The prince replied, "Father, no amount of wealth can relieve people's suffering, and if I am alone, I only need to sleep in one bed and eat three meals a day, and I really do not understand the meaning of existence." ”

The king persuaded bitterly, and the queen also felt sorry for her son, and persuaded the prince not to leave.

Looking at the expectations of his parents, who were the king and queen, the young prince did not have the courage to break through all this, and promised to give up those strange thoughts in the eyes of his father and be his prince with peace of mind.

In this way, another ten years passed, and although Prince Gautamamoses Dado did not pick up weapons again to conquer the battlefield, his eyes became more and more concerned about all kinds of sufferings that could not be removed from anyone at any time, anywhere, and in any place.

These sufferings come from a variety of reasons, such as survival, greed, evil thoughts, jealousy, misunderstandings, seeing people struggling in the world, Siddhartha Gautama is experiencing it all as if he was experiencing it himself, and his heart is full of suffering.

Finally, Siddhartha Gautama decided to give up his status as a prince and the comfortable life of the royal palace to leave home to find a way, and his parents tried to persuade him again to no avail.

At this time, he was no longer the prince in his heart, he was just Gautama Moses Dado, and the faith in his heart took possession of everything, so, on a quiet night, he quietly went out of the city, crossed the other side of the Nirenzen River, and went away without hesitation.

After six years of arduous search and practice, Siddhartha Gautama saw more life and death in the world, but he still could not find the way to liberation, and his heart became more and more confused.

In another six years, Gautama Moses Dado returned to the palace and traveled outside the city of Gaya, on the other side of the Nirenchan River, looking at the place where he had lived, thinking of his father, whom he had not met for many years, and finally following his footsteps and preparing to stop.

Gautama Moses Dado found a place to rest, sat down on the bank of the river, and quietly contemplated the source of suffering and happiness in the world.

See a tall Bodhi tree, covering the sky and green leaves, born surprisingly, there is a lotus platform under the tree, and there are two words Bodhi on it. Seeing these two words, Gauta Moses seemed to have an epiphany, unconsciously walked forward, stroked the trunk with his hand, watched carefully for a long time, and then turned to sit on the lotus platform.

On weekdays, ordinary passers-by can't see the lotus platform closely, but today Giota Moses not only sits steadily, but also has a bright appearance as soon as he sits down, and everyone is surprised.

Bodhi saw that Amitabha was reincarnated and practiced, shielded him from the sun and wind and rain, and instilled his innate aura into his heart.

Gautama Moses Dado was meditating, and suddenly felt that all the dust around him had receded, his whole body was transparent, his spiritual light was on the top, his heart was as clear as a mirror, and he felt that he had entered the realm of great enlightenment, and all his worldly troubles were thrown away, and he suddenly began to become enlightened.

Gautama Moses Dado was under the Bodhi tree, meditating, and vowing to "not be able to do the Tao and not sit down".

While he was pondering, an evil demon came to tempt him in the form of a beautiful woman, but he was unmoved.

After 7749 days, Gautama Moses Dado finally realized the way to liberation from the suffering of life and death under the Bodhi tree.

Bodhi saw the reincarnated Amitabha had an epiphany and returned to his original body.

The reincarnated Amitabha saw Bodhi and was amazed. Amitabha, who was reincarnated and attained, said to Bodhi, "Did you lead me to an epiphany?"

Bodhi said, "It's me." ”

The reincarnated Amitabha hurriedly gave Bodhi a big gift: "Thank you for the enlightenment." ”

Bodhi said: "You and I are destined, and now you have an epiphany, which is also your creation." I wonder if my brother remembers who I am?"

Amitabha said: "I don't know, please ask the immortal for guidance." ”

Bodhi said: "Amitabha, you and I originally wanted to fight for the Emperor of Heaven, but in the end it was fruitless, that day you devoted yourself to this world in order to inherit the Dao Law, do you remember?"

When the reincarnated Amitabha heard Bodhi say this, he hurriedly bowed and said, "Is it Brother Bodhi?"

Bodhi said, "Haha, it's me. You finally remember. ”

Amitabha took Bodhi's hand, sighed, and hurriedly said, "Thank you Brother Dao for enlightening, and now I finally have to see each other again." ”

"Brother don't have to be polite, you and I have a fate all the way, and now you have restored your true body and attained the Tao, which is not only your creation, but also your providence. ”

Amitabha said, "Brother Dao this time, my ability has grown a lot, but what is the great fate?"

"Haha, of course, we'll talk as we go!"

"Good!"

On that day, my brother turned around and threw himself into the mortal world, and I gradually calmed down, and thought: "There are still many sufferings for sentient beings from all walks of life in the Quartet, and we should do our best to purify all sentient beings, why bother so entangled in the originally impossible Emperor of Heaven!"

