Chapter XVII
Ziang slapped a piece of talisman paper on the door of one of the cubicles.
The rune paper burned violently, whirling the air around it, creating a small explosion. A few rays of light detached from the door, blurring it.
The fluorescent lamps on the roof of the shed flickered.
Ziang subconsciously raised his head. A large unidentified object fell right above his head and landed at his feet.
"Oops, Mom!" Ziang shouted in Chinese, took a step to the side, and looked down at the lump on the ground.
What fell to the ground was a puddle of palm-sized sticky substance. Its surface slowly squirmed, glowing with a silvery-gray glow.
"Oh, it's fine." Ziang showed a reassuring expression, "There are toilets around, I thought it was ......" He pondered for a moment, but did not finish his words.
The viscous substance crawled towards a compartment and moved down the compartment's bracket to the door panel. It snapped onto the door panel and stopped at the same height as Ziang's face.
"What do you want?" Ziang muttered, reaching out and pulling out a piece of talisman paper from the pocket of his pants.
The viscous substance suddenly pounced on Ziang's face.
Ziang, who had been prepared, tilted his head and slapped the rune paper on the flying thing.
The rune paper flew past Ziang's ear with the sticky substance, and it burst into flames, causing another small explosion that scattered the sticky substance.
Large and small pieces fell to the ground, melted into the tiles, and disappeared.
"It's kind of interesting." Ziang shrugged, "Now, can you let me out?" ”
Suddenly, a large cone-shaped object emerged from Ziang's feet.
Ziang instinctively leaned back and fell to the ground.
The surface of the cone also glows with a silvery-gray glow. It drilled straight up, melted into the roof of the shed, and then stabbed down directly above Ziang.
The other party moved far more than Ziang expected, and at the same time, he made an extremely stupid reaction - he twisted his head to the side, closed his eyes stiffly, and gathered all the organs on his face together.
The sharp cone stopped just right, allowing the tip to hover over Ziang's ear.
Ziang slowly opened one eye.
The fluorescent lamps on the roof of the shed burst out with a dazzling white light, engulfing everything in the room.
"It's not ...... What about playing with me......" Ziang stood up and muttered in Chinese.
This time, Ziang's surroundings turned into an ordinary university classroom.
Apart from the necessary desks, chairs, lecterns, and blackboards, there are no other furnishings in the classroom.
The blackboard depicts a labyrinth and a humanoid monster. The monster had two tentacles-like sticks sticking out of its waist, making it look a little scary.
Except for Ziang, who was looking left and right, there was no one else in the classroom. White light streams through every window, making it impossible to see what is happening outside the window.
The front door of the classroom was pushed open, and a woman with her hair coiled and wearing a dance costume walked in. She frowned and reached out to touch the outside of her left leg.
The place where the woman stroked was covered by white stockings, but the texture of the socks was a little thin and did not completely cover a slender scar.
"Kelly!" A man of medium stature hurriedly ran into the classroom, "I've been looking for you for a long time, but fortunately some students saw you walk in here." Don't run around anymore. ”
"I'm an adult, Donald." Kelly responded.
"I'm afraid you'll ...... again" Donald walked to the window closest to Kelly and reached out to close the curtains, "Forget it, don't talk about that." I think the interview just now was very successful, and I don't have to think about it to know the results. This is also as it should be, after all, your level is well above their standards. ”
"They've definitely noticed the scars." Kelly said angrily.
"I doubt it." Donald responded, "That's a small ......."
"Why do you have to keep those broken tools!" Kelly shouted, "Didn't you say okay and don't take care of the fields anymore?!" ”
"Yes, yes," said Donald hurriedly, "I've thrown them all away." Besides, I know that saying that won't make your scars go away, but at least in our home, something like that will never happen again. ”
Kelly let out a heavy breath and touched the scar on her leg again.
"From today, everything will be on track." Donald continued, "I'm going to drop you off at the door of the school building every time. I'll pick you up after class. With only a dozen students in a class, you can definitely handle it. The rest of the time, I'll run around selling my house and get ready for moving to the big city. It won't be long before you'll be completely well and on stage again. ”
Kelly shook her head. "You can't be like this all the time."
"What's wrong? Am I doing something wrong again? Donald asked.
"I mean," said Kelly, "you can't always think of my life as yours." ”
"I ...... Don't understand. Donald wondered, "Are you...... Want me to learn to dance too? ”
"You can't always carry me around and arrange everything for me and make me feel like I'm just a liability." Kelly tilted her head to the side.
"You're certainly not a burden." Donald raised his voice, "You're just...... There are issues that need to be overcome, and I'm happy to help. ”
Kelly shook her head again. "Let's go home." She said.
"Okay." Donald walked towards the classroom door, "Let me drive the car downstairs first." He stopped and looked back at Kelly, "You're going to ...... Accept the job, right? ”
"If I could come by myself, I would." Kelly said, "If I can't, probably, I'll sell handmade dolls for the rest of my life." ”
Dazzling white light erupted from the front door of the classroom.
"I might have a better way." In the white space, Donald whispered, "I'm a little thirsty, why don't we go find a nozzle water dispenser." ”
Once again, the scene has shifted.
Ziang returned to the room full of toilet cubicles.
"Still coming?!" Ziang hurriedly took out a piece of talisman paper and looked at his feet.
The fluorescent lamps on the roof of the shed flickered erratically, making the room flicker.
