7. Be mutually beneficial, help each other
There is always a selfish side in human nature, and it is not a good thing to think about oneself without harming the interests of others, or even bringing benefits to others.
On a night when he couldn't see his fingers, a monk was walking on a dark road, and because the night was too dark, the monk was hit several times by passers-by.
In order to hurry, he continued to walk, and suddenly saw a man carrying a lantern walking towards him, and someone next to him said, "This blind man is really strange, he can't see anything, and he still shines the lantern every night." ”
The words of passers-by made the monks wonder, wouldn't it be too much for the blind to pick up the lamp? When the man with the lantern came over, he stepped forward and asked, "May I ask the donor, is it true that the old monk heard that you can't see anything?" ”
The man replied: "Yes, I have not seen anything since I was born, day and night are the same for me, I don't even know what the lights look like!" ”
The monk was very confused and asked, "Why do you carry a lantern when you can't see anything?" Is it to confuse others and keep them from knowing that you are blind? ”
The blind man said unhurriedly, "No, I have heard from others that every night people become like me, and they cannot see anything; Since there is no light at night, I just go out at night with a lantern. ”
The monk sighed infinitely: "You are really good at thinking about people, your heart is really kind!" It turns out that you are all for someone else! ”
The blind man hurriedly replied, "No, in fact I am for myself!" ”
The monk was stunned and very surprised, so he asked puzzledly, "For yourself?" How so? ”
The blind man replied, "Did anyone bump into you when you came here just now?" ”
The monk replied, "Yes, just now, I was accidentally bumped into by several people. ”
The blind man smiled and said, "I am blind and can't see anything, but I have never been bumped into by others." You know why? Because I was carrying the lantern, I illuminated myself so that they wouldn't hit me because I couldn't see it. ”
The idea of a blind man is very simple: to light a lantern to illuminate himself, so as not to be knocked down or even injured, this idea sounds a bit selfish, but from another point of view, his "selfishness" not only protects himself, but also helps others, and by the light of the lantern, passers-by also walk a lot more conveniently, and the result of this mutual "use" is reciprocity.
Anthony Robin said of Li Ka-shing, the richest man in China: "He has a lot of philosophies that I like very much. Once, someone asked Li Zekai that his father taught him some secrets on how to make money successfully. Li Zekai said that his father did not teach him anything on the way to make money, but only taught him the principles of being a man and living in the world. Li Ka-shing said to Li Zekai that if you cooperate with others, if you get seven points is reasonable, eight points are okay, then you can get six points. ”
That is to say: he makes others earn two more points. So everyone knows that cooperating with Li Ka-shing will make a bargain, so more people are willing to cooperate with him. Think about it, although he only scored six points, but now there are a hundred more people, how many more points does he get now? If you take eight points, a hundred will become five, and the result is a loss or a profit. There is a boss of a construction company in Taiwan, who started with 10,000 and grew into assets of 10 billion Taiwan dollars. How did he succeed? When he was working as a general manager in another company, he told his boss that if he succeeded, he hoped that he would succeed too. He showed his boss a report, which was a report on Li Ka-shing, and then wrote on it: "Seven points are reasonable, eight points are okay, then I only get six points." The same Li Ka-shing philosophy was applied to different people, and then he went from a small employee to a chairman worth 2.5 billion yuan. So, he works with anybody, he thinks like that, so he has more and more partners.
Li Ka-shing is a shrewd businessman, and doing business is for the purpose of profit, no one will do money-losing business, when cooperating with others, he always takes two points less, not that Li Ka-shing is not selfish, but his business methods are too clever! Other businessmen have earned two more points per business because of their cooperation with Li Ka-shing, but Li Ka-shing has earned a few hundred points more because of taking less than these two points, and this mutual benefit has brought benefits to both parties.
In the real society, as long as it is not harmful to others and self-interested, under the natural law of natural selection, reciprocity is a reasonable behavior, which is the manifestation of the pluralism and diversity of interpersonal interactions.
