Chapter 439: Sanzang, You Have a Relationship with Me; The Three Realms are idealistic, and the Ten Thousand Laws are only knowledgeable.

Buddhism seems to be a whole, but in fact, the internal mountains are full of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas who have attained the fruition, but individuals also have their own selfish calculations.

If he is truly selfless, he will also be ruthless, so what is the difference between good and evil in his eyes?

Just as the avenue is unkind, all things are used as dogs, only in this way can we achieve equal treatment.

And compassion may also be a manifestation of selfishness.

And at this moment, just when the monks thought that no one responded to the words of the Buddha, they saw that there was a Buddha who came to Sanzang on the lotus platform, but put his hands together, did not recite the Buddha's name, and only said: "I heard that Sanzang is proficient in Hinayana teachings, I wonder if you are interested in having a fun discussion with the poor monks?" ”

The person who came was none other than the Buddha of Lingshan, the guide of one of the two sages of the West, the embodiment of the Three Realms.

When he was sanctified, he made a promise to make the West prosperous. Compared with his junior disciple Quasi-Daoist, the Daoist is much purer, even if the Lingshan Buddhist Mahayana replaces the Hinayana person, as long as the West can prosper, he will not only not intervene, but also have to help.

It's like that day, the crack in the demon world in the Asura realm was fixed, so that the Buddha could escape into the demon realm and see the white-clothed kinara.

In this regard, it is still a pity to introduce the Buddha, after all, the current master personality of "Moluo" is the Demon Ancestor of Wutian, although the white-clothed Jinnara can also have some impact on Wutian, but. After all, the effect is limited, and it is not as effective as directly facing the lawlessness.

But the creation makes people, and I don't know if Lao Jun and the Jade Emperor are intentional or careless. actually chose to enter the demon world at the same time as them, causing Wutian to have to separate into two places.

And there is another thing that makes the Buddha curious. How dare he go to see the Jade Emperor?

Seeing that the Jade Emperor, didn't he let the white-clothed Jinnaro go to be safer and more reliable?

And after the Buddha came back, he didn't explain the reason to himself clearly, plus the Demon Realm and the Three Realms have not yet merged after all, and under the chaos of the heavens, it is really difficult to calculate.

I had no choice but to do it.

The right person led the Buddha to listen to the Tantric Buddhism of the Three Tibets, and saw him fighting with the Vajrapani Bodhisattva and the Fudo Bodhisattva. I also admired again and again in my heart, the "Tang Sanzang" who came from the reincarnation of the calamity is really not the reckless "Golden Cicada" in the past.

Not only the Buddha, but even the Buddha believes that today's "Sanzang" takes over Lingshan, which is indeed a very suitable candidate. If it weren't for this incarnation of himself here, the Buddha would want to cut off the "Three Tibets" and take them under his own door.

The saints who were introduced to the Three Realms did not really belong to their own personal disciples. As for the disciples such as Maitreya, Kinara and Medicine Master, they are all from the disciple of the disciple Zhun Ti, but when they apprentice, they also worship together with the leading saint, which is also called the leading saint as the teacher.

Now he is just an incarnation of the Buddha, although he has a heart of love, but he does not show it because of this. After all, when I was on Lingshan before, I had already had contact, and the Buddha knew that this Sanzang Master seemed to be humble, but in fact he was unruly, and he still had to think about it in his heart, otherwise he knew that Sanzang would refuse, and he would have to say it in public, and the face of the Buddha would not look good.

Da Ri Rulai just invited Sanzang to join the Esoteric Sect, which is already a bit excessive. If you want to accept Sanzang as a disciple, it will be even more sinister.

Receiving the Buddha's practice of enlightenment is undoubtedly above the Zhun Ti Sage, if the Zhun Ti Sage moves the same thought, I am afraid that the sentence "Sanzang, you have a fate with me" will not be able to run.

Kong Xuan back then, and now the Peacock Daming King, was forcibly abducted and brought back by the Zhun Ti Sage.

The Buddha is also very proficient in the Mahayana teachings, and he has also studied all the three Tibetan scriptures in the Tibetan Scripture Pavilion.

I have to say that Rulai and the three masters, in order to establish Mahayana Buddhism, did spend a lot of hard work, although a large part of those Mahayana scriptures are on the opposite side of the Hinayana side, but in the eyes of the Buddha, this is more like carrying forward and inheriting.

Hinayana teachings do have their limitations.

This point has never been denied by the Buddha, and the reason why he likes Sanzang is that he likes Sanzang's unrestrained view and can absorb the essence of other sects and other sects.

In particular, it is even more commendable to be compatible with both Mahayana and Hinayana paths.

After all, on the spiritual mountain, the opposition between Mahayana and Hinayana has always existed.

The monks in the Mahavira Treasure Hall, as well as Fahai himself, and even the Buddha who was above the golden lotus, actually did not expect that what was "standing up" at this moment would be to lead the Buddha, and it seemed that they would also discuss this "Hinayana teaching" with the Sanzang.

Who among the monks present did not know that this "Hinayana teaching" was written by the hands of the two Western religious masters?

