Thou hast been troubled by troubles, but the rope has not been broken

Nine times out of ten, things are unsatisfactory in life, let the gains and losses follow the fate, don't force anything too much, don't blindly ask for something. Everything in the world turns empty, fame and fortune come to the first dream, you have figured it out, you have thought it through, people will be transparent, and your heart will be open-minded.

The emptiness of the heart and the absence of external disturbances are the foundation of people's happiness in the world.

There is such a poem:

There are flowers in spring, there are moons in autumn, cool breeze in summer, and snow in winter.

If there is nothing to worry about, it is a good time in the world.

The first two lines of this poem describe the scenery of nature: spring flowers and autumn moon, summer wind and winter snow, all of which are beautiful scenery in the world, which is pleasing to the eye and relaxing. However, the last two sentences turn the conversation around and say that there are people in the world who can't appreciate the beauty they have at the moment, but complain about spring and autumn, hate summer and fear winter, or yearn for the snow of winter in summer, and yearn for the beautiful sun of summer in winter, and never go well. This is because there are always "idle things on the mind", entangled in trivial mundane things, and thus losing themselves. As long as you let go of everything, appreciate the unique taste and charm of the four seasons, perceive and experience with a keen heart, and don't let troubles and prejudices stop your heart, you can realize the best environment of "good season in the world" anytime and anywhere. An unknown monk who struggled to find the path to enlightenment but found nothing. On this day, he passed by the restaurant, and his shoelaces were open. Just as he was tidying up his shoelaces, he happened to hear the singer upstairs singing: "You have no heart, I will rest ......" and suddenly realized. So the monk called himself "Gelou Monk". "If you have no heart, I will leave", the singer sings it as just a helpless comfort for a frustrated lover: Since you have no feelings for me, I will no longer worry about it. Although the singer is unintentional, it does not harm the listener's intention. In the ears of monks who have been seeking the Tao for many years without success, "I will give you a break if you have no heart" has a different taste. In his opinion, the so-called "you" means helpless inner troubles, which seem to be surging, but in fact they are illusory and unreal, and they are simply "unintentional". If afflictions are illusory, why bother looking for ways to get rid of them?

As long as we are going through life, there will inevitably be some things that occupy and linger in our hearts, so that we can't eat or sleep, but these things are not those things that are important and we have to pretend, but we mediocre people disturb ourselves. There was a young man who was going out of his house and saw an interesting thing on the way, he happened to pass by a monastery and wanted to test the old Zen master. He said, "What is Tuan Tuan Tuan? ”

"It's all because the rope is not broken." The old Zen master replied casually.

The young man was taken aback.

The old Zen master asked, "What surprised you so much?" ”

"No, Master, I'm surprised, how do you know?" The young man said, "On my way here today, I saw a cow tied to a tree with a rope through its nose, and the cow wanted to leave the tree and go to the pasture to graze. I thought that Master didn't see it, and he definitely couldn't answer, but I didn't expect you to say it in one bite. ”

The old Zen master smiled and said, "What you ask is something, and what I answer is reason; What you asked was that the ox was bound by a rope and could not be freed, and I answered that the heart was entangled in mundane affairs and could not be freed. ”

The young man realized. A kite, no matter how it flies, can't fly thousands of miles in the air because it is held by a rope; No matter how fierce a horse is, it can't get rid of the whip because it is held by a rope. Because of a rope, the kite lost the sky; Because of a rope, the buffalo lost its meadow; Because of a rope, the elephant loses his freedom; Or because of a rope, the horse could not gallop.

If you think about it, isn't our life often held by some invisible rope? Is it because you have some kind of knot in your heart at a certain stage? Isn't this story a lesson for you?

In fact, for us, fame and fortune are the rope, greed is the rope, jealousy and arrogance are also the rope, and some excessive demands are also the rope. There are many ropes that bind us, and a person, only by getting rid of these ropes of the heart, can he enjoy true happiness and experience the joy of being a human being.
