Chapter 55: Restraint and Catharsis
"What kind of person is that person? I mean the one she followed. Huang Siyao asked.
"A big boy, he talks very vulgarly, she bullies him, and both of them drink."
"What if she returns?"
"Oh my God! Then I'll go and disappear again. β
They were silent again, and the cardboard in the fire had been reduced to ashes.
"So, when you get a woman who loves you," Ms. Huang said, "it doesn't take long for you to get tired of it." β
"That's right! It seems so! But I'd rather have this woman than the women who always say no, the pale woman of her youth, the poisonous lily, and the others. β
"What happened to the other women?"
"Other? Nothing else. In my experience, most women tend to be like this: they want a man, but they don't want sex, but they endure it because that's part of the deal. The more old-fashioned woman simply lies unconscious, letting you go ahead. They don't mind after that, they still like you. But the thing itself doesn't matter to them, it's a bit boring. And most men like it too. But I hate this. The cunning woman pretends that she is not like that. They pretend to be passionate, they pretend to be useful, but in fact they are just deceiving themselves, they are pretending. There is also the kind of person who loves everything, likes to touch, hug, catharsis, likes everything, but does not like nature. They always let you enjoy where you shouldn't. There is also the most troublesome type of people, who are simply companions to the devil, and they catharsis themselves like my wife. They want to be the one who takes the initiative. Then there is the group of people who are almost dead in their bodies, and they themselves know it. The other type of person is to squeeze you out before you can explode, and then twist your hips and put them against your legs to ventβ"
"You hate them, don't you?" Huang Siyao asked.
"I want to kill them. If I am with such a woman, my soul will howl and want to kill her. β
"Did you take action?"
"Hurry up and hug your head."
He looked pale and frowned.
"I'm here, do you regret it?" She asked.
"I regret it, but I'm happy."
"And now?"
"When I think about the outside world, I regret not doing it at the beginning. Sooner or later, it will invite trouble, make a scandal, and make people insulted. The thought of this makes me feel cold and depressed. But there are times when my blood is boiling, and I am happy and even proud at that time. I'm getting more and more disappointed. I don't think there's any real sex left in this world at all, and no woman can naturally reach the top with a man. β
"So now that you have me, are you happy?"
"Of course! With you I can forget everything else. When I can't forget, I want to die under the table. β
"Why do you want to get under the table?"
"Why?" He smiled, "Hide it, like a child." β
"You do seem to get along badly with women." She said.
"You see, I can't fool myself. Most men are self-defeating. They hold on to a notion, and then they let the lie go unchecked. I can't lie to myself. I know what I want to do with a woman, and I will never say I can do it without it. β
"So do you get it now?"
"Looks like I might be."
"Then you're still so pale and gloomy."
"My mind is full of the past, and maybe I'm afraid of myself."
She sat silently, late at night.
"Do you really think it's important, a man and a woman?" She asked him.
"I think so, anyway. In me, getting along with a woman is the backbone of my life. β
"What if it's not good?"
"Then I'll live on my own."
She pondered for a moment before asking, "Do you think you've always done the right thing, right to women?" β
"Oh my God, no! My wife became like that, and they all blamed me, and my fault was great. I'm used to her. Also, I'm a particularly suspicious person. Just wait and see. It's not easy for me to believe someone from the bottom of my heart. So maybe I'm a liar too. I'm suspicious. And gentleness cannot be feigned. β
She looked at him.
"You don't doubt your body when your blood is boiling," she said, "and you don't doubt it, do you?" β
"Nope! That's why I've gotten into so much trouble. That's why my heart is suspicious. β
"Let your heart go, what does it matter?"
The dog let out an uncomfortable sigh on the mat. The fire in the stove covered the ashes and weakened the flames.
"We're a pair of defeated soldiers." Huang Siyao said.
"Have you been beaten down too?" Li Guangfu smiled, "Let's go to the battlefield again!" β
"Good! But I'm scared. β
"Hey!"
He stood up, took Huang Siyao's shoes to the fire to dry, wiped his own shoes, and then put them on the edge of the fire. He'll oil his shoes early tomorrow morning.
When he returned, Huang Siyao said, "I also want to go out for a walk." β
She walked alone into the darkness outside. There were stars in the sky, she could smell the flowers in the night sky, and she felt that her wet shoes were even more damp. She felt like she was leaving, leaving him, and leaving everyone.
It was a little cold, so she shivered and went back inside. He was sitting in front of the faint fire.
"Shhhh She shuddered.
He added branches to the fire, and found more branches, until the fire in the furnace crackled and burned. The rising yellow flame warmed their faces, warmed their hearts, and made them happy.
"Don't care!" As she said that, she took his hand, and he sat silently at a distance from her, "Do your best." β
"Alas!" He sighed and smiled wryly.
She rubbed against him and threw herself into his arms, and he sat down in front of the fire.
"Forget it!" She muttered, "Forget! β
He hugged her tightly, both bathed in the firelight. The fire itself was forgetting something. She is so soft, warm and mature! Holding the woman's body, his blood flowed and began to surge, adding strength and courage to him.
"Maybe those women really want to love you well, maybe they don't. Maybe it's not all their fault. She said.
"I understand. Do you think I don't know what it's like to be a snake with a broken backbone? β
Hearing this, she immediately approached him. She didn't want to talk about it again, but some kind of perverted psychology made her say it.
"But you're not like that now," she said, "and you're not a snake that breaks your backbone!" β
"I don't know what I am, but I know bad luck awaits me."
"No!" She pressed her hand to him, "Why?" Why? β
"Bad luck is coming, and all of us are going to be bad luck." He repeated, uttering gloomy prophecies.