So he walked in the world, traveled all over the four continents and all over the world, saw all the states in the world, and returned to Xiniu Hezhou one day, so he came to the country of Najie Luo Hao, this country has a radius of hundreds of miles, the surrounding terrain is difficult and dangerous, separated from the world, see the abundant harvest here, the people in the country are simple, light wealth and righteousness. ”

When I first came here, I walked in the capital city, saw that the city was prosperous on both sides, the market was prosperous, I was walking, I saw a palace in a secluded place, there was no luxury decoration inside and outside the hall, it was just an ordinary slightly larger house courtyard, slightly renovated, there was a plaque in front of the door, which read: "Buddhism lights the lamp, more ancient and clear."

There was a faint person giving a lecture and teaching the Fa inside.

Bodhi is fond of practice, and when he hears about the Tao, he asks for advice when he encounters the Dharma, and when he sees someone here preaching the Dharma, he stops and watchs.

Seeing an old pedestrian who seemed to be a cultivator, about to go to the house, Bodhi bowed to him and asked, "Excuse me, what kind of place is this? Who is teaching the Fa in it?"

The old man replied, "You are from outside, this is an enlightened saint named Randen, and here he is talking about the Dharma." ”

Bodhi listened, it turned out that he was also a cultivator and a person who had attained the Tao, so he went into the door to see, the door was opened and there was no one to guard, but there were two big trees in the courtyard, both of which were more than ten zhang high, and they saw a peacock and a big peng parked on them, with huge bodies, shining wings, and sharp claws, and they were not ordinary birds.

What kind of sage is this Lamp-Burning Buddha?

It turned out that the Buddha was born in ancient times, and then he realized the sacredness of his own practice, because it was night when he was born, as soon as he was born, everything around him was as bright as a lamp, and the whole room was illuminated, so his parents gave him the name "Burning Lamp".

Early the next morning after Randen was born, a phoenix came to the tree in front of his house and landed on the tree and chirped, which people thought were amazing.

When he grew up, he was different from ordinary people, he was generous and kind-hearted, he visited and preached everywhere, and gradually created a Tao called Buddha, learning this way, you can understand life and death, and get rid of the desires and troubles of the world.

In order to promote this Taoism, Randen established a Buddhist lecture hall in the country of Najieluo, preaching the Dharma every day and benefiting all sentient beings.

Bodhi followed the old man into the door of the lecture hall, only to see that there is a different kind of cave in the door, don't look at the door is not big, but the inside is very wide, the whole is a palace appearance, there are hundreds of people sitting below listening to the teachings, there is an old man sitting on the high platform above, kind eyebrows and kind eyes, the Dharma is earnestly talked, it is the lamp.

Bodhi sat down at the back, ready to listen to the lamp preach the Dharma.

It turns out that today's lamp is about the past life and the present life, good and evil cause and effect, in addition to desires, not to have contentions, and to achieve great enlightenment.

Bodhi listened to the lecture on the lamp, and when he thought of his own twists and turns, he was quite touched, and he suddenly increased his comprehension.

Bodhi thought: "I wanted to fight for the emperor of heaven, but to no avail, now the emperor of heaven has been selected, I have no possibility, and I don't want to serve in the heavenly court, living under people, I want to completely retreat to practice, but it's a pity that my hard practice, the avenue and mana I have nowhere to show again, but today I see that there is such a ruling spirit in the world, why not practice with that Amitabha in the future and pass it on to him, I don't have to participate in the worldly disputes, practice freely, and Amitabha is determined to inherit the Tao, wouldn't it be both!"

Thinking of this, Bodhi left the place where the lamp was lit, made up his mind, and decided to stay in Xiniu Hezhou, wait for the reincarnation of Na Amitabha, and find an opportunity to light it.

Bodhi searched around in Xiniu Hezhou, and found an ideal place, which is a secluded deep mountain, called Lingtai Fangcun Mountain, this mountain is tall and beautiful, pure and far-reaching, there are many cliffs, full of strange flowers and plants, empty valleys and orchids, it is a good place to retreat and practice.

Then he opened a cave in this mountain and named it: "The three-star cave of the oblique moon, Bodhi will recuperate and cultivate his mind here, and at the same time wait for the reincarnated Amitabha." ”

After the reincarnation of Amitabha named "Gautama Ses Data", finally under the Bodhi tree after enlightenment, the heart got rid of the mortal dust, obtained the true immortal Dafa, and then did not cross the familiar Nilian Zen River at the door of his hometown, to see the father who had been close to him for many years, but visited the Tao with the Bodhi two, all the way to help the suffering beings, and more insight into the origin of the pain of life, in addition to the root of birth, old age, sickness and death, so that greed, ignorance, ignorance and other troubles no longer arise in the heart, great enlightenment, and then called Sakyamuni, which means that the saint of the Shakya clan is also called "such as lai!".
