Chapter 47: Impressions of Valentine's Day
Soon it's Valentine's Day in the West, which happens to be a Sunday. To be honest, I don't really have any good impressions of this festival. Yesterday, I heard that there seemed to be a Russian girl crying upstairs, and most of the crying reached downstairs. I haven't figured out what's going on. Some people say, isn't it Valentine's Day again, a few happy and a few sad!
Andrei came over excitedly and said he wanted to take me out to play.
All right! I dressed up and went out with him, and the atmosphere on the street was much better than in the dormitory, not only did no one cry, but I saw happy couples everywhere. Andrey and I went shopping and ate together, and I joined them. It's getting late, I want to go back, Andre hugged me and pointed to the hotel opposite and said, if you think the dormitory is not good, how about we stay in the hotel today? I glanced at him and thought to myself, what the hell did he think after only a few days? I don't live here!
Andre seemed a little frustrated to see that I didn't agree, he wasn't as excited as he was when we came out to play today.
Walking to the subway station, there was an old lady who sold me her flowers. To be honest, it was still very cold in Moscow in February, especially at night, and the old lady looked very pitiful and wanted to take advantage of today's lover to save energy and sell some money. She only had two small bouquets of flowers in her hand, and I stopped and watched the old man who was going to buy her a bouquet. Andrei was clearly not interested in the little bouquet. The old lady was afraid that I would not buy it, so she persuaded me and said:
- "Buy it, girl, this flower is as beautiful as you, and it smells like you, you smell it!" β
As she spoke, she brought the bouquet under my nose. I did smell a very strong aroma. The bouquet is particularly simple, with small blue-purple flowers paired with a few small white flowers. Although plain but also elegant. Andrei handed the money to the old lady, who happily said words of blessing to us.
There were quite a few people on the subway, and I was lucky enough to come across a seat, Andre standing across from me. Andrei has the same habit as many young Russians, even if there are empty seats on the subway, they don't take them. Sitting next to me was a chubby old man. He looked to be sixty or seventy years old, with a kind appearance, and wore these glasses without frames. The old man looked at me and kept sniffing the flowers in my hand, turned his face sideways and asked me with a smile:
- "Boyfriend sent it?" β
I nodded and responded with a smile:
- "It's smelly, you smell it." β
Saying that, I sent the flower under his nose, and the old man sniffed it and said with a smile
- "It's very fragrant!" β
When we arrived at the station, we got off the train and changed trains, seeing that the subway we were going to do was about to close. We rushed into the subway, and luckily the door closed behind us. There were not many people in the subway, Andre walked towards the center of the subway, I was glad that I had caught up, but suddenly I felt that I was pulled by something and couldn't walk, and when I looked back, the strap of my coat was caught by the door of the subway, and I pulled it twice, but I couldn't pull it out. There were young men standing on either side of the subway door, and I don't know if they knew each other. Then I saw one of them say to the other, "To open the door, you have to go to the stop in Chinatown." I just reacted, the next stop, don't open the door on my side, then the two of them helped me pull the strap out of the door, I didn't have time to say thank you, as soon as I turned around, a person blocked in front of me, one hand pushed the door behind me above my shoulder, Andrei asked me angrily:
- "What's wrong?" "I told him that the strap of my clothes was caught in the door.
- "Why don't you call me?" Before I could finish my words, Andrei shouted to me.
I want to say, I haven't had time to call you, and I haven't waited for an answer. Andre, pull me up and walk towards the middle of the subway, I don't even have time to say thank you to the two boys. I was dragged away by him. I don't think those two young people reacted to what had happened!
Standing in the middle of the subway, I was trembling with anger by Andrei's unreasonable actions! What a shame! I thought to myself that the two people who helped me must have thought that I was particularly rude, and did not even say a word of thanks, and Andrei was even more excessive, as if they had offended him. People must wonder who we are!
Thinking of this, I looked at Andre, his face was pale, he looked at the window angrily, the subway was speeding, I wanted to reason with him, but I thought that there were so many people on the subway, we really shouldn't be embarrassed here.
After getting off the subway, I was about to accuse Andrei of how perverted his behavior was just now. But he opened his mouth and shouted at me:
- "On the subway, how can you talk to people like this?" β
- "What is talking to someone?" How did I get accosted with someone? What exactly are you trying to say? β
I was so confused by Andrei's words that I didn't even know how to reason with him about today's events.
- "What's going on with those two?" β
- "The strap of my clothes got caught in the door, and they pulled it out for me"
- "Why don't you call me?" Why should they help you, I think if it were someone else, they wouldn't care! β
- "Andrey, what did you say? I still want to say, you are so embarrassing to me today, I didn't even say a word of thanks, and let you take it away! β
- "It's not enough to say thank you, you should kiss them!" β
- "............" I was so angry that I couldn't speak.
- "Someone also asked about taking a bouquet of flowers, aren't you tired of talking to him!" Also, I haven't taught Chinese on the subway today, and I'm not afraid of being tired of teaching Chinese, and I'm afraid of saying a few words."
Listening to Andrei's unreasonable words, my angry tears rained down, I threw the flower on the ground, turned around and walked like a dormitory.
After a while, Andrei caught up, and he took me by the arm and said;
- "Linna, I mean to say ......" He was a little incoherent and tried to explain his words.
- "What else do you want to say?" I cried as I walked angrily.
AndrΓ© followed me all the way to my bedroom. I knew I couldn't get him. Contrary to the feeling of wanting to reason with him when I first got out of the subway, I don't bother to say a word to him now. Andrei wanted to come and hug me, I cried, don't touch me, and he withdrew his hand.
I sat on the bed and wept alone. Andrei stood next to me, he looked at me, did not dare to move, did not dare to speak.
I've never thought Andre was so annoying as he was today!
I was tired of crying and started to channel my breath there.
Andrei approached me and said
- "It's my fault, if I had held your hand today, it wouldn't have happened. β