Nowadays, Sanzang came to Lingshan from the Tang Dynasty to learn scriptures and debate Buddhism, precisely because the Hinayana of the Tang Dynasty is prevalent, the Mahayana is not obvious, and Sanzang is the first monk of the Tang Dynasty, and the level of its Hinayana teachings is naturally beyond doubt.

It's just that on an occasion like today, isn't it a little inappropriate to talk about Hinayana teachings?

But Fahai clearly doesn't care about that.

"Amitabha."

For the proposal to receive the Buddha, Fahai gladly accepted, and was eager to try, "I don't dare to ask for ears, I want to do what I want, and the little monk first thanked the Buddha for his fulfillment." ”

If it was in the past, Fahai's understanding of Hinayana Buddhism was not profound, but after coming to this world, his Hinayana Buddhism was inherited from Sanzang, and then combined with his own perception of Buddhism, it was naturally a higher level.

Mahayana and Hinayana are both Dharma, and perhaps there is a difference between difficulty and ease in the understanding of the scriptures, but there should be no difference between the upper and lower levels.

"Please."

As soon as the Buddha stretched out his hand, he motioned to Sanzang to speak first.

Then, I heard Sanzang speak: "There is only one Buddha in the world, therefore, the Buddha is not the Buddha, and the Buddha is not the Buddha." ”

As soon as these words came out, the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas in the Mahavira Hall changed their faces together.

But soon, the monks also subsided, after all, this is the most fundamental way to distinguish between Hinayana and Mahayana. Not only is there only one Buddha, but in the Hinayana teachings, there is not even a bodhisattva, and the highest is to attain arhat and Buddha.

After all, Theravada Buddhism specializes in the path of liberation, which is the path of life and death that is disgusted with the heavens, and after practicing the fruits, he does not want to come back to sentient beings again, but only seeks to live and die and enter Nirvana forever.

The Mahayana Bodhisattva Path, generally speaking, attaches equal importance to self-discipline and others, but in practice, according to different personal temperaments, there will naturally be different emphasis.

But, this is for those mortals!

Otherwise, before the emergence of Mahayana Buddhism in Lingshan, where did those Buddhas come from?

In this regard, Fahai gave an explanation: "Buddha is not Buddha, Buddha is not Buddha. ”

The Zen machine is actually very simple, and it does not have too many profound meanings, at least all the monks present still understand it.

"Wonderful." After listening to Sanzang's words, the Buddha stroked his palms and smiled: "We don't have the name of a Buddha in vain, and there is no reality of a Buddha." ”

The Buddha Nyorai, who was sitting on the golden lotus, glanced at Guanyin Bodhisattva and seemed to say, "Is the reason why these three Tibetans are unwilling to become Buddhas because of the relationship between practicing the Hinayana teachings?" ”

The Bodhisattva shook his head slightly, "If this is the case, Sanzang has already fallen into silence, where is there any need to learn scriptures?" ”

"By cultivating Hinayana practice, you can cut off all your troubles in the Three Realms and transcend the cycle of birth and death." The Buddha asked Sanzang: "You are a monk of the Tang Dynasty and have profound Buddhist knowledge. Why is there a delay in preaching? ”

Fahai also has nothing to hesitate about, "Poor monks do not seek liberation, they cannot live and die, and they cannot destroy those who are born after cultivating Hinayana with all their body and wisdom, and they lose their humanity and are unwilling to do so." ”

To put it simply, the core meaning of Fahai's words is: I understand the truth, but I just don't want to.

Without waiting for the Buddha to speak, Fahai asked the Buddha rhetorically: "And what is liberation?" ”

The Buddha put his hands together: "Freedom from suffering and happiness, freedom from the sea of suffering in the world, complete liberation from the suffering of samsara, enlightenment without increasing or decreasing, and the original mind that is not born and immortal." What does Sanzang think? ”

"Extinguishing the illusory appearance, the rotation of fame and knowledge, breaking the cause and effect of the previous and subsequent lives, the entanglement of karma and retribution, beyond the reincarnation. This may be a relief. When Fahai said this, he paused for a moment before he continued: "Hinayana takes the four fruits as the ultimate fruit of perfection, and when you see and think, you can go out of the Three Realms and become an arhat fruit. Exactly. ”

Outside the main hall, there may be many monks who may not be too familiar with the Hinayana teachings, but in this Mahavira hall, even if the monks have not deliberately practiced the Hinayana teachings, they still know the content of some Hinayana teachings.

The four types of Hinayana practice are actually the four stages of Hinayana shravakayana practice: Sudra Fruit, Stohan Fruit, Anahama Fruit, and Arhat Fruit.

Among them, the arhat fruit is said to have broken the three realms of contemplation and troubles, the ultimate saint position, and it is the highest state in Hinayana .

The liberation of the Mahayana teachings is different. In the ten Mahayana lands, you only need to attain the first land, which is liberation; And then go up, until you become a Buddha, and your liberation realm will naturally gradually go deeper. The fruit position of the Buddha is the ultimate position of Mahayana Buddhism, and one must diligently practice the six ten thousand actions, act righteously with the truth and righteousness of the middle way, break through the confusion of dust and sand, and break through the confusion of ignorance, so as to attain the path of Buddhahood.

