Chapter 13: Parting from King's Cross Station

Early in the morning, Carl had breakfast with the Weasleys.

Fred and George couldn't see anything wrong anymore, and Carl had to sigh at the magic of magic when he thought of their ghost crying wolf last night.

Ginny looked a little sluggish, and as she drank the milk, her little head almost fell on the cup.

Ron didn't seem to have much energy, he always kept his head down, teasing Percy's rats.

Hattings seemed to be very interested in the rat and stared at it intently.

Seeing this, Percy seemed to think of what he said last night and wanted to make amends, so he said to Ron, "Do you like this mouse?" ”

Ron stared blankly at Percy and didn't speak.

Percy said slowly, "Spotted is yours." ”

His words silenced the Weasleys, and everyone looked at Percy.

Carl was also a little surprised, and now he was sure that it wasn't his auditory hallucinations last night.

Percy's face flushed a little from the sight of the crowd - they didn't know what had happened last night - and he coughed and said, "Anyway, the blob is yours." ”

Seeing that everyone was still looking at him, he was curious about why he had made this decision, so he had to explain with a stiff neck: "I'm in the third grade this year, and I plan to take 12 O.W.L.S certificates, so I don't have time to take care of Spotted. ”

Carl didn't know what the O.W.L.S certificate was, but he had seen Percy feed Spotted before going to bed last night, and knew very well that Percy must have wanted the mouse named Spotted to bring to Hogwarts before this morning.

But Percy's words give the impression that he doesn't want blob, and wants to get rid of this burden.

He saw Percy's face getting redder and redder under the gaze of everyone, and Ron blushed, so as not to deepen the misunderstanding between the brothers, he interjected and changed the subject: "Ron, can you lend me Spotted?" ”

Sure enough, everyone's eyes were on Carl again. Percy let out a long sigh of relief and looked at Carl gratefully.

Karl smiled slightly, took out his wand, and pointed at the mouse, "Ron, this is a magic that I have figured out myself, I hope you can take good care of Spotted." ”

The magic he was using now was not the magic of the books, but the dyeing magic that he had accidentally discovered when he was researching his abilities before.

Karl looked at the breakfast at the table, his mind gradually weaving the spell, he cleared his throat, and waved his wand to light the specks at a fixed frequency:

"Daisies, sweet cream and sunshine turn this stupid fat mouse yellow."

Carl clenched his wand and repeated the spell he had just made up a few times, and the wand swung faster, and he could feel something flowing from his heart and then into the tip of the wand.

The people at the table looked at each other in surprise.

Spotted let out a frightened scream, his black-gray fur slowly but surely turning orange!

The original old and broken appearance has become much cuter at this time.

Ron happily took the blob and looked at it, "This magic is beautiful. ”

"When you have a wand, you can try it too." Carl smiled and touched Ron's head.

Fred and George marveled as they looked at Carl. They've forgotten how they were cleaned up last night.

"Can this spell be used on Percy?" I don't know if it was Fred or George asked.

Then they were again subjected to Mrs. Weasley's "education of love".

After dinner, they got into Mr. Weasley's car and got off in front of King's Cross Station after a not-so-short journey.

Between platforms 9 and 10 at King's Cross Station, not far from a wall, Mrs. Weasley began to instruct the children:

"Charlie, you're the first to walk in, Percy you're standing last. Ron hold your father's hand, Ginny must hold my hand. Fred, George, it's not your first time here, I'll take care of Carl later. ”

She paused and said to Karl again: "Just go straight to the ticket gate between platforms 9 and 10, don't stop, don't be afraid, just go straight in, it's important." Now, let's go! ”

Charlie pushed the luggage and soon disappeared, and Fred squeezed his eyes at Carl: "Then I'll go first." He pushed the cart and burrowed into the wall with a cheerful step.

Next it was Carl's turn. Carl took a deep breath, let his tension out, and trotted up to the wall. He didn't feel anything, and when he felt a resistance in front of him, he opened his eyes to find that he was no longer at King's Cross Station.

"Oh! Carl, can you force a little less? You almost killed me! ”

Fred touched his waist and grinned as he stood behind Carl's luggage cart.

A crimson steam locomotive is parked next to a platform packed with passengers. The sign on the train reads: Hogwarts Express, eleven o'clock.

Smoke from steam locomotives bilfted over the chirping crowd, and many children ran around. Amid the humming of the crowd and the cacophony of dragging heavy luggage, owls also chirped and chirped.

Carl looked back, and the location of the wall was now a wrought iron archway with the words: Platform 9 and 4/3.

Charlie stood aside, greeting some of his classmates in school uniforms from time to time.

"Wow! Why are you still standing here? ”

George, Percy, and Weasley walked in with their two youngest children.

Charlie said hello to them, and walked towards the front of the car with his salute, he was a prefect who had to go to the prefect's car.

Percy looked around, then said goodbye to the family, and Mrs. Weasley gave him a gentle hug and said, "Remember to keep an eye on Fred for me, George." ”

Percy looked at the two twins next to him who were glancing around, and nodded with a serious expression.

There were already a lot of students on the train, some leaning out of the windows to talk to their families, others calling friends to get together and have fun, Carl and the Weasleys pushed the cart towards the rear of the car, and finally found an empty car in the second half of the train.

Mr. Weasley and Mrs. Weasley kissed Fred and George, respectively, and said a few more words.

Mr. Weasley turned to Carl and said, "Welcome back to our house next time, Carl." ”

Mrs. Weasley said, "I hope you all get a Gryffindor, Carl." If Fred and George do anything wrong, I hope you can persuade them. ”

Carl nodded helplessly, along the way, the Weasleys had said similar things, and he didn't know how many times he had agreed.

Ron held Percy's mouseβ€”the mouse named Spotted had not yet turned its fur back, and was lying listlessly in Ron's palmβ€”and said excitedly, "Thank you, Carl, I'll try to master this magic!" ”

Ginny asked enviously, "Can I learn that magic too?" ”

Carl looked at the little girl who was about the same age as Ron and nodded, "Of course." ”

Although he didn't think that these two could succeed, it had nothing to do with qualifications.

Carl and the twins walked into the chosen compartment and set up their salutes, where they saw the Weasleys smiling at them with their two children in the middle of the window.

Fred and George also leaned out and waved outside, this was the first time they had left their family, their faces were not sad, but full of excitement.

A whistle sounded from the front of the car.

Ron, Ginny burst into tears.

"Don't cry, Ron, Ginny." Fred and George rarely showed a hint of panic, it wasn't the first time they had made their two younger siblings cry, but only this time the reason was completely different.

"Ron takes care of Ginny!"

"Ginny, we've got a broom in Daddy's utility room, it's almost broken, but you can try riding it!"

"Ron, you have a gift too! Rest assured, it's not a spider! On the table in our room! ”

The twins scrambled to comfort their younger siblings, trying to say something that would make them happy.

The train starts slowly.

Mrs. Weasley glared, and eventually all the blame and worry turned into a smile.

"Fred! George! Don't let mom down! Ron and Ginny shouted as they followed the empty train.

Fred and George could only wave desperately.

The air was filled with the sad smell of parting.

Carl looked at this scene, his mind a little sour.

If his parents were here, maybe it would be the same situation, right?
