Chapter 1172: Sowing Good Fortune

With regard to the offerings of the Treasure King, if there is a separate cup of protectors, they should be offered with milk or tea, and the milk or tea that has been offered cannot be drunk, but can only be poured out and given to the three evil realms like the water offered to the Buddha. The King of Treasure did not offer wine.

If you don't have a Dharma Protector Cup, you can just make offerings with other Buddhas and Bodhisattvas (the Treasure King is also a Bodhisattva).

The Treasure King's Prayer is recited three times before each mantra, followed by 108 or more mantras.

For all disciples who take refuge in Guru Karma Rinpoche, the last mantra that the Guru initiates at the time of refuge is the Treasure Heavenly King Mantra, and it is very different from the universal mantra. Attentive disciples can take out their own refuge certificate and compare it with the universal mantra of the Treasure Heavenly King: "Hum Besha Vana Ye Stud".

The first half of the sentence means "to pray for the heavenly king of wealth", and the second half of the extra sentence means "give me the treasure!" This is a hidden treasure unique to the Nyingma Kata lineage.

In Tibetan Buddhism, there are many gods of wealth headed by the king of wealth, for example, if the king of wealth is the king, the other gods of wealth are the prime minister, the general, and so on.

In the eyes of Chinese, when it comes to the God of Wealth, everyone knows and knows about it, and many people also have the experience of worshipping the God of Wealth. But what the worship of the God of Wealth is all about, not necessarily everyone knows. In fact, as early as ancient times, people worshiped all things, respected heaven and earth, and hoped that heaven and earth could realize the wish of abundant grains. At that time, it was mainly based on farming culture, that is, I hoped that God could let the people have a bumper harvest after a year of farming. The earliest folk god of wealth is a culture that slowly spreads out in this way, that is, everyone hopes that their efforts will be successful. Studying, doing things, or starting a business, always hoping to be blessed and achieve good results. Of course, many times people can't control themselves, and after hard work, some people succeed, and some people may not succeed. Therefore, some people hope that there will be a mysterious power—superhuman power—to help him realize his wishes. In order to fulfill good wishes, faith arises.

Different nationalities and religions have different habits of worshipping the God of Wealth. Religion can respond to a wide range of human needs, including cultural, economic, health, IQ, and even emotional management. In the Han Dynasty, ancient scholars would pray to Emperor Wenchang to make their knowledge level higher and higher. Buddhists want to be blessed by Manjushri in order to increase their wisdom. In Tibetan areas, some people wish to calm their emotions and pray for compassion. Some people are eager for more and more wealth, hoping that their careers will be smoother and smoother, so they have the belief of worshipping the God of Wealth.

In Tibetan Buddhism, there are many gods of wealth headed by the king of wealth, for example, if the king of wealth is the king, the other gods of wealth are the prime minister, the general, and so on. Buddhism has the idea of cultivating the god of wealth, which sounds quite cheesy, but when we understand the root of this kind of practice, we will find that this kind of thinking is not vulgar at all, because in the world, we want to have a healthy body, a long life, and the freedom of the soul and the weight of words.

As a person of faith, he will fully believe in such a view, and as long as he can follow it, he will definitely be able to fulfill his wishes. For example, Buddhism believes that whether people seek wealth, good fortune, health, wisdom, or fame, they must first give, and only by sowing seeds can they reap the rewards. The most important thing in Buddhism is cause and effect – we want to find a result, but whether we first plant a cause. Correspondingly, when people worship the God of Wealth, they are actually learning the sowing mentality that the God of Wealth is willing to give to all sentient beings for the needs of sentient beings. If we have the mindset to sow seeds, we will reap. This is "giving". "Sacrifice" corresponds to our shame, greed, and so on. We are often accustomed to trying to find ways to have it, and having everything is our goal, and it is rare to think hard about where it comes from. Buddhism believes that everything is possessed by one's own good fortune, and if you don't sow it, then you won't reap it.

We must be willing to sow and do more good deeds. Do more good deeds, and good fortune will come naturally. How to do good deeds? It's very simple, if you have money, give us your money, if you don't have money, give us your physical strength, or give us our words, and praise others sincerely from the bottom of our hearts, hoping that others will get better and better. In short, do whatever you can for others, if you can't do it, you should also imagine with your heart, and let your heart have a strong sowing power in your imagination, and there will be a harvest.

In fact, people's idea of seeking wealth is a manifestation of desire. It will be useful to ask the God of Wealth, some things do not go well, and the help of nobles is strength, just like you are short of money now, it is okay to find a friend to borrow, and you can also borrow it from the God of Wealth. You can get this money, but you have to give it back, otherwise you don't know how to be grateful, and you will break the money even more.

Fortuna is a plumber

Since the God of Wealth teaches us that we can only reap if we sow seeds, then the God of Wealth in Tibetan Buddhism is just a plumber or plumber who helps us obtain wealth. Why?

We can use an analogy: our wealth is the water in the reservoir, and the blessing of our life is the reservoir. There is water in the reservoir and the pipes are smooth, so the tap water will flow smoothly to the home. If the pipes are rusty or vandalized, then we have to have them fixed. These people can't make it rain or build a reservoir, all they can do is unblock the pipes that carry the water. As for how much water can be stored in the reservoir, it depends on what we plant. If we didn't repair the reservoir ourselves, the plumber wouldn't be able to help.

Therefore, we sincerely cultivate the God of Wealth, and the greatest help of the God of Wealth to us is only to be able to dredge the pipes, and how wealth comes to us through the channels depends on our own sowing status.

Some people may not understand it, thinking that cultivating the God of Wealth is to ask the God of Wealth to give them money and good fortune, and as long as they cultivate the God of Wealth Method, they will definitely be able to cultivate it. It is impossible for the God of Wealth to create wealth for you, all wealth is brought from your own sowing and good fortune. You can only reap the harvest in this life if you sow and give alms in your past life, otherwise you will have to beg. Cultivating the God of Wealth, just like you have hoarded water in the reservoir, and the good fortune that should have belonged to you has not been received naturally because of obstacles or immaturity, through such offerings as you, the good fortune you should have has been brought to you. It's not that you take what you don't have, but what you have, and he can fix it for you, and he can fix it for you, and he will break down the obstacles and let it come. This can also be likened to an ATM card at a bank.
