Under the careful planning of my Buddha, under the specific guidance of Guanyin Bodhisattva, and with the active cooperation of all kinds of immortals, the four masters and apprentices centered on the poor monks lasted 14 years, traveled 108,000 miles, experienced 9981 difficulties, and finally obtained the Mahayana scriptures of my Buddha, and successfully completed the task of learning the scriptures. The main reason why we were able to obtain the true scriptures was that we did the following things on the way:

First, attach great importance to ideology. Since I parted with Tang Wang, I have attached great importance to this mission ideologically, when I was alone, I have experienced difficulties such as robbers, wild beasts, heavy and bad weather, the taste of which is indescribable, but I have never given up in thought. Because only by obtaining the true scriptures can we save the common people, and only by obtaining the true scriptures can we become Buddhas.

2. Accelerate the process of transformation. When I received the task of learning the scriptures, I began to transform from a monk who was a monk for a day to a person who studied the scriptures. Not only to transform themselves, but also to transform their apprentices, demons and monsters. The eldest apprentice, Sun Xingzhi, is brutal by nature, born in barren mountains and mountains, does not know the general situation, has a criminal record, and once made trouble in the Heavenly Palace, making the Jade Emperor unpeaceful, and it is very difficult to make him change. I rescued him at the foot of the Five Fingers Mountain, recited my Buddha's scriptures to him, made him realize the seriousness of his mistakes, and after my patient persuasion and education and 30 times a day, he obediently stayed by my side and became my right-hand man. The second apprentice Zhu Bajie, once the marshal of the canopy, had a style problem, because of the teasing of Chang'e was demoted to the lower realm, I accepted him as an apprentice in Gao Laozhuang, and told him the truth that emptiness is color, color is emptiness, so that he has a great change, and later I heard that there are some verbal impulsive excesses on the way, but also because his six roots are not purified, and the external influence is too deep, all of them are done behind my back, I don't know. The third apprentice, Sha Wujing, was originally a general in the sky, but he was demoted to the quicksand river, and his heart was full of resentment, and he accepted him as a disciple for the sake of eating all the people in front of him, so that he changed from a monster who ate the scriptures to a scripture learner, and also told him the truth that he couldn't get along with the leader, and accelerated his transformation.

3. Concrete embodiment in action. With the attitude that before becoming a Buddha, you must first have a Buddha's mind, and at all times and under all circumstances, you should restrain yourself with the actions of a Buddha. The youkai we killed were just the tip of the iceberg, and many more were persuaded by me to send me back. And I will give them reason, that they may know right from wrong, and that they may be convicted of their sins. (There are too many specific examples, so let's omit them.) Only those who are stubborn or have a background are still obsessed for a while, but as a result, those who are obsessed have been eradicated by me, and those who have a background have been repatriated to their original owners. To be clear, I haven't touched a single hair of them.

Fourth, rewards and punishments are clear. Without strict discipline, there will be no internal unity, rewards and punishments are not clear, and the public cannot be served. When you are awarded, you can eat more, drink more, and work less night shifts. When punishing, he must not be merciful, and when he beat the white bone spirit three times, he canceled Sun Wukong's qualification to learn scriptures. It's just that he is usually too meritorious, and he is suspected of overstepping his bounds.

5. Don't be moved by money, power, or women. There are too many specific examples of the temptation of money, power, and sex on the way to learn the scriptures, and there are too many to mention. A total of 158,654 taels of gold and silver were refused, 76 times were refused, and 144 women were refused. Those are all fleeting, not what I need, although it is impossible to say that there is no money on the way to learn the scriptures, but I still insist on living on the fast that I have come. Later, I heard that someone was accepting money and property in my name, but it was all done without my knowledge, and I didn't know it. If I find out who it is, I'll deal with it strictly.

The above are a few aspects of my journey to learn the scriptures, and they cannot represent all of them. My achievements are much more than that.

By the way, under the command of the poor monk, the apprentices also cooperated in several small actions.
