courtyard was burning with a raging fire, and the fire came quickly, and as the house collapsed, there was a shocking, hollow and terrible sound, and a fierce flame rushed straight into the sky.
