Chapter 40: The March of Death (6)

"Your Excellency, our speed is too fast!" the first mate reminded Sylvia worriedly, glancing at the fleet that had been left far behind.

"I'll have to bite Jack or he'll run away again!" Sylvia calmly looked behind her and said, "As for them, they'll catch up quickly!"

The other captains of the Aracya's naval ships were dumbfounded! Could it be that the brave and fearless Commander was ready to defeat the entire Jack fleet with one of her flagships?

One of the captains who followed closely behind the flagship began to curse the stunned sailors on the sidelines: "You stupid and lazy pigs! Use all your strength to feed, we have to follow the commander!"

The sails of all the ships were full, and countless long oars protruded from the portholes and began to row the water at a rapid pace, like a swarm of water striders rushing against the water!

The pirates also discovered Erathia's naval flagship. The first mate immediately ran to Jack and asked, "Please give the order, before their fleet can all catch up, we will immediately start a battle formation and destroy the leading flagship!"

"She's seducing me into falling for it!" Jack suppressed his inner impulse and shook his head, "Maybe we can surround her, but her fleet will immediately be able to encircle us!"

The pirates gathered on deck, looking at the huge ship that charged over. The whole body of that ship was covered in cold blue-purple copper, and the bow of the ship had a huge angle of attack!

It was not only a ship, but a strong shield, not only a ship, but an indestructible spear!

"Retreat as planned!" Jack ordered, "Lead them into the depths of the Dark Gate, and then ambush them!"

The reef began to appear! Huge waves crashed against the reef and then crashed into pieces! The sea was covered with white foam.

The wreckage of the shipwrecked on the reef can be seen everywhere. They have all sailed the sea, but now all that remains is a stranded hull, or a half-mast sticking out of the water!

They may be pirate ships. Legend has it that the Ocean Hat and the Water God's Boots are hidden somewhere in this vast dark reef, but no one has ever been able to find these two treasures that navigators coveted. Instead, countless treasure hunting ships have been buried at the bottom of the sea.

Few people dared to come to this dark reef, except for the occasional visit by pirates with their heads pinned to their belts. If you're not a seasoned navigator, stay out of the way before it's too late! Even if the Reef Currents don't destroy your fleet, the pirate ships that roam everywhere will kill you!

Jack's performance left Sylvia feeling a little disappointed. As soon as he spotted the fleet of the Erathian navy, he immediately retreated towards the Dark Gate. However, Sylvia managed to capture the last ship of Jack's fleet, and the narrow entrance to the reef could not pass too many ships at once.

Sylvia's smooth flagship slammed head-on into the hapless pirate ship, its massive angle of charge piercing its side like a swordfish stabbing a squid in the waist.

On deck, sailors had swords in their mouths and scratching hooks in their hands. At the moment when the two ships collided, they threw out the hooks in their hands and grabbed the side and cable of the opposing ship. With a loud crack in the deck, they flew towards each other's ships.

There was no bombardment from trebuchets, and no salvos from bows and arrows. The only blame is Sylvia's ships for coming too fast.

The sound of weapons clattering was incessant.

"Come on, let's fight it out the traditional way!" Sylvia stepped on the bow of the ship and jumped onto the deck of the pirate ship.

All the pirates and soldiers stopped and watched each other's commanders begin to confront.

"They say you're very powerful, and in my opinion you're just a who doesn't know how to beat you!" a one-eyed pirate shook his sword and said defiantly, "I've already conquered a lot of women in my crotch, and it looks like I'm going to conquer another one today!"

The pirates burst out laughing.

"You're Lacey?"

"You're very discerning!" the pirate sneered.

"You are Jack's lackey, a traitor to my father, an accomplice in my father's murder!" Sylvia approached, "I will recognize every one of you even if you turn to ashes! Come, let me see how powerful your crotch is! If you can't satisfy me, I'll cut it off with my own hands and feed it to the fish!"

"You'll see it in a moment!" Lacey swung his first sword at Sylvia!

In the cramped deck space, no one dared to retreat. Because there are pirates and soldiers all around, anyone can coldly swing a sword at your back.

This is a duel of pirates! Win and control the lives of the opposing ships and sailors, and if you lose, you will be exiled or thrown into the sea to feed the fish!

Since you can't retreat, let's strike the iron on the ground! Swords and swords and shields will always splash a series of sparks!

The pirates and soldiers began to bet. This is a rare entertainment on the sea, so let's enjoy this rare peace!

After placing a bet, you always have to support your player with a hoarse shout. When one of them swings his sword and brings out a streak of blood, it always makes some people crazy and excited, while others let out bursts of regret.

Now that Sylvia's sword was at Lacey's throat, the pirates began to drop their swords one after another. Those who refused to surrender were tied up by the navy soldiers.

"Lacey, it seems that you spend far more energy under your crotch than you spend on your sword!" Sylvia's sword tip exerted a slight force, and blood beads immediately rolled down the spine of the sword: "Kneel down, I will reward you with a whole corpse!"

"I'm not going to kneel down to you little slut!" Lacey held his head high, "If you want to be a traitor, it should be your father!" He betrayed all the pirates and chose to surrender to Geffenhardt, and he even demanded that we give up the life we were used to!"

"Don't you have a family of your own? If you don't agree with my father's advice, you can choose to leave him, why do you use such a despicable trick as murder?"

