Chapter 169: Farewell Reception
George pulled out a larger crystal piece from his pocket, and even Harry could tell that the patterns on it were more intricate and varied.
"That's it," said George, "but limited by its size, the terminus, that's what we call it, can only record information from ten communication crystals, and when one pair communicates, no one else can use it."
George was a little embarrassed, the finished product was far from his original idea, and he didn't know if it would live up to Professor Cape's requirements.
Calvin picked up the head and looked at it for a while, "It's not bad, at your level, it's already up to my standard."
After accepting the three of them's big assignments, Calvin was satisfied to let them leave first, and at the same time told them that they could continue to study with him next semester. This made the three little wizards excited.
-----------------
In the last few days of the semester, Calvin got busy again, first preparing to publish a book with Uncle Newt, the British chapter of Magical Creatures and Magic, which they decided to use as a textbook for their Magical Beasts conservation class next semester.
The second is that Omaha, who is far away in the United States, has sent him a steady stream of information about the Salem organization. Since the last time I received intelligence that the Salem group had infiltrated the UK, they had disappeared as if they had not made a splash in the UK.
This made Calvin a little uneasy, and he didn't know what crazy plans the group of lunatics were brewing, so he asked Omaha to keep asking for news, hoping to nip this disaster in the cradle.
The third thing was to hold a small farewell party for Buendia, who was about to leave safely.
The idea was proposed by Professor McGonagall, who has been in a good mood lately, first Harry Potter won the Golden Snitch in a Ravenclaw Quidditch match, which made Gryffindor lift the Quidditch trophy again, and then at the end of the school year, Dumbledore gave a lot of bells and whistles to make Gryffindor's score jump from fourth to first and win the House Cup.
"We should have a farewell party for Aureliano." Professor McGonagall suggested in the classroom lounge, "It's been years since a Defence Against the Dark Arts professor walked out of Hogwarts safely at the end of the semester."
This proposal was endorsed by almost all the professors present, except Calvin, Snape, and Aureliano himself.
However, Calvin's gentle smile indicated that he was not against the farewell party, and Aureliano was afraid that the farewell party would be extraneous.
As for Snape, his expression was more gloomy than usual, and Professor McGonagall was in as bad a mood as he was. He stubbornly believes that Harry Potter stole the House Cup belonging to Slytherin.
Everyone knew that Snape was in a bad mood, so they ignored his opinion. In this way, a group of teachers chartered three broomsticks in the evening and held a small farewell party for Buendia.
Professor McGonagall, the initiator of the gathering and the vice-chancellor of the university, was the first to address Buendia, "Professor Buendia, you are such a good professor, at least that's what the students say. And during your time at school, the discipline of the school has obviously improved, and almost all those harmful black markets and inferior potions have been found by you. If only you had been this professor." ….
Buendia's hairs stood on end when she heard this, and she hurriedly waved her hand and said, "No, no, I originally said that I would only teach for six months, but now that the time is up, I will resolutely stop doing it."
The follow-up professors also said the same, just some regrets and blessings. Only Professor Trelawney was different, and he had to pull Buendia to make a prophecy—
"Fire, Fire Dragon, Burning World ......"
Professor McGonagall walked over in embarrassment, trying to pull the drunken Trelawney away, "Sybil, you're drunk."
"No, I'm not drunk," Trelawney shook off McGonagall's hand and walked over to Buendia, staring at Buendia with her big eyes, much to the Brazilian wizard's discomfort, "You've been banished to the Burning Lands, where you're going to die or be reborn."
Professor McGonagall pulled Trelawney away anyway, and mouth-tossed to Boendy
Yah, "Don't believe her, she didn't calculate."
Snape watched as Professor McGonagall threw Trelawney onto the couch in the corner, waving her wand and covering her with a small blanket. He quietly moved to Calvin, who was also outside the crowd.
"Do you have any plans for the summer?"
Calvin's eyes didn't stay on Snape for too long, and he continued to look at the lively party scene not far away.
"There are plans, in addition to taking care of my reserves, I plan to go to Greece and Egypt."
"Where did you find Peter?" Snape's eyes lit up.
Calvin looked at Snape seriously this time and said solemnly, "Severus, I thought you knew the harm of finding Peter's plan, and even if you couldn't figure it out yourself, didn't Dumbledore explain it to you?"
How clever Snape was, how could he not know that looking for Peter now would almost be tantamount to exposing the fact that he was an undercover agent. But Snape really couldn't stand Peter for a moment to continue to live in this world.
Calvin watched Snape's pale face contort into a pained expression, and almost squeezed a sentence out of his teeth, "Calvin, I beg you. Kill Peter."
Calvin had never seen Snape speak in such a tone, but he quickly understood Snape, a soft and fragile place in the heart of a middle-aged man.
"Severus, I promise you that Peter will get what he deserves, but not yet." Calvin put his arm on Snape's shoulder, "I have to wait until he returns to England and is captured in a public place to let the world know that he is not a hero, but a traitor."
"But I don't care—" Snape's voice trembled, perhaps from a drink of alcohol, "I just want him to die!"
"I care," Calvin said, "a lot of people think Sirius' acquittal is just a political deal, and I want everyone to know that Sirius is the hero!"
Snape clenched his fists and quietly let go, regaining his cold tone, "Then I want you soon."
Snape had found a corner alone to drink, and tonight he wanted to throw away all his masks and get drunk.
Calvin thoughtfully placed whispering and breathless charms around him to make sure that no one would hear his drunken words. After the party, it was Calvin who brought Snape back to his own room.
"I'm such a sweet person." Calvin thought to himself.