"And the little monk thought." Fahai slowly spoke, "Liberation is nirvana, and the attainment of the realm of self-nature nirvana—"

"One of them comes from sexual purity and nirvana. It is said that all the Dharma is true and reasonable, although there is objectivity and the nature is pure; It has an infinite amount of subtle merits, no birth and no destruction, like nothingness; All sentient beings are equal and shared, and are no different from all laws; Away from all appearances and all differences, looking for ideas, famous words and judgments, only the true saint proves from within. Its nature is silent—"

"In the other, there is nirvana. It is said that it is true that there is an obstacle of afflictions, although there is a slight suffering that does not disappear, and the obstacle is eternal and silent—"

"The third is nirvana. It means that it is true that it is like the suffering of birth and death, the troubles are exhausted, the remnants are also extinguished, and all the sufferings are forever silenced——"

"Fourth, there is no place to live in Nirvana. It means that the truth is like being out of the obstacle of knowledge, and the great compassion is always supported by it, and it is impossible to live and die, nirvana, happiness and affection, and the future of poverty. Silence for a long time—"

"Therefore, it is called Nirvana."

After hearing this, the monks in the Mahavira Hall nodded their heads again and again, and had to say that the Buddhism of the Three Tibets is indeed profound, and there are only four categories, and they have discussed their different views of nirvana liberation from the four aspects of Buddha-nature, Hinayana sound and karma, and Mahayana.

The Buddhism of Sanzang has long been not confined to one family, and even has its own school.

After talking about "liberation and nirvana", then Fahai and the Bodhisattvas each argued the difference between "human self" and "dharma self", as well as the Hinayana and Mahayana views on both.

Finally, he also discussed the Hinayana classics such as "Long Ahama Sutra", "Middle Ahama Sutra", "Increasing One Ahama Sutra" and "Miscellaneous Ahama Sutra", and the three Tibetans always have witty sayings.

After the end of the discourse, the Buddha couldn't help but say to Master Sanzang: "The poor monks who have benefited a lot from the Sanzang Sutra have benefited a lot, which shows that Theravada Buddhism, after all, still has merit." ”

Actually, whether it's Hinayana or Mahayana. Or the rest of the Buddhist sects, the original source. Even their outward manifestations are very different. But at its core, it is a method of persuading people to do good.

At the end of the original discourse, he was about to return to his position to receive the Buddha, when he suddenly asked Sanzang: "I don't know what Sanzang you have about these many sects of Buddhism?" ”

After Fahai was silent for a moment, he slowly spoke: "Ten thousand laws are only knowledgeable. ”

The Three Realms are idealistic, and the Ten Thousand Laws are only knowledgeable.

This is the doctrine of the Enlightenment Sect, that all the missing dharmas in the Three Realms, as well as all the non-leaking dharmas, are due to the Eight Consciousness Heart Kings; Even the method of no leakage and no action is also revealed by the King of the Eight Senses. If there is no king of the eight consciousnesses, there is no way to obtain all the laws, and if there is no king of the eight consciousnesses, all the laws cannot be born, so it is said that all the laws are only knowledgeable.

To put it simply, it is the image of everything in the Three Realms that appears when the mind is shaken, and the inner and outer worlds are all changes in the mind. The laws of change are numerous.

Of course, "Ten Thousand Laws and Wisdom" is only one of the teachings of the Wisdom Sect.

In the original world of Fahai, the Wisdom Sect broke off the inheritance, but the Central Plains Faxiang Sect, to a certain extent, inherited the mantle of Master Sanzang, and did not let the Wisdom Sect be completely cut off because of this.

Fahai is based on the Dharma Xiang Sect, according to his own Buddhist understanding, to establish a Wisdom Sect in this world.

"Ten Thousand Laws of Wisdom" is not unique to the Wisdom Sect, this is taken from the essence of the Yoga School of Mahayana Buddhism, and the Wisdom Sect and the Dharma Xiang Sect are responsible for carrying it forward.

Fahai has never been one to settle for the status quo.

Although his own comprehension is not low, even if he practices Zen Buddhism, he is definitely at ease.

It's just that compared to Zen Buddhism, which focuses on Buddha nature, Fahai himself is still more inclined to study the nature of Buddhism

But in fact, whether it is the enlightenment of Buddha nature in Zen Buddhism or the study and practice of Buddhism in Enlightenment Buddhism, it is obviously not so easy for ordinary people to practice.

Zen Buddhism pays attention to epiphany, and if it is really fateful, it will naturally have some understanding.

However, for the Enlightenment Sect, its Buddhism is subtle and mysterious, and it is unknowable, and if it is not for the monks who understand the Dharma, know the Buddha's nature, and understand the Buddha's principles, I am afraid that it will be extremely difficult to even get started.

This is the limitation of the original Wisdom Sect, and now Fahai has fallen into the same situation, and if he wants to get out of this situation, it seems that he has to find an opportunity among the Buddhas in this Daxiong Treasure Hall.