"Do you think we don't want to? Who do you think was born to be pirates? We brave the storm and toil at sea to fish, and only half of the fish belongs to us, and we can't even feed our own families! As for you, Sylvia, how can you young ladies know about the suffering of the common people? If we don't kill him, sooner or later he will lead a fleet to kill us!"

"You don't need to quibble about your actions! Yes, there are many injustices in this world, and you have suffered many misfortunes, but your use of blood and violence will only make this world more unjust and cause more misfortunes!"

"I can't tell you, Sylvia!" the stubborn Lacey shook his head and said, "Since I have been defeated by your sword, I will do with you!"

Sylvia withdrew her sword, walked over to sit down in a pile of cargo crates, and looked at Lacey on the deck in a daze.

"What are you going to do with them?" asked the first mate in a low voice as he walked over to her side.

"Let's follow the old rules, let the god of the sea decide their life and death!" Sylvia sighed: "Give them a boat and let them go!"

"I hope they will be kind to us in the future!" muttered the first mate.

"They are not the culprits...... You know, I can't kill all the people who have betrayed my father!"

There were only a few people willing to follow Lacey. Only a fool would continue to follow him, and in such terrible sea conditions, there is a good chance that he will die if he is banished!

Lacey stood in the boat, his body undulating with the waves. He threw up his head and shouted, "Sylvia, leave the Dark Gate, Prince Roland of Dia may be in need of you!"

"What do you mean?"

"Go to the Silver Horn, or there won't be any more living people in Dia!"

"I won't listen to you, Lacey!" Sylvia sneered, "Do you want me to withdraw? I won't withdraw until Jack and his fleet are completely wiped out!"

"I've said everything I need to say, it's up to you whether you listen or not!"

The banished pirates began to paddle, and in the rushing water, the boat resembled a floating leaf.

The fleet, which had lagged behind, finally caught up. They lined up outside the Dark Gate, waiting for the commander's final decision.

"Do we need to follow up, Your Excellency Commander, Jack has only fifty ships, which is only one-sixth of ours!" reminded the first mate.

"Why did you want to go in?" Sylvia shook her head in surprise: "I dare say he and his comrades are waiting for us inside! If he wanted to fight me, he would have swallowed my bait in one gulp! Since he withdrew in, it was because he was using himself as bait!"

Who is the real fisherman? No one can know until victory is revealed.

"Immediately order half of the fleet to block the other exit of the Dark Gate!" Sylvia said categorically, "I won't be fooled by him!" When we lock them up in the Dark Gate long enough to have no food or fresh water, they will naturally come out to fight us!"

Degar hurried to the Valley of the Waterfalls. In addition to half of his own legion, he was assisted by another legion.

"You fools!" said Degar, who had listened to the report, angrily, "I want to click you all!"

"Perhaps, as they say, Miss Jasmine is a spy sent by Roland and Catherine...... "Another Legion Commander said in a round for the defeated generals.

"Send a brigade of terror knights and go after her at once!" Degar ordered.

A necromancer immediately took the order.

"Now take me to the front line!" Degar glared at his men hatefully.

On the battlefield, the fire is still burning. The hillside was littered with the remains of the undead, and arrows digging deep into the soil!

"We attacked twice, but both were repelled by Roland......" said a necromancer trembling in horror.

"He's very good at choosing a place to block!" Degar nodded: "But he's only such a small person, and he actually delayed you for two days?!"

"He has chosen many of his captives to fight for him, Your Excellency...... He has at least 5,000 men!"

"Can those captives still be called people?" said Degar contemptuously, "even if they still have a breath, they are still half-dead!"

Out of the corner of his eye, Degar saw another corps commander who had accompanied him with reinforcements. He was pouting with disdain.

Degar thundered. He immediately stepped on his horse and commanded in a loud voice: "I order: all troops rush up the hill at once, and capture Roland alive for me, and I will skin him with my own hands!"

With a rumbling sound, the iron hooves of the Terror Knight began to knock on the earth. Behind him was the chanting of a large group of necromancers, and countless pairs of bony hands stretched out from the ground, surging towards the hillside in waves.

The soldiers standing on the hillside collapsed under the onslaught of death ripples.

Wielding a dark long knife, Degar was the first to rush up the hill.

"This is the hillside you attacked for two days?" Degar roared angrily on the hillside.

The necromancers followed. They looked around, only to see that there was not a single living person on the ground!

"I really want to gouge out your eyes with my own hands!" Degar slashed a standing corpse in half: "Look at this man, he is only supported by a wooden stick! Smell his body again, this man has been dead for at least three days!"

"And him!!!" and him!!" Degar slashed his horse and slashed after slash, "You have frightened a group of dead people!"

The necromancers were dumbfounded. Two days ago, they had already made Roland lose his armor, and when they talked about this small hill, they were afraid, where would they dare to distinguish the authenticity from the fake?

The other corps commander carefully discerned the remaining marks on the ground, then stood up and clapped his hands, "I dare say they retreated yesterday afternoon!

"They can't go fast!" said Degar angrily, "so be it, I will follow them in pursuit, and you will lead your legions to outflank them!"

"That's good! I'll take Silverhorn at once and block their retreat!" The legion commander nodded, "Then, let's go on a killing spree on this path!"
